What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll lead our Fundraising Team and line manage our dynamic and engaged fundraisers, supporting them from planning inspiring activities and events to supporting local fundraisers and volunteers all whilst upholding Snowdrop’s values and fundraising best practice.
- This person will take the lead in delivering the next 12 months of Snowdrop’s fundraising strategy, driving forward strategic development, implementing learning and further developing the fundraising team to deliver on its fundraising ambitions in line with the wider organisational strategy.
- The Head of Fundraising role sits within the Senior Leadership team at Snowdrop and is responsible to contribute to the overall leadership, strategic management and continued development of the organisation
- Leading on creating strategies for attracting new corporate donors and partnerships alongside driving forward our well-established corporate volunteering programme
- This person will work alongside and support Snowdrop’s trusts and grants fundraiser and support on large grant applications where necessary
- Line management of the Donor Relations and Communications Manager and Community and Events Fundraising Manager, alongside the supervision of two consultants

As an ISVA within The Angelou Centre you will be part of our front-line team providing emotional and trauma informed support to women and children experiencing gender based domestic abuse. The primary responsibility of all advocates within The Angelou is to provide women and children with continuous one-to-one support, practical advice and advocacy, such as writing referrals for women to access the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC). Much of this work takes the form of casework, and report writing, as well as ensuring that the women receive comprehensive support that addresses their health, social care, housing, immigration and benefit-related needs. All advocates are required to spent at least 30% of your time will be spent on outreach work to engage with communities that may not have heard of The Angelou Centre.
Specific to the ISVA role, is to provide tailored support, advice and advocacy to women who are or have been victims of sexual abuse and exploitation. Alongside this you will support The Angelou Centre in raising awareness of sexual education through outreach activities, ensuring services are accessible to women of the Black and racialised community.
Our ideal candidate is someone who;
- Is confident and pro-active in advocating on behalf of our survivors and able to represent their needs when working with partner agencies
- Is compassionate, non-judgmental and committed to supporting survivors of domestic abuse
- Has excellent written skills with some experience of casework within legal, healthcare or an educational setting.
- Has experience of conducting risk and needs assessments within legal, healthcare or an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities
Advice and Advocacy Support
- Provide tailored, one-to-one continuous support, advice, and advocacy to black and minoritised victims and survivors of sexual violence and exploitation
- Provide weekly drop-in opportunities for black and racially minoritized women in the local area
- Support improved mental wellbeing and resilience, measured using Warwick Edinburgh Mental Well Being Scale and the Chaos Index for those with complex needs.
- To be aware of external service processes to safeguard individuals who are exposed to sexual exploitation.
Outreach Support
- To attend external team meetings and presentations in relevant forums and partnerships
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with key organisations and their staff to support women to gain access to the services they require.
Casework
- Complete regular risk assessment tools for each case supported and risk management plans, including DASH RIC assessments.
- Complete reports, to assist Line Manager in providing detailed reports to funders
- Maintain in depth and up-to-date knowledge of all practice, procedures and policies.
- To deal with complaints, feedback and suggestions and identifying practical solutions to any barriers.
ISVA Specific
- To set up and maintain services to women in custody who are experiencing and/or are at risk of Sexual exploitation.
- To develop specialist knowledge in the area of sex work and sexual exploitation, and how this impacts women from Black and racialized minorities differently, through attendance at relevant training, learning events and conferences
- Raise awareness on sexual education through outreach activities, ensuring services are accessible to those with protected characteristics and/or facing multiple disadvantages.
- Help improve local services understanding of the dynamics of sexual exploitation and the long-term impact.
- Support police when undertaking visits to brothels to assist with safeguarding women who are experiencing Sexual exploitation.
In order to deliver services effectively, a degree of flexibility is required and the post holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above. Such duties however, will fall within the scope of the job at the appropriate grade. Experience & Abilities
- Experience of supporting women who have experienced or are at risk of sexual abuse and violence
- Experience of risk and needs assessment, safety and support planning, particularly with clients with complex/multiple needs

As a Store Manager you will manage the day to day running of our Newark Store, leading a team of colleagues to maximise store sales and profits. Experience working with individuals who have experienced homelessness, rough sleeping, or temporary accommodation is required, particularly those with complex needs such as substance use, mental health issues, and offending histories. The candidate should be familiar with recovery principles and approaches, and committed to empowering service users to make informed choices and work toward independence.
You must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, including supporting the induction of peer staff and volunteers. An awareness of lone working and health and safety practices is important, alongside motivation to uphold professional standards and use management and peer support to maintain resilience. Good IT, literacy, and numeracy skills are essential, including proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and email communication.

As an Outreach Advocate within The Angelou Centre you will be part of our front-line team providing emotional and trauma informed support to women and children experiencing gender based domestic abuse. The primary responsibility of all advocates within The Angelou is to provide women and children with continuous one-to-one support, practical advice and advocacy, such as writing referrals for women to access the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC). Much of this work takes the form of casework, and report writing, as well as ensuring that the women receive comprehensive support that addresses their health, social care, housing, immigration and benefit-related needs.
All advocates are required to spent at least 30% of your time on outreach work to engage with communities outside of The Angelou Centre. However, as our new Outreach Advocate you will spend 3 days with Wearside Women in Need (WWIN) based in Sunderland and 2 days working within our office in Newcastle. This is a new partnership work to ensure that we continue to provide specialist Black and racialised support across the North East. You will work in Sunderland and Newcastle to provide tailored support, advice and advocacy, raising awareness of domestic abuse through outreach activities ensuring our services are accessible to women of the Black and racialised community.
Our ideal candidate is someone who;
- Is confident and pro-active in advocating on behalf of our survivors and able to represent their needs when working with partner agencies

Key Responsibilities
Advice and Advocacy Support
- Provide tailored, one-to-one continuous support, advice, and advocacy to black and minoritised victims and survivors of domestic abuse and exploitation
- Provide weekly drop-in opportunities for black and racially minoritized women in the local area
- Support improved mental wellbeing and resilience, measured using Warwick Edinburgh Mental Well Being Scale and the Chaos Index for those with complex needs.

Outreach Support

Casework
- Complete regular risk assessment tools for each case supported and risk management plans, including DASH RIC assessments.
- Complete reports, to assist Line Manager in providing detailed reports to funders
- Maintain in depth and up-to-date knowledge of all practice, procedures and policies.
- To deal with complaints, feedback and suggestions and identifying practical solutions to any barriers.
Outreach Advocacy Specific
- To develop specialist knowledge in the area of domestic abuse, immigration abuse and gender-based violence, and how this impacts women from Black and racialized minorities differently, through attendance at relevant training, learning events and conferences
- Raise awareness on domestic abuse education through outreach activities, ensuring services are accessible to those with protected characteristics and/or facing multiple disadvantages.
- Help improve local services understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse for women and girls from the Black and racialised communities and the long-term impact.
In order to deliver services effectively, a degree of flexibility is required and the post holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above. About the role

Main duties

Team Leader (Nights) (Mental Health) - Recovery House

Recovery House is a new and innovative service our client are launching that meets an important need for people experiencing poor mental health. The service will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing vital support to people in need of short-term crisis accommodation, of up to 7 nights. The service is a partnership with the NHS, who will have a staff presence at all times, and builds on the range of strong collaborations we have with the public sector.
This post is central to the smooth running of the 24/7 Recovery House. The Recovery House is commissioned by the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Trust and is part of their Urgent Care pathway. Working closely with Operations at our client, the role contributes to effective communication between operational staff and management
About the role
The Team Leader will support the Recovery Support Workers in providing continuous and safe delivery of support at the Recovery House and always ensure high quality and person-centred care. You will ensure that compliance and adherence to CQC standards is upheld by the Recovery Support Workers and provide appropriate information to managers when requested.
You will provide direction, management, and support to the delivery team of 13; which include 4 Waking Night Staff, and a Peer Mentors. Ensuring that safe levels of staffing is always provided and we deliver on the aims of crisis intervention and prevention.
This role requires organisation and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to work under pressure, and skilful in developing strong relationships with a range of people be able to hold on to a vision for the future rooted firmly in values and the principles of recovery.
You will support the work of the NHS clinical team and liaise with them and ensure that the service can be accessed by service users when they need it and that the house is prepared and ready for new residents.
This role will work variable night shift patterns, shared with the other Team Leader.

1. Job Purpose
The Senior Mental Health Support Worker will provide time-limited, one-to-one emotional and practical support to individuals experiencing low to moderate mental health challenges, including those with complex needs. This role involves conducting initial referral needs and risk assessments, developing personalised support plans, and delivering face-to-face, remote, and, in rare cases, home-based support.
The postholder will also take a lead role in supporting and supervising 1-1 Support Buddy volunteers, ensuring they are well-trained, supported, and delivering high-quality interventions. Additionally, the role requires managing complex cases, offering tailored interventions, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure appropriate care pathways are in place.
The successful candidate will be a compassionate and skilled professional with a strong commitment to empowering service users, improving mental health and well-being, and ensuring individuals receive the right support at the right time.
2. Main Duties and Responsibilities
Client Assessment and Support Planning:
- Conduct initial referral needs and risk assessments to determine service user requirements and level of need.
- Develop and implement personalised support plans, setting clear and achievable objectives.
- Monitor progress and carry out regular reviews to assess changes in need and update plans accordingly.
One-to-One Support (Including Complex Cases):
- Deliver time-limited one-to-one support (up to 12 weeks per service user).
- Provide emotional support, listening skills, and practical advice on coping strategies, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- Work with individuals experiencing complex needs, offering tailored interventions and adapting support accordingly.
- Provide crisis intervention and risk management where necessary.
- Support service users to access appropriate community-based interventions and ongoing mental health support.
Volunteer Supervision and Coordination:
- Support, supervise, and coordinate 1-1 Support Buddy volunteers to ensure effective service delivery.

- Conduct regular check-ins with volunteers, addressing challenges and providing necessary support.

Referral and Collaboration:

As its event programme grows in number and variety, Ripon Cathedral is looking for a practical, enthusiastic and organised part-time Event Co-ordinator to work in our events team.
This role will ensure the booking, co-ordination and running of our events is well-planned, smooth and provides great customer service. Commercial events are central to our income-generation and we want to provide an engaging and diverse experience for audiences. We are looking for someone with proven experience of events, a real empathy for the work of the cathedral, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to organise, plan and help events to happen – from supporting marketing to events set up and front of house.
The role is based at Ripon Cathedral and will require regular evening and weekend working.
