ROLE OVERVIEW

As the Senior Income Generation Manager, you will be instrumental in spearheading income generation initiatives to achieve our Business Plan objectives. Working closely with the Head of Development and Quality, as well as our Senior Leadership Team, you will envision income generation proposals that leverage our strengths and foster synergies within our community-based services. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Good understanding of funding sources for the public and voluntary sector, particularly within homelessness services.
• Familiarity with commissioning and procurement processes related to the voluntary sector.
• Experience in managing or delivering fundraising targets and creating comprehensive fundraising strategies.
• Proven track record in successful bid and grant applications, from conception to delivery.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills, with experience in utilising data to develop business cases and communication strategies.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

MacIntyre Academies Trust is passionate about providing children and young people with life-changing education and support which enables them to build skills for life, achieve exceptional outcomes regardless of their starting point and build lifelong memories. The Trust runs 4 special schools and one children’s home. 

The Trust is part of the MacIntyre Care Group, a national charity founded in 1966 by a father, Ken Newton Wright, who wanted to ensure that disabled children could live and learn in an ambitious, child-centered and nurturing environment. Over 50 years later, this ideology remains at the heart of everything we do. 

Endeavour Academy was opened by the Trust in 2014, it consists of a Endeavour School and an on-site residential home, Endeavour House. Endeavour Academy is for children and young people with autism and moderate or severe learning disabilities.  The School and the House have separate leadership structures which work in close partnership, with some roles which work across both settings. 

Endeavour House provides 6 permanent placements and 5 short break places used for respite provision.  Since opening in 2014 the children’s home has had a strong track record in OFSTED judgements, with the more recent history presenting some challenges and opportunities for development. As the home approaches its 10th anniversary we are looking for an exceptional leader to take the home through the next chapter and drive forwards improvements. 

The Role 

As Head of Care (Registered Manager) you will have overall responsibility for the management, leadership and direction of the children’s home. You will work with the support of the Responsible Individual and the Trust Central Team. 

The role will be busy and varied and you will take the operational lead for all safeguarding matters. You will also be responsible for training and supervision. You must be willing to go above and beyond for the children and young people, ensuring that they have a positive experience of childhood that they can reflect upon and carry with them into adulthood. 

You will work in close partnership with the Principal and senior leadership team of the on-site school to ensure continuity of provision across the school and the home and the development of the 24-hour curriculum. 

About You 

You will be an inspirational and driven leader, with a strong track record of people management and ‘taking a team with you’. You will not be shy of a challenge, you will be innovative and solution focused. You will be passionate about team development and an experienced coach and mentor. 

You will have significant experience of working in a residential childcare setting, and you will have previous management experience. You will have a commitment to delivering high quality care according to OFSTED regulations. You will also have a good understanding of SCCIF guidelines to help focus on the things that matter most to children’s lives. 

You will have some in-depth knowledge of have Autism and Severe Learning difficulties and experience of designing bespoke solutions to children who requires specialist support strategies to achieve excellent outcomes.

A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young People’s Residential Management) qualification is a bonus but not essential as we support you to enroll and complete this. You must however have supervisory or management experience and have worked within a children’s residential setting within the last 5 years to meet OFSTED regulation requirements. 

You will hold a current UK Driving License and have access to a vehicle which can be used for business purposes.

New Horizon Youth Centre runs a busy day centre from Monday to Friday, providing basic needs to young people experiencing homelessness and a one-stop-shop for housing advice, youth work activities, counselling, jobs, education and training support. The Services Manager (Day Centre) is a brand new role for the organisation. They will work as part of the existing Youth Work Team to provide vital additional capacity and expertise to respond to the significantly increased demand we have been experiencing. This role is primarily focused on delivering our frontline day centre service each week. You will spend around 2-3 days per week frontline as our Duty Manager ensuring the smooth running of the day centre. You’ll also be responsible for coordinating our weekly rota, line managing the team, overseeing our Locums, Students and Volunteers programme, supporting with donations and day centre stock, and delivering staff training . You should be passionate about supporting young people who are unsafe or facing homelessness, be able to motivate a multi-disciplinary team of staff and have the energy to problem solve in a fast-paced environment on a daily basis. 

Salary: £37,024 - £41,600

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE SLT

Right now, one of our partners, Richmond Fellowship, is looking for an Employment Specialist to join their Surrey Employment service. We help individuals with mental health problems to find paid employment or return to their current role after a period of ill health. We also assist employers and employees to successfully resolve mental health problems in the workplace. But, it’s only possible with the help of people like you.

Your challenge? To do everything you can to help the individuals we work with to source appropriate work experience placements and paid roles with local organisations/employers. Day to day, you’ll offer support, careers advice and guidance, helping people to set their own recovery and employment focused goals and provide training in personal and skills development such as CV preparation, interview techniques etc. You’ll also be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive links with community mental health teams (CMHRS), Early Intervention Into Psychosis (EIIP) Teams, partner organisations, local employers and other relevant agencies and have the initiative to develop and promote the service. Additionally, you will have responsibility for maintaining efficient admin systems to ensure referrals, assessments and reviews are completed in a timely manner.

As well as a good understanding of the IPS model of working, mental health problems and the issues and barriers this can create for our clients, you’ll need excellent motivational, presentation and listening skills and a willingness to travel in the local area and to work outside of office hours as required.

There is one vacancy being recruited for covering a smaller geographical area of East Surrey however the delivery is Surrey and borders wide. The successful candidate will be based in Leatherhead office. The post-holder will therefore be a car driver, with access to their own vehicle.

This is a permanent part-time role requiring the post holder to work 22.5 hours per week.

Richmond Fellowship is part of Recovery Focus, a national group of charities highly experienced in providing specialist support services to individuals and families living with the effects of mental ill health, drug and alcohol use, gambling and domestic violence. From 1st June 2024 Richmond Fellowship will be merging with the mental health charity Humankind to form a single organisation that provides the joined-up mental health, housing and drug and alcohol support we’ve all known has been needed for decades. In October 2024, Humankind will then be renamed to reflect the new, bigger and better organisation.

To provide safety planning, support, advice and assistance to children who have experienced domestic violence and abuse and are staying in the refuge.

The work will focus on preventing domestic abuse by providing support and facilitating safe space for children and young people and peer support networks in the refuge and supporting children and young people to keep safe in/maintain their refuge accommodation

The post-holder will work to empower and support children to make positive choices.

To establish resettlement services to support women and children to move on from refuge accommodation.

The post-holder work as part of the refuge team, with clients who live in the refuge after being referred via the Front Door Service.

To participate in the delivery of the on-call out of hours service on a rota basis.

Do you have experience working with families and children aged 0-13, a good understanding of the needs of vulnerable families and a relevant vocational or academic qualification?

Welcare is recruiting an experienced Family Support Worker to deliver a broad-based preventative support service for families with children up to the age of 13 in partnership with schools, churches, the local authority and other agencies, in the London boroughs of Bromley and Greenwich.

You will be delivering practical and emotional support to enhance the life chances of children who have experienced domestic abuse and social isolation through one-to-one support and group work programmes.  The post requires working with families in person and online remote working.  The office base is in Community House, Bromley.

Working within the Money Advice Service, the Senior MAS Adviser supports clients with a range of debt and welfare rights issues, providing advice and information in person, via email and on the phone. 

This includes: 

• Using independent information sources and internal tools to provide holistic debt and benefits advice, reviewing and translating complex information to clients to ensure they understand the options available to them 

• Delivering advice on a wide range of topics, such as debt, housing and welfare, in line with the Scottish National Standards 

• Analysing, interpreting and recording information to the required quality standards 

Responsibilities 

Advice Work and Support 

• Deliver advice and support to individuals and families who are using a foodbank or have used a foodbank in the past 

• Attend foodbank sessions to provide in-person advice and engage new clients 

• Deliver advice remotely by phone and email 

• Ensure accurate information and advice is given 

• Assist in audit processes 

• Attend training relevant to the Financial Inclusion sector to ensure knowledge and understanding of current legislation is up to date 

Case Management  

• Carry a specialist case load and deliver ongoing support to clients 

• Manage referrals to external agencies and partner organisations 

Project Reporting and Statistics  

• Ensure that accurate, legible and comprehensive case records are kept (in line with FCA and SNS) 

• Ensure that accurate statistics are available for reports as required 

  Other duties 

• Take responsibility for maintaining records and completing reports on work and activities as required for funders and auditors

• Adhere to the policies and procedures of Edinburgh Food Project
