Micro Rainbow is looking for an Individual Giving Manager to create an individual giving and fundraising strategy for the organisation. In this newly created position, you will play a crucial role in nurturing relationships with individual supporters to make a difference to the lives of LGBTQI refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. As Individual Giving Manager you will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies to attract, retain, and upgrade Micro Rainbow’s allies (individual donors), ensuring a steady and growing stream of funding and contributing to the sustainability of Micro Rainbow.

Purpose of the role
The Facilities Manager will be a key member of NAE’s operations team, responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of our 4-storey building (including gallery spaces, meeting rooms, performance space, workshop, artist studio, cafébar, plant room and technical storage) is fit for purpose.
Main duties of the role
Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM), testing/inspections, and reactive repairs across all building services including but not limited to plumbing, electric wiring, HVAC, lifts, film alarm, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers and suppression systems, intruder alarm, CCTV, access control, pest control, etc, within budget.
Ensure NAE’s building is always well-presented, clean and aesthetically in a good state of repair, ensuring all areas are maintained in a tidy and well organised.
Responsible for the management of the facilities budget, including negotiating the best possible value across utilities, contracts and service level agreements.
Ensure all maintenance and service works take place with agreed SLA’s, is delivered on time and to budget and service reports and other filing is well managed.
Responsible for Health and Safety across the building and organisation including health and safety policy, fire strategy, risk assessments covering all areas of the building and specific RAs for each event, safe systems of work, accident/incident reports and compliant filing.
Responsible for building security systems, keys and fobs, alarm monitoring and keyholding services, and alongside the General Manager oversee emergency procedures & act as a fire warden.
Responsible for premises cleaning (including line management of two part-time cleaners) and associated services such as waste management and sanitary collections.
Support the Executive Director to develop and implement an Environmental Policy to ensure that NAE considers the environment within all new and existing suppliers’ arrangements.Responsible for carbon footprint reporting.

DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Rent Officer to join our small, dispersed Rent Team which consists of a Rent Team Leader; two Rent Officers, and two part-time Rent Team Administrators which sits within our Housing and Property services. In conjunction with our Supported Housing services, the Rent Team is responsible for the collection of the organisation's rent and other property charges. As a Rent Officer you will manage a caseload of properties and will be responsible for monitoring rent accounts; ensuring that appropriate action is taken to maximize rental income. You will ensure accuracy of rent accounts’ and service users’ information held on the rent management database (Pyramid).
In addition, you will liaise with relevant local authorises housing benefit departments; ensuring positive relationships are forged. You will have knowledge of the external environment in which YMCA DownsLink Group works and keep abreast of key changes, particularly around Welfare Reform.
Hybrid role – mainly based at Reed House in Hove, with an expectation to work out of other locations across the YMCA DownsLink Group area when required. New Horizon Youth Centre has been commissioned by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) as part of an Alliance with Safer London, St Giles Trust and the Anna Freud Centre to deliver on their Children and Young People’s Violence and Exploitation and Reduction support service. The commission will run from June 2024 for three years. As part of this, an additional service will be set up within the NHYC Youth Justice team specifically to deliver on the Alliance contract. This will include a team of Housing Caseworkers who will carry out assessments and advocacy work with young people under 25 who are fleeing violence and exploitation, in order to move them on successfully into both emergency and long-term housing options. You should be passionate about working with this client group, able to manage a fast-moving caseload, and committed to working collaboratively with a team across multiple services.
Salary: £31,200 - £34,736

As a Specialist Housing Partner you’ll provide a high quality, efficient, effective housing and support service to customers that live in their Specialist Housing Schemes including Independent Living Schemes, enabling them to feel safe and supported to live well and independently for as long as possible. With a focus on building management, tenancy management and keeping tenants safe in their homes, you’ll provide comprehensive support including support planning at critical points and ensure any issues are resolved in the first instance whilst maintaining professional boundaries.
What you’ll bring:
- Previous experience of delivering a quality housing management service within a specialist or generic housing context.
- Ability to work under pressure and thriving on challenges to achieve positive outcomes for customers while maintaining accuracy and high performance.
- You will be flexible in your approach to work, including where you work (different schemes or attend training further afield) and when you work (sometimes they may need to work outside of usual office hours).
- Must have access to your own transport for business use (and appropriate license).
This position is subject to a DBS check.
Location
The successful candidate will be required to live within a commutable distance to their scheme in Nottingham.
They’re a keen promoter of agile working and encourage the use of working from home, as long as they meet their customer’s needs.
They’ll provide you with the equipment and software that you’ll need for the purpose of your role however it will be your responsibility to have an appropriate space to work from as well as a suitable broadband connection/provider.
Salary
The spot salary for this post is £14,500 per annum (FTE £29,000 per annum) for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all of the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.
