Global Programme Manager (Nepal & Myanmar)

The Programme Manager is an exciting and influential role at RCPCH Global, a specialist unit within the College, in which you will lead the management of our maternal and child health programmes in Nepal and Myanmar, with some support for our work in Rwanda. Based in our London office, you will oversee the implementation of the programmes, including the delivery of high-quality programme activities.

As Programme Manager, you will monitor and manage all financial and budgetary aspects of the programme in compliance with donor requirements and take the lead on all programme reporting to donors, maintaining and ensuring high-quality programme monitoring and evaluation processes are adhered to.

Crucially, you will be responsible for liaising with local programme counterparts and stakeholders in the field, which may include regular field visits. You will also take the lead on the recruitment and management of long-term programme volunteer clinicians, as well as short-term advisory consultants, for the programme.

In addition to wider donor liaison, you will help develop new programme grant agreements with a preliminary focus on UNICEF and the James Percy Foundation, as well as promoting RCPCH Global activities to external stakeholders.

Suitably qualified in international development, public health, international and global health, health systems strengthening and child health, or with equivalent work experience, you should have excellent project/programme management skills and have a background in a relevant international/development management or implementation role. 

With demonstrable experience of designing, initiating and leading complex programme development processes, including with senior government counterparts, local partner organisations and international and multilateral donor agencies, you should have a significant understanding of budget management and financial reporting, including to bilateral and multilateral donors.

Previous experience of successfully managing large complex programmes, including supporting field-programme teams both remotely and in the field, within the international development and/or health sectors is essential, whilst experience of working in developing countries would be desirable.

Although based in London, this role may include some travel to Nepal. Additional travel to Rwanda as part of support role may be required. 

RCPCH Global is a unit within RCPCH which designs and manages a range of international projects and programmes to improve neonatal, child and adolescent health, primarily in sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Our programmes use teams of skilled clinicians and other health professionals to work with counterparts in targeted low-income countries to train and mentor doctors, nurses and other health workers, as a means of helping to build the capacity and quality of the health systems in those countries. 

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health sets and maintains standards for the education and training of all doctors working in paediatrics and child health in the UK. We advocate on child health issues at home and internationally. Additionally, through a variety of activities, the College influences the quality of medical practice for children in hospital and in the community. 

The RCPCH has more than 22,000 members and fellows and employs around 200 staff, most of whom work in our London office in Holborn. We have smaller offices in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

London's Air Ambulance treats patients who experience critical injury in the capital and support them and their families on a road to recovery. This is only possible through close collaboration between  London's Air Ambulance Charity, the London Ambulance Service (LAS), Barts Health NHS Trust (Barts), London's Major Trauma Centres and the wider Major Trauma Networks, to deliver groundbreaking care and save lives.

To deliver this service the Charity is split across two locations, with offices in Mansell St and in the Royal London Hospital. 
The Charity has grown significantly in size and complexity over the last few years and we are now seeking a Finance Business Partner to support the Deputy Director of Finance to provide the charity's Financial Performance and Analysis function.

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Finance this post supports the provision of high quality financial reporting to assist budget holders, managers, directors and trustees. Acting as a finance business partner you will provide financial insights, analysis, and guidance to support decision-making and drive the financial performance of the charity.

Key areas of responsibilities;

• Stakeholder collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including finance and non-finance colleagues, to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Financial reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the charity, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Own the full life cycle of reports from build to delivery.
• Budgeting and forecasting: Assist the Head of Financial Performance & Analysis in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, collaborating with department heads to gather necessary information and oversee the consolidation and review of departmental budgets into a cohesive organisational budget.
• Financial analysis: Monitor actual performance against projections and conduct analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities.
• Systems accounting: Maintain and improve the charity's accounting systems and processes, ensuring data integrity and implementing new features or upgrades as required.
• CRM management: Work closely with the Head of Financial Accounting and Head of Data to ensure financial reporting requirements are adequately considered when managing the CRM.
• Advanced data analysis: Utilise tools such as PowerBl, Power Query, and advanced Excel functions to build reports, conduct in-depth financial analysis and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.

The Events Manager is a crucial role at the College, as you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of the College’s annual flagship conference. As Events Manager, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to ensure this event is executed to an exemplary standard.

You will manage the Conference Committee and work closely with College Officers, Members and internal colleagues including the Creative Content and Marketing, Children and Young People and Corporate Services Teams to deliver our high-profile conference. Helping to ensure impactful campaigns are created to drive delegate registration and engagement, you will also be responsible for producing detailed project plans and RASCIs for the conference.

Reporting to the Head of Events, you will provide support with the tracking of event expenditure, managing supplier procurement processes and negotiating with suppliers to guarantee value for money. Taking the lead on all College relationships with internal and external service providers, you’ll also ensure that site visits and assessments are carried out where necessary, making certain that insurance, legal and Health & Safety obligations are adhered to.

In addition to the flagship conference, you will support the wider team in the delivery of other high profile engagement activities including international conferences, membership ceremonies, regional member events, dinners and a number of ad-hoc events according to College priorities. You will also deliver virtual events as required, taking the lead on researching virtual event solutions to ensure that the College meets shifting member needs.

Educated to a good standard, with demonstratable experience of delivering large scale (1,000+) educational or scientific conferences, you should have a background of working with external professional conference organisers along with experience of working in a membership or not-for-profit organisation.

Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills with colleagues, internal and external stakeholders and suppliers are essential, as are outstanding communication skills, both oral and written.

With a good understanding of project management methodology and how to apply it to events, you should have a sound knowledge and insight into the wider event industry, in order to keep up-to-date with trends, developments, innovation and legislation. Solution centric to enable innovation, you must be able to adapt to changing situations.

Line management experience and the ability to motivate and develop direct reports is essential, whilst an event management or project management qualification, along with experience of running events outside of the UK would be desirable.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following stroke. The Role

Reporting to the Service Delivery Coach in the East of England, you will have the ability to support stroke survivors to identify their goals. Using strong assessment skills and a person-centred approach enabling them to maximise their recovery and improve communication.

• Promote and support a positive whistleblowing culture, assist Champions, People and Culture, managers and the audit and compliance team on concerns raised and ensuring the whistleblower is protected.

Reporting and Analysis

• Attend and develop AINMs review meetings for maximum impact in terms of positive safety culture. Ensure the lessons learned from AINMs reviews, safety reviews, and safeguarding concerns are shared and feedback loops are closed.
• Review the collation and analysis of AINMs and Safeguarding alerts, developing the Audit and Compliance team, as well as other operational teams in reflection and root cause analysis

Data Protection

• Monitor the use of external data protection and compliance partners to ensure we maintain ICO requirements and maintain our Data Security Protection Toolkit Certification.
• Monitor and ensure integrity in document control, policy, and procedures as they are developed, reviewed, and published.
• Understand and support an Information Security infrastructure alongside additional teams in the organisation and support Managers and teams with training and challenges where necessary.

Synergy, Brent is a Housing Related Support (HRS) Service for a range of vulnerable people who have been or are at risk of homelessness. The age eligibility criteria for the service is adults between the ages of 18 to 60, who are identified to have low/medium support needs. Some of the needs we support are:

• Socially excluded individuals
• Ex-Offenders
• People with substance misuse

• Women who have come from domestic abuse environments and situations who may need low level support as part of their resettlement following a move on from a refuge or other safe domestic abuse supported accommodation.

PROPERTY AND HOUSING MANAGEMENT

• Create and manage a welcoming, psychologically informed home environment for residents and participants, ensuring a continuous focus on safety, health, and wellbeing.
• Ensure the accommodation in which residents live is maintained to a high standard, in line with SIG’s property standards and meets all legal and statutory health and fire safety requirements to operate safely, effectively, and efficiently.
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance issues are correctly reported and managed through to completion.

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

• Provide support in setting the service’s budget and reviewing monthly management accounts; manage set budgets effectively and ensure resources are maximized.
• Maintain financial management within the service, including but not limited to, invoice management, arrears management, management of petty cash, and expense claims.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contract Management and Internal Auditing; Ensure due diligence is carried out and records are well maintained.

We are seeking an experienced leader with a deep commitment to care, creativity, curiosity and inclusion to work closely with the Chief Executive of this vibrant social enterprise. The COO will oversee the company’s systems, finances and HR, and further build on our person-centred organisational culture.

At 64 Million Artists we believe that everyone is creative and that when we are creative we can make positive change in our lives and in the world around us. Over the last 10 years we have built a thriving business and a team of 11 working across the UK embedding creativity in communities, workplaces and universities. We have built an inclusive workplace culture of our own working a 4 day week and taking August off.

This role will lead our efforts to embed equity and inclusivity in everything we do, managing and supporting our team, our culture and our processes.
