Job description

The Wallich is one of the most important organisations working to combat homelessness in Wales. The Wallich has grown in size over the last decade, making us the largest Welsh-focused charity working in the sector. But with 132 services, 500 staff and supporting 8,000 people a year, we have so much more to do.

The Director of Finance is responsible for financial leadership across the charity. The Wallich is excited to move into an era of opportunity. Following a challenging period for charities, the organisation has worked hard to successfully regain financial stability.

Applicants must be a chartered accountant. You will be required to balance both The Wallich’s operational and strategic aims while building on positive relationships across the organisation. You will ensure we raise and spend funds to the long-term benefit of those who we support.

The role is accountable to the CEO for all aspects of the organisation’s finances, for ensuring that all income and expenditure are managed and monitored systematically, prudently, legally and with probity.

This role is subject to a Standard DBS check

Closing date for this vacancy is 9th June 2025 at 09:00am.

The Wallich reserves the right to close this vacancy early should sufficient applications be received. Therefore, we encourage early applications to ensure consideration.
