We are looking for:
Responsibilities
· Create a safe and accepting psychologically informed environment for vulnerable residents, whilst following safeguarding measures.
· Develop the recovery hub, embedding the “Rethink Recovery Toolkit”
· Deliver quality training, advising staff and residents on substance misuse and assist on the admin side of negotiations and conferences.
· Line manage a small number of staff
· Attend service user and care programme approach review meetings.
· Create trusting relationships with residents, motivating and empowering them to take next steps.
· Interview new referrals and recovery workers, ensuring your project meets their needs, and assessing physical and mental health for interventions.
· Develop links and effectively communicate with internal and external partners / connected organisations, providing covering when necessary.
· Organise peer support activities, assisting with money management following Finance policies and procedures.
· Ensure residents are assisted with managing their medication, strictly adhering to PRHA’s Medication policy.

About the role:
As our Mental Health Crisis Worker, you will be part of the Crisis Service working with and supporting men and women. This involves working with and alongside organisations within the Bristol Mental Health Partnership. This is a hub and spoke service with a 24 hour hub (providing a full crisis service across the city). You will therefore be required to work on a rota system including regular evenings and weekend working and must be able to drive and have access to an appropriate vehicle. You will be based at Southmead Hospital where the North Crisis Team is located.
The role is focused on providing a range of interventions to assist with daily health, social care and wellbeing needs to reduce the crisis, build resilience and improve wellbeing. You will be employed by Missing Link and seconded into our Bristol Mental Health Partnership and will therefore be operationally managed by AWP.
Key duties and responsibilities of our Mental Health Crisis Worker:
§ Build trusting and collaborative relationship with the service user
§ Work closely with carers, families and children and other services directly involved with service users, carers if appropriate
§ Carry out role adhering to Mental Health Bristol Partnership’s policies, procedures, values, code of conduct and current legislation using a Recovery orientated, psychologically informed, equalities based approach
§ Co-produce, update, implement and review a crisis plan, relapse prevention and other self-management tools
§ Implement the recovery plan and inform any review, working jointly with the Assessment and Recovery Team Recovery Navigator/Care Co-ordinator, in partnership with service users in line with best practice.
§ Coordinate support, refer and liaise effectively with all professionals, agencies and other parties involved in service user’s support in order to deliver the crisis support package
§ Enable delivery of the crisis and recovery plans and to enable service users to make informed decisions about their mental wellbeing, maximising their independence and providing advocacy role where appropriate
§ Provide specialist support to women using the service and advice and guidance to other team members regarding women’s mental health issues
§ Promote and facilitate service user involvement and inclusion within Mental Health Bristol and the community in line with Mental Health Bristol Partnership objectives
§ Manage caseload, documentation and time effectively, ensuring up to date, clear and accurate record keeping in line with MHB policies, making best use of supervision, training and staff development
§ Collaborate with other team members to maximise service performance, meet targets and Service Level Agreements and promote effective communication and teamwork
§ Maintain hope and optimism for the individual with high expectations for recovery. Use lived experience (if appropriate) to positively support the individual’s recovery

In the role of Night Support Worker you will be responsible for appropriately dealing with any emergency situations that arise during your shift and writing handover notes for the daytime workers. You will also carry out administrative tasks, hourly building checks and monitor issues like noise in the locality and within the building. Other responsibilities include actively engaging with residents and providing them with support and assistance during the night.

We're looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Support Worker to join our Hope House service in Slough.

We provide support for 16 customers, we have two sites Hope House (10 bed supported housing) Doddsfield Rd (6 flats independent living with floating support).
Hope House - Support hours 24 hours 7 days per week, with sleep- in based on a shift rota pattern - (sleep-ins staff are paid additional to salary advertised).
Doddsfield Rd - Floating support (during working hours)
Team - 1X Contract Manager, 1X Team Leader, 3.2 Support Workers.
Current Vacancy - 1x FTE/1 x FTC Support Worker role who will be allocated to work with customers at both sites.
Staff work closely with Slough Community Mental Health Team (SCMHT) we also have a designated Occupational Therapist working along side supporting staff. Customers also attend Hope College which is facilitated via Slough Mental Health Team as part of their recovery process needed in preparation into independent living.
This is a great opportunity for any support worker to gain exceptional experience within the mental health field, based on the solid working relationship with (SCMHT) We have since implemented training directly from SCMHT to support staff with understanding Mental Health diagnosis and Managing Crisis with our customers in-house.

Working in partnership with the London Borough of Newham and East London Foundation Trust, IBIS House supports people who are medically fit for discharge from mental health inpatient stays but have other barriers to discharge. These may include housing, living skills, accessing benefits or the community, or other interventions and will be on a person-centred basis. The main aim of the service is to provide short-term support to customers to link with longer-term services to reduce escalations in need, and reduce inpatient readmission and reduce pressure on inpatient beds.
Waking Night Support Workers are responsible for ensuring continuity of this support service at night and for keeping service-users and the building safe. More specifically, you will:
Understand the concept of recovery and apply those principles to develop an environment and service that enhances recovery.
Put the customer at the centre of their support and promote optimism and hope for their increased independence
Provide intensive support (both practical and emotional) to customers as required
Shifts will be on a rota pattern and are from 22:00 to 08:00. Includes weekends and bank holidays.

Working in partnership with the London Borough of Newham and East London Foundation Trust, IBIS House supports people who are medically fit for discharge from mental health inpatient stays but have other barriers to discharge. These may include housing, living skills, accessing benefits or the community, or other interventions and will be on a person-centred basis. The main aim of the service is to provide short-term support to customers to link with longer-term services to reduce escalations in need, and reduce inpatient readmission and reduce pressure on inpatient beds.
Waking Night Support Workers are responsible for ensuring continuity of this support service at night and for keeping service-users and the building safe. More specifically, you will:
Understand the concept of recovery and apply those principles to develop an environment and service that enhances recovery.
Put the customer at the centre of their support and promote optimism and hope for their increased independence
Provide intensive support (both practical and emotional) to customers as required

About the role:

- Carry out assessments, case management, support planning and the delivery of interventions for clients including those experiencing mental health and/or substance misuse issues who are multiply-disadvantaged in their homelessness.
- Provide assertive outreach and engagement with street-based service users presenting with complex needs and barriers to engagement. Carry out monthly street-based audits to inform reporting and analysis of service outcomes.
- Support clients who are rough sleeping or involved in day time activity in the footprints in which the team operate to end their homelessness by linking them in with appropriate internal and external support services relevant to their needs. To provide support to clients who are accommodated, but may require ongoing support in order to maintain this accommodation, linking them in to appropriate local services.

We are currently looking for inspirational people to join the Somewhere Safe to Stay Service (SSTS) team as Assessment and Reconnection Workers where no day is the same. You will work as part of a busy, dedicated team while developing the necessary skills to:
- Provide direct support to people new to, or at risk of rough sleeping; working closely with individuals on assessment action plans which fully involves them in their recovery. To do this you will build positive working relationships with a range of services and individuals across Oxford.
