What You’ll Do:
As our Head of Fundraising, you will play a vital role to help deliver the League’s vision of a kinder society where animals are no longer persecuted in the name of ‘sport’. Your responsibilities will include:

• Driving the development and delivery of the charity’s individual giving programme and all related activities, projects and materials (both offline and digital)
• Maintaining and growing income, ensuring income targets are met while expenditure runs within budget
• Managing and co-ordinating planning and reporting across the Fundraising department
• Ensuring excellent service is delivered to supporters

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in the day-to-day operations of UWLSU’s food and beverage outlets, supporting an award-winning, student-led organisation. As Food & Beverage Outlet Manager, you will help deliver a high-quality service across our outlets, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and an excellent customer experience.

You’ll refine our service offer, support the delivery of catering for private and in-house events, and work closely with a team of full-time and student staff to create a welcoming and engaging environment. What you’ll be doing

You will oversee daily operations across multiple outlets, ensuring a consistent, high-quality service. Key duties include supervising staff, managing rotas and training, supporting stock control and purchasing, monitoring KPIs, and contributing to commercial improvements. You’ll help deliver catering for events, maintain compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety standards, and engage with students and customers to continuously improve our services.

The working hours for this role are usually between 0730 and 1800, Monday to Friday on a rota basis but there will be occasional work outside of these times.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You will shape the welcome, experience, and customer journey of the thousands of residents, partners, and visitors who come to our centres every year.

You will lead and develop the team to oversee our room hire service, provide Front-of-House to all operations and activities, and grow the vibrancy and usage of our centres in line with charity objectives and values.

You will continuously administer and develop our systems, which will enable business development, provide streamlined and connected pathways to community services, and supply impactful operations support to the whole organisation.

Key responsibilities

Team Leadership and Management:  

• Lead, support, and develop our team of Customer Experience Assistants to ensure our centres are busy, thriving, and welcoming hubs.  
• Coach the team to maintain systems and oversee the community and customers’ journey through all our offers and services, enabling a seamless and efficient experience. 

Busy and Thriving Centres: 

• To increase utilization rates across all Trust spaces for community and business use, growing revenues and impact through excellent interpersonal relationships, strong systems, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. 
• To lead and develop our room hire services, working with colleagues to produce compelling, effective, and targeted marketing material and campaigns, and set the sales strategies, including reviewing pricing and re-purposing spaces as required. 
• Ensure excellent customer relations across all activities and services, including Greenway Gym, room hire, tenancies, snooker, and our wellbeing services.  
• Manage and develop the on-site cafe concession to align with charity goals and values.
• Develop and implement systems for community and customer feedback on the experience at our centres. 
• Lead the development of events as a core income stream for the Trust. Coordinate the events programme across our centres to enable colleagues, partners, customers, and the community to run events in our spaces. 
• Deliver a reliable service to the day-to-day needs of our tenants and licencees, focusing on retention and partnership development, working with the Operations Manager on key challenges and change. 

Systems Management   

• Manage the day-to-day use of core CRM systems, particularly OnCentre and Beacon, to ensure they are robust and enabling. Take proactive action on feature development, efficiencies, data integrity, writing processes and guidance, and conducting staff training. 
• Collaborate with managers across the Trust to ensure that the Front-of-House team and our systems act as a ‘front door’ to the whole organisation, knowledgeably connecting any visitor or contact to a positive next step. 
• Work with the Operations Manager and others to develop Trust software to enable growth, efficiency, integration, decision-making, and community action.

ABOUT THE CLINK CHARITY

The Clink Charity, founded in 2009, aims to prevent and reduce reoffending through training, rehabilitation and support. We deliver hospitality and horticulture training behind prison walls and in the community, creating an environment where students gain skills, confidence and qualifications to rebuild their lives.

We have trained approximately 5,000 people in prison and delivered 2,600 City & Guilds qualifications across hospitality and food courses.

A unique part of The Clink is our post-release support and mentoring programme, supporting individuals with health and mental health needs, housing, employment, family connections and friendships.

The charity operates a fine-dining restaurant inside HMP Brixton, training kitchens across the prison estate, horticulture projects at HMP Send and HMP Erlestoke, a commercial bakery in Brixton, and a bespoke delivery service, Catered by Clink.

Clink Events is our social enterprise catering business, with food produced by women in HMP Downview and an additional kitchen in Herne Hill. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 General Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for financial management, including strategic planning, reporting, budgeting, systems and controls.
• Responsibility for IT, HR, premises, lettings and administration.
• Active member of the senior leadership team, working with colleagues and the Board of Trustees.
• Promote the Charity’s ethos and support charity initiatives and policies.

Financial Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the financial strategy and conduct financial modelling for strategic decision-making.
• Lead all financial procedures and reporting, including monthly budget monitoring, management accounts and annual accounts.
• Maintain financial controls, standards and systems.
• Prepare and maintain budgets, financial plans and forecasts.
• Provide information for financial returns, bids and grant claims.
• Maintain the Asset Register and Risk Register.

Premises Management
