About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Coordinator to support our care teams in delivering a high-quality family support service in the region, working with families and professionals to ensure the families we support have access to the services they need.

Reporting to the Family Support Manager and working in partnership with health, education, and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for sourcing practical goods and services in the region, applying for grants and benefits, as well as working with other charities or community providers to obtain goods, equipment or funds for families that Rainbow Trust do not provide directly.

Having worked in a stressful or emotionally-demanding environment with an understanding of the complexities of working with children and families, you will have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and strong networks with other organisation to provide meaningful assistance to the families we support.

· Professional experience of working in an administrative or coordinator role - applications will be particularly welcome from those who have provided services in a health, social care, youth or education setting within a charity environment.

Purpose of the role

Tech Angels (previously Tech to Community Connect) is a service which aims to reduce digital exclusion across Surrey. In recent years, and particularly now in a post-pandemic society, so much connection happens digitally; those without the knowledge or equipment to connect to the internet are at a very high risk of loneliness and isolation, which have a significant negative impact on physical and mental health.

To combat this, we provide devices on long term loan to people who are disabled or living with a health condition, family carers, of older age, or to those with another vulnerability. We also offer a ‘match’ with one of our team of volunteer Tech Angels, to help with digital literacy and confidence.  We also supply sim cards with data to those, who don’t have wi-fi, so that they can be connected. 

The purpose of the role will be to drive and coordinate referrals into and through the service, making sure that people facing digital exclusion get the support they need to get (and stay) connected.  Ultimately the outcomes we are focused on achieving are a reduction in health inequality and an increase in wellbeing.

Main responsibilities

1. Coordination of Tech to Community Connect activity in a defined part of Surrey

2. Communication with people using the service, carers, volunteers, organisations that may have referred to the service and other stakeholders

3. Database management, record keeping and impact measurement following all data security policies

4. On-going support for people using the service who are in a ‘match’ with a volunteer Tech Angel, those waiting for a ‘match’ or those who are accessing another part of the service

5. Writing case studies and sharing the stories of people the service is helping

6. Promoting the service by pro-actively building relationships across organisations and groups in Surrey

Person specification

It is essential that you have:

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a range of formats and with a variety of audiences 

· Advanced organisation and coordination skills

· Good level of computer literacy including all Microsoft packages with experience of using a range of databases

· A high degree of self-motivation and able to work on own initiative

· Live within Surrey and be prepared to travel across the county when required

Role Purpose

To develop and deliver all aspects of our Grandmentors project across London, with particular focus on Brent borough, ensuring it achieves its aims, objectives, outcomes, and targets. The post holder will work closely with the Leaving Care team within Brent Borough Council and local volunteers to ensure that we improve and empower the lives of care leavers (aged 16-25) through the unique power of inter-generational mentoring.

Key Duties Responsibilities

· To hit the ground running to effectively deliver the service to ensure the project meets its agreed targets and milestones.

· Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and local authority staff at a day-to day level.

· To ensure volunteers are recruited, appropriately trained and supported in their role; this will involve processing volunteer expenses, DBS checks and maintaining the database.

· To ensure regular communication between project staff and volunteers is maintained and that regular supervision for volunteers is provided.

A little bit about the role 

We seek a graduate with excellent communication skills for our Recruitment team. You must be able to manage data, multitask, and adapt to dynamic environments. Enhance Frontline’s social worker training selection process with autonomy and a commitment to continuous improvement.

The Recruitment team is responsible for sourcing, selecting and hiring for 500 places for Approach Social Work (previously known as the Frontline programme) in local authorities across England.

We think the internship at Frontline is unlike other internships. You’ll be given plenty of opportunity to develop key skills for your future career, while also holding a core role within the team. You will be joining us at our busiest time and so will have day to day coordinator responsibilities throughout the year. This makes it a great first step into your career as you’ll have real practical examples to take forward. Some key responsibilities include:

Thomas Pocklington Trust is a national charity dedicated to delivering positive change for blind and partially sighted people.

This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of our Sight Loss Councils growth strategy in the region.

This role will support the Senior Engagement Manager (SEM) for the West Midlands to manage the Staffordshire and Birmingham & Black Country Sight Loss Councils (SLC) and set up and additional SLC in Coventry and Warwickshire.

The role is full time, and we will be looking to appoint at up to £27,000 per annum.

Sight Loss Councils (SLCs) are regional groups led by blind and partially sighted people. Together, they work with organisations to ensure what they do is accessible and inclusive.

There are currently around 25 SLCs across the country and we have plans to grow this further over the next 3 years.

National themes addressed by all SLCs are accessible public transport and street safety so everyone can travel independently and safely, and health and fitness. We also work to increase the accessibility of shopping, museums and galleries, depending on local area needs.

We are now seeking someone with the passion to help us progress this work across the region, through a person-centred approach.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with volunteers with a visual impairment or additional needs. With funding made available by Islington Council, we provide wraparound support in the form of orientation workshops; health and wellbeing; information relating to the asylum process; ESOL classes; social activities and befriending.

Our team manages key donor relationships, aiming to secure significant grants that will extend Tearfund's reach and impact around the world.

We have the privilege of working with a wide range of funders, as well as Tearfund's field staff, technical experts and leadership team. We enable funders to connect with the issues they are passionate about and to challenge the injustices they see. 

This role will involve conducting vital research on trusts and foundations to help us engage more effectively with existing donors and uncover new prospects. Additionally, you will support the team's administrative functions, ensuring smooth operations and effective planning.

Job Description

Report to: Head of Food Distribution and Volunteering

Responsible for: Leading the food distribution service and quality assurance at Hackney Foodbank’s allocated Food Distribution Centres located across the borough of Hackney. This includes ensuring all our visitors have a positive experience when collecting their food parcels and are signposted to other provisions appropriately; being responsible for directing the volunteers, working closely with the Head of Food Distribution and Volunteering, Health and Safety, and promoting best practice at each centre. This role will also involve administrative tasks, organising and carrying out home deliveries for visitors, inputting data on visitors’ journeys accurately into a database, driving the Hackney Giving Van occasionally and regularly driving a Luton van to the various Distribution Centres.

Part-time: 25 hours per week, evening and/or weekend work is required

Salary: £27,500 per year (pro-rata for 25 hours per week)

Compulsory: Must have a UK manual driving licence

Specific responsibilities:

· Attend Hackney Foodbank’s Food Distribution Centres to ensure each Centre is run in accordance with HFB’s best practice procedures.

· Treat visitors to the Food Distribution Centres with the utmost respect

· Work with volunteers to ensure a safe and efficient setup, including H&S responsibilities

· Manage all volunteers on site delivering services

· Ensure effective data capture and input onto the system

· Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure relevant and up-to-date signposting partnerships and referral systems are working efficiently

Ruils is a user-led charity based in the Richmond borough that supports disabled children and adults and the elderly to live independently, be part of their community and to live life to the full. We provide information, advice, advocacy, befriending and activities to our clients and their families.

Our ambition is to enrich people’s lives, help with their mental health challenges and reduce their isolation and loneliness. The localities of focus will be Whitton/Heathfield, Hampton North, Barnes North, Mortlake and Ham & Petersham. These localities are also where Ruils has lower levels of volunteer engagement and consequently community service provision.

Purpose of Post

• Working with the Community and Volunteer Manager to deliver our Community Independent Living Services (CILS). The role entails supporting Ruils’ Group Activities, Befriending, Active from Home Walks, as well as the recruitment and management of Ruils Volunteers.
• Working with the Community and Volunteer Manager, to manage our Core20Plus5 initiative to target resident engagement with community organisations in areas where this is identified as being low.
• To establish the reasons for this and draw up a plan for improved  local engagement by driving volunteer recruitment  and delivering increased  befriending and Active from Home client matches, new group activities, and establishing a trusted reach-out path for the currently dis-engaged residents at our Health and Wellbeing events.
• To provide input to Health and Wellbeing events organised by the Health in your Hands team in areas of focus.

Key Duties

• Support with the recruitment, matching, on-boarding, training and management of Ruils Volunteers in particular areas of focus and across the charity when required.
• Support with the administration and management of the Ruils Befriending, Active from Home Walks, and Community Group Activities, particularly in key areas of focus.
• Support new clients being referred into CILs services to access activities and services.
• Work with clients (with guidance and support) to:
• Access CILS services.
• Match with appropriate befriending volunteers.
• Access social and leisure opportunities in the community.
• Support (where appropriate) with facilitating Ruils online group activities.
• Support with the monitoring of CILS activities.
• Manage our Core20Plus5 initiative to engage with community organisations (council, voluntary, health & wellbeing, resident associations), and local residents to:
• Increase Ruils understanding of local health and wellbeing support needs.
• Record findings of engagements as basis for new services deployment.
• Promote new volunteer requirement at micro-level in targeted localities.
• Evaluate what new group activities will meet local resident wellbeing needs and propose plan for delivery.
• Support the delivery of Ruils Health & Wellbeing Events in key areas of focus including contacting local residents to promote the events.
• Identify, reach out and establish ongoing relationships with like-minded organisations to attend their health and wellbeing events in the targeted localities. As a community connector, outreach should also identity individual influencers in these areas in order to utilise their knowledge, insight and influence with the challenges faced by local residents.
• The goal is to establish a trust and confidence to maximise our engagement with local residents.
• Other duties as deemed appropriate relating to the community services, or Ruils services generally.

About the role

This is a new role and sits in the Fundraising and Digital Directorate. The Fundraising and Digital function is responsible for all the charity’s fundraising, brand, website, social media, emails and lead generation campaigns. This role sits within the Public Fundraising Team, which secures donations from individuals signed up to our newsletters and individuals giving up to £5,000 per year, legators and regular givers.

We are looking for somebody who enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and wants to develop their fundraising, and specifically digital fundraising skills to have a major impact on the lives of refugees in the UK.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Project Management

• Working with the wider public fundraising team, support the development of plans and activity to manage a portfolio of acquisition, retention and stewardship campaigns including, but not limited to, gathering content, setting up landing pages, creating graphics and assets for digital content, designing ad content, as well as delivering email and social media communications and digital versions of our supporter newsletter.
• Provide digital support for each fundraising project from start to finish. Lead on creating segmented and tailored email journeys – source content and create briefs, liaise with suppliers, create and oversee data selections, exports and imports and manage sign off process.
• Manage our email welcome journey for e-news sign ups, and support on the development of other supporter journeys for a range of audiences across the team.
• Ensure continued communications and strong working relationships with the Direct Marketing Manager and Digital and Comms teams.
• Play an active role in coordinating digital communication plans across the organisation, working alongside the Direct Marketing Manager and Comms colleagues to suggest themes and content as well as creating/scheduling content as and when required.

Email Marketing

• Day-to-day management of the email marketing programme, including drafting, building and managing campaigns and automations, and managing audiences.
• Work with colleagues and draw on existing data to develop insights and understanding about our supporters. Use this information to develop content which is engaging, informative, and meets supporters’ needs.
• Provide support to the Public Fundraising team for all email content, and ensuring all content aligns with wider organisational goals and principles.
• Champion email marketing best practices across the organisation, providing advice and feedback to improve email engagement and effectiveness.
