Job description

Part-time consultant fundraiser

Communigrow provides opportunities using horticulture and social enterprise that educate, inspire and support young people and adults across Kent, many of whom face complex challenges, to improve their prospects for greater independence. We have an excellent reputation as a safe and supportive environment for education, skills and personal development. Using a 2.4 acre site we offer tailored interventions for diverse vulnerable and disadvantaged people. Several years of successful fundraising and expansion have enabled us to invest in the appointment of new staff and volunteers.

This new role will broaden our income streams by increasing individual and corporate donations, allowing further business development. The fundraiser will work in a successful and supportive team to approach individual and corporate donors to generate ad hoc and regular giving.  Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and manage communications with existing and new individual and corporate donors
  • Work closely with the Horticulture Director, Volunteer Coordinator and Education Coordinators to communicate our activities and value to beneficiaries
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to manage fundraising materials and events
  • Meet annual income targets
  • Maintain accurate record keeping
  • Be an excellent ambassador for Communigrow and an active networker across the region
