Home-Start Surrey is a growing, dynamic charity that works with families to give children the best possible start in life. We are now seeking a Project Support Officer to play a key role in supporting our work, with a particular focus on our Dad Matters project – an initiative helping dads build confidence, connection, and support in their parenting journey.
Dad Matters Surrey exists to support dads to have the best possible relationship with their families. We do this by providing 1:1 and group peer support, helping Dads make sense of parenthood, and providing or signposting Dads to mental health support and access to relevant services. Working closely with other professionals, we are able to better support dads in the first 1001 days of their parenting journey.
As Project Support Officer your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide day-to-day support for the Dad Matters Surrey project and other initiatives.
- Coordinate meetings and act as the main point of contact for project stakeholders.
- Take clear, accurate meeting notes and ensure actions are followed up.
- Support our communications and social media, helping us to engage families, volunteers, and partners.
- Contribute to marketing tasks, including producing promotional materials and content.
- Assist with researching funding opportunities and grants, supporting applications that help sustain and grow our services.
- Work closely with staff and volunteers to ensure smooth delivery of projects.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with great attention to detail.
- A confident communicator – both written and verbal.
- Proactive and enthusiastic, with a willingness to take initiative.

The Service Manager will be responsible for the operations of one service in Berkshire (Slough) which supports one individual to live in his own home.
The individual is a sociable and engaging man with a warm sense of humour and a deep appreciation for nature, music, and familiar company. He lives with a diagnosis of moderate learning disability, autism spectrum disorder, psychotic illness, epilepsy, and type 2 diabetes, all of which require thoughtful and consistent support. The customer has been living successfully in his current placement for over ten years, where he benefits from the continuity of staff who know him well, understand his routines, and help him maintain a sense of safety and autonomy.
The role will provide line management for a team of seven Specialist Behaviour Support Workers, ensuring that compliance with organisational, legal regulations and those of the local authority are adhered to and the quality of support is of the highest standard possible, ensuring excellent quality of life for the customer and a good working environment for colleagues.
The service has received a CQC rating of Good. The current team size includes 5 FTEs (Specialist Behaviour Support Workers) plus 2 FTEs Waking Night Support Workers, ensuring comprehensive support coverage across all shifts.
The working pattern for this role is primarily Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, with occasional requirements for weekend and out-of-hours work to meet service needs.

This role will support our transition from our in-house management platform to Salesforce.
The Opportunity
Our Membership Platform supports the College membership functions to make a difference to the lives of over 3.6 million children taught by our members. It is used to track, manage and support our members to access their benefits.
We are recruiting a Ruby Developer within the Service Operations team to manage our membership platform and provide support to users who access it. During the contract you will:
- Monitor and resolve any issues arising with the platform.
- Manage and maintain the platform so it remains operational.
- Work closely with the Head of Data and Digital to successfully transform and move the current data and services to a new platform built on Salesforce.
- Support membership operations with reporting, payment and refund requests.
This would be an ideal opportunity to work on a project to move our data and processes from a Ruby platform to Salesforce which will move the College’s processes forward to ensure a strong future. In this role you will:
- have autonomy for maintaining and managing our existing membership platform;
- work collaboratively with many of the team across the business, supporting recruitment and retention of our members; and
- help to grow the professional membership organisation for the teaching profession and be part of the team driving the organisation forward at an exciting time for the future of the College.
Platform Management and Maintenance
Most of the time, you will be managing the membership platform, fixing any bugs, keeping the server up to date, ensuring stability, and providing reports to various stakeholders within the College. You will also provide support to the membership team with refund requests through GoCardless and Stripe.
Data and Process Transition
You will spend some of your time working with the Head of Data and Digital to move all relevant membership data and processes over to Salesforce. This will entail preparing data in the correct format and providing support to move automated processes over to the new system.

About the opportunity
The Training Officer will have a range of administrative responsibilities relating to Action Tutoring’s tutor training delivery and curriculum resources.
As Training Officer, you will support the Training Team by scheduling sessions in digital systems, organising and checking ID and DBS documents submitted by volunteer tutors, and responding to enquiries to support a smooth tutor journey. The role does not involve delivering training to volunteers
