About the role

• Be a key point of contact for receiving and processing referrals to the Providence Row, Resource Centre.
• Complete assessments of those referred to the Centre
• Make statutory and non-statutory housing referrals dependant on the persons need and eligibility.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, including outreach teams, health services, City of London Police and other support organisations.
• Work within the Team Around Me model, engaging closely with the City Outreach Teams and the Navigator service to develop and implement joint action plans for people rough sleeping.
• Connect City clients with essential health services to address tri-morbidity—the complex combination of physical ill health, mental health, and substance use that often affects individuals experiencing chronic homelessness.
• Facilitate referrals to training, employability, and volunteering programs to support long-term stability and independence.

Lancaster & District Homeless Action Service Limited, known as LDHAS, is a registered charity and they have been working with street homeless and vulnerably housed people for over 32 years. They provide essential needs support, advice and information, from their centre in Lancaster with additional support from visiting partner agencies like Citizens Advice, Changing Futures, SafeNet, Calico, Red Rose Recovery, the Hep C Trust and Inspire.

The Role

The post holder will provide an engagement service with neighbours, the local community, visiting professionals and the clients, volunteers and staff of LDHAS in line with its aims and objectives.

The postholder will have lived experiences which support the work of LDHAS. They will have up to date knowledge of key stakeholders, support networks and agencies. They will liaise and engage with a variety of homeless hub organisations as required.

The postholder will support LDHAS clients, motivating and enabling clients as they engage with LDHAS and advocating for them as appropriate. The postholder will create a psychologically safe environment for clients enabling the completion of dynamic assessments, share information about LDHAS services and triage clients enabling them to access the services offered by key stakeholders including those organisations supporting the LDHAS hub in order to support individual needs. They will support clients with clothing, shower and laundry facilities. 

The postholder will coordinate the engagement aspect of day to day running of the centre, including the attendance of clients and the management of donations and footfall in the building. They will ensure that health and safety protocols and procedures are maintained throughout the building during the hours of opening, alert to safeguarding and ensuring procedures followed.

They will ensure that good relations are maintained with the neighbours of LDHAS and with the local community. They will ensure that LDHAS clients in the immediate vicinity of the building are conducting themselves in an acceptable way.

• Coordinate footfall and manage client and visiting professional requests through the day.

• Contribute to reports and provide feedback when necessary

Client care

• Support clients choosing to share their experiences and to resolve inter-personal issues
• Create a psychologically safe environment.
• Advocate for clients and support their journey of recovery

About the role 

This is a key role in providing administration and organisational support to the CEO and the Board. The successful candidate must have the ability to exercise good judgement in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative skills, and the ability to maintain a balance among multiple priorities. This is a part-time position with flexibility on the number of days worked each week, with a minimum of one to two days in the office.

As a key member of the CRM team, you’ll support the delivery of our CRM strategy by managing the end-to-end execution of email campaigns using Adobe Campaign. From audience segmentation and data selections to workflow creation, quality control, and reporting, you’ll play a central role in ensuring campaigns are accurate, timely, and engaging. You’ll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, coordinate briefs, and contribute innovative ideas and testing plans. We’ve established a specialist CRM function with a cross-organisational remit, working collaboratively across the business to develop and co-ordinate a programme of communication that strengthens engagement with all those who want to support our cause, in keeping with our strategic goal of giving anyone who comes into contact with Shelter the chance to help end the national housing emergency.

132 Assessment Centre is for single homeless men and women that have links within the borough. The accommodation provides 6 separate self-contained units with on suite bedrooms, and 1 bedroomed flat. The scheme is staffed 24 hours, with Night Support Workers and Concierge cover during the evenings.

The aim of the project is to assess the individual over a 12-week period with the aim of identifying their support and housing needs. In that period, we will provide a bed for the customer to assist staff to carry out a detailed assessment to ensure that the recommendation for move on into alternative housing is captured correctly to assist move on for the individual into more suitable accommodation which is correct reflective of their needs based on our assessment/recommendation.

The role will be on a shift basis: 7.30am to 3.30pm and 2.00pm to 10pm.The team comprises of: Move on coordinator,Therapist, Housing Officer, 16 Support workers, Team Leaders x 2 and Project Manager.

What you'll do:
- Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs including support needs and daily living skills. This would include potential risks and an assessment of the customers independent living skills as a whole.
- The initial and co-produced assessment will incorporate models of co-production, observation, and person-centred planning. This is with a view that it is solution focused as to provide a framework for progression towards independent living.
- Liaise with partner agencies regarding the assessment process seeking advice and guidance as to specialist input and clinical input as part of multi-disciplinary assessment process.
- Create support/ action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available.

What the job involves

We have an opportunity for a Senior Strategic Communications (Campaigns) Officer to join our Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team. You’ll work closely with the Strategic Communications (Campaigns) Manager to successfully plan and deliver major strategic campaigns and key brand moments, taking the lead on day-to-day project management to keep everything coordinated and running smoothly.

As a Senior Strategic Communications (Campaigns) Officer you’ll take responsibility for developing content for allocated big-ticket campaigns and brand moments, ensuring all content is consistent with our brand and tone of voice. The campaigns you’ll be working on will revolve around our brand, high value fundraising and priority campaigns seeking to drive change. You’ll develop content marketing strategies that will tell stories to reach our key audiences. Our current campaigns focus on reaching more men so they can make informed choices about their prostate cancer risk, while also working to reduce health inequalities and better engage Black men, a community disproportionately affected by prostate cancer.

Collaboration is a big part of this role.  Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you’ll help shape high-impact content marketing strategies and integrate key messages across the organisation. You’ll also support the development of creative content for key partnerships and campaigns, ensuring content aligns with our brand and campaign objectives.

What we want from you

We’re looking for someone who’s experienced in supporting strategy and delivering major campaigns and brand moments that make a real difference and help us connect with new audiences. You’ll have a solid understanding of current communications practices and a keen eye on emerging trends, bringing fresh ideas to the table.

With excellent project management skills, you’ll be comfortable in using collaboration tools like Trello to keep everything on track. You’ll be highly organised, proactive and comfortable juggling multiple priorities.

East End Homes are partnering exclusively with Robertson Bell in their search for a permanent Financial Controller. East End Homes, is a locally based and community-led housing association in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. This year East End Homes is celebrating its 20th anniversary. In 2005 residents of five estates across Tower Hamlets voted for their homes and communities to be transferred to the newly established social landlord.  Today, its 120-strong team manages over 3,900 homes with local offices in each neighbourhood. 

The newly created Financial Controller position offers a rare opportunity for a technically strong, ambitious, and commercially aware finance professional to play a key role in reshaping East End’s finance function and influencing decision-making at a senior level. The Financial Controller will be a member of the Senior Management Team and this role is seen as a natural stepping stone toward Finance Director level within the sector.

The Role:

• Work closely with the Finance Director and Executive Team to support strategic planning and organisational transformation.
• Oversee the development and delivery of Eastend Homes’ long-term financial plans, annual budgets, and business modelling (including BRIXX).
• Deliver and embed a proactive finance business partnering approach across the organisation, influencing decision-making and performance management.
• Drive improvements to financial reporting, insight, and analysis, delivering value across the organisation.
• Coordinate the production of our financial plans and reports including monthly management accounts, the annual statutory accounts, forecasts and the budget.
• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring sound internal controls, process improvement, and compliance with relevant regulations (FRS102, SORP, RSH).
• Manage cash flow forecasting, covenant compliance, and other treasury responsibilities, with support available for professional treasury qualifications if desired.
• Play a leading role in mentoring, developing, and embedding a high-performing, collaborative finance team (c.3–4 staff).

• Actively contribute to the Senior Management Team and support wider change initiatives across the business.

The Organisation:

East End Homes has made significant progress in stabilising its operations and strengthening its governance. With the appointment of a highly experienced new CEO and completion of key commitments to the Regulator of Social Housing, the organisation is now focused on long-term sustainability, performance improvement, and resident impact. The recent appointment of an Interim FD has brought further structure and capability to the finance function, and this Financial Controller hire will be a cornerstone of building a modern, resilient, and insight-led finance team.

Person Specification – Essential:

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA).
• Strong technical knowledge of financial and statutory reporting including FRS102 and Housing SORP.
• Demonstrable experience in social housing finance including business planning, management accounting and regulatory compliance.
• Experience of delivering improvements in management reporting, financial controls, and/or business partnering.
• A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and a track record of engaging with and challenging senior stakeholders.
• Digitally confident with strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial planning tools (e.g., BRIXX).
• Forward-thinking and inquisitive, with a continuous improvement mindset and strong problem-solving ability.
• Experience of coaching or leading teams and ability to develop others.

Main Purpose of Position:

Lead our work in Scotland to end poverty
 
Here at the Big Issue Group we have a rare and exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about fighting poverty in Scotland.
 
The Regional Manager role will oversee the Scotland Frontline team in engaging with more people in poverty, developing local partnerships and providing support to our vendors.
 
Our Frontline Team are part of The Big Issue Community Interest Company (CIC) and was set up to widen the support package we offer to our vendors and people in poverty. This is enabling us to provide not just sales support for our vendors selling the magazine but also outreach services such as wellbeing, financial, mental health and employment support.
 
You will be the strategic lead for the region, taking responsibility for performance against organisational KPI’s, service development, team leadership, development and motivation, vendor engagement and working with the Managing Director to ensure financial performance and that vendors, and others working with the CIC have access to the right support, opportunities and community services to move out of poverty.
 
You will have proven ability to think strategically both in the short and long term, leadership abilities, the ability to build and motivate high performing teams.

About the role 

This role is an integral part of the Scottish Empty Homes Partnership (SEHP) team. The key responsibility will be to manage contracts and relationships across the councils that have received funding for additional Empty Homes Officers (EHOs) to bring empty homes back into use at scale. You will work closely with the existing Partnership Officer role that focuses on providing support to the existing network of EHOs.

Role specifics 

As Partnerships Coordinator, you’ll take the lead in managing new contracts with councils, meeting with key stakeholders to agree terms and supporting the development of detailed project plans with clear milestones. You’ll chair regular advisory group meetings to monitor progress, identify and address any emerging issues, and work collaboratively with councils to find solutions. Promoting the role and impact of Empty Homes Officers will be central to your work, as will providing hands-on support through best practice sessions and tailored training, developed in partnership with the SEHP team.

To succeed, you’ll need strong experience in stakeholder and project management, confidence in delivering CPD and training, and the ability to build productive, trusted relationships. A proactive, solutions-focused approach is essential, as is a solid understanding of Scotland’s housing policy landscape—experience with empty homes work or local authority systems will be a distinct advantage.

About the team 

The Scottish Empty Homes Partnership Team are made up of 10 staff members. Led by our National Manager, we have a Communications, Policy and Projects branch of the team. This role falls within the Projects team.

The Scottish Empty Homes Partnership is funded by the Scottish Government and works to four overarching outcomes to bring privately owned empty homes back into use:

1. Strategy: A strategic approach to bringing empty homes back into use is adopted across the country, enabling better targeting of resources and tracking of progress to bring more empty homes back into use.
2. Capacity: Local authorities, and other organisations with a focus on housing delivery, are able to evidence the benefits of employing dedicated empty homes officers.
3. Skills Empty homes officers undertake continuous professional development, and new officers receive consistent training to ensure they are fully equipped to undertake the role, leading to improved delivery.
4. Advice: More empty homes are delivered back into use through clear, consistent advice and support to empty homeowners and anyone else impacted by empty homes.
