About the Role
Acting as the first point of contact for all Fundraising & Comms enquiries and in line with Mind BLMK’s Fundraising and Communications Strategy, this is a busy role and will require excellent stewardship and donor care skills as well as meticulous organisation and innovative thinking. As an Ambassador for Mind BLMK, you will need to have a passion for mental health and an ability to operate at all levels.
Job Purpose
To generate income and support all aspects of communication and marketing, to help to maximize local support, raise awareness of our work in the community, and by providing exceptional supporter stewardship, in line with Mind BLMK’s Fundraising and Communication strategy.

The Role
To undertake all aspects of warehouse duties, ensuring effective, safe and efficient distribution of food each day. You will have responsibility for coordination of our food stock, from goods-in to picking, dispatch and stock rotation and will be expected to drive vans, and Forklift Trucks (training provided).
As the Goods Out Champion you will be responsible for ensuring all food items despatched from the depot have been quality checked, and are to a high standard on a daily basis.
Working closely with the wider team and volunteers, you will also support the monitoring and utilisation of warehouse space, stock, deliveries and collections to ensure food reaches its destination amongst our members safely, on time and in full.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations
- Undertake all warehouse duties, ensuring effective, safe and efficient coordination and distribution and of food
- Work closely with the food safety lead to ensure all food items are quality checked before departure, using our in house 5 point check.
- To work to performance indicators so that stock is accurate, and delivery routes are efficient to allow the organisation to grow
- To ensure that all work areas – both inside and outside the warehouse - are clean, organised and safe to work in
- Follow all H&S and Food Safety standards set out in the FareShare policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all our colleagues & visitors, and the safe receipt of food by all our members.
- Undertake van/Forklift Truck driving duties to ensure effective, efficient timely and safe delivery & collection of food, in line with compliance standards
- Ensuring great customer service in delivery
- Loading and unloading, sorting for, and following deliveries, ensuring safe lifting, and carrying
- Refer van “issues”, in a timely manner to Transport Department to ensure minimum disruption to service delivery
- Undertake all checks and procedures from pre-delivery to post-delivery
- Ensure lock up, parking and storage of vans and equipment following completion of deliveries
2. Volunteer Communication & Co-ordination
- Work closely with the volunteer teams a diverse group ranging from regular and long-term, volunteers, placements (e.g. Job Centre) to business people having just a 1-day volunteering experience – to ensure that all shift duties are covered, and teams work effectively
- Provide leadership and guidance to volunteers, ensuring they follow all policies and procedures, high standards of accuracy are maintained and their volunteer experience with FSM is a satisfying one.

- Ensure compliance with relevant Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and other standards applicable to the building, vehicles, refrigeration equipment, our staff and volunteers. carrying out risk assessments as required

4. Administration
- Ensure that food movements are accurately logged on the electronic stock management system
- Carry out depot administration, including running reports, correspondence with member groups, updating volunteer records
- Ensure that relevant administrative matters are dealt with in a timely way, for instance food safety traces & customer complaints.
5. FareShare Midlands Profile/Representation
- Represent FSM both internally and externally at an operational level through networking, promotional activity and sustaining well established links with Community Food Members, Suppliers and other key stakeholders at local, regional and national level.
- Build excellent relationships with local partners including public services and VCS and volunteer involving groups.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION AND PURPOSE OF THE POST
As part of our ambitious plans to significantly increase private fundraising, we aim to achieve a step-change in our income from partnerships and philanthropy.
As Major Giving Officer, you will:
- Collaborate with the Global Specialist in Major Giving (based in the UK) on the delivery and implementation of an ambitious major-giving programme for HI UK, encompassing trusts & foundations, major donors and corporates, in line with UK and Federation priorities.
- Research and identify opportunities, write proposals and secure five- and six-figure major gifts from a diverse and sustainable base of major givers from the these income streams.
- Provide excellent cultivation of prospects to produce committed, long-term donors.
- Manage existing partnerships and donors to a high standard.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
General
- Work closely with the Global Specialist in Major Giving and the other Major Giving Officer to further develop major giving as a sustainable income stream in the UK, including launching and running a Capital Campaign.
- Manage data relevant to your role, keeping our database (CRM) up to date and accurate, and mining it for new prospects.
- Build your knowledge of the wide range of our work – both thematically and geographically – so you can communicate and present with expertise to donors and prospects.
- Attend relevant networking groups, external events and meetings to make contacts and represent HI UK.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of high-quality cultivation events for prospects and donors.
- Any other activities commensurate with the level of the post, as may be required.
Trusts, foundations and high net-worth individuals
- Update existing research and carry out new research to find our top trust, foundation and high net-worth individual prospects, prioritising six-figure and multi-year donors.
- Connect directly with targeted prospects through networks, introductions and events.
- Build relationships with prospects through personalised communications: face to face, on the phone and written.
- Deliver excellent relationship-management to existing partners and donors to ensure loyalty and year-on-year renewal.
- Produce high-quality and engaging proposals and presentations for meetings with prospects and donors.
- Write and submit approximately two high-quality proposals per month for five- or six-figure sums (multi-year donations preferable) from targeted trusts and foundations.
- Source information about each project’s impact and write and submit regular reports according to the agreement with each partner organisation or individual.
- Ethically screen our prospects, in line with our ethical standards and processes.
- Liaise with the Federal fundraising team in Lyon for project content.
Other duties
- Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with HI UK colleagues, the Federal fundraising and communication teams, and Major Giving counterparts in other HI national associations in Europe and North America.
- Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and high standards.
- Keep up to date and adhere to any changes in legislation, regulatory procedures, innovation, best practice and industry standards in relation to private fundraising.
- Any other activities commensurate with the level of the post, as may be required by the Global Specialist in Major Giving.

PURPOSE
The Communications Lead will develop and optimise each communications channel so that the churches of St Matthew and St Paul connect well with each other and the wider community.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with the Rector and other clergy and staff, the Communications Lead is responsible for the following:
1. Strategy & planning
- With the Rector, prepare and implement an annual communications plan around key events and special services for the parish
- Maintain and develop the parish’s visual branding and style
2. Communications channels
- Oversee the generation of content for each channel, edit content produced by others for accuracy and appropriateness, and produce content, as required
- Website – develop the website to optimise its usefulness [NB a new website design is underway]
- Weekly Email – produce the weekly Mailchimp email
- Social Media – maintain and grow audiences on Facebook and Instagram; schedule content using Meta business suite
- Magazine – create a fun and informative printed magazine in-house three times a year (currently done using Canva)
- Video – record a weekly video message with one of the clergy, for use in the weekly email; produce other videos as and when required
- Youtube – manage the parish’s Youtube channel
- Produce materials and promote services and events across key periods in the church’s calendar (e.g. Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter), through printed and online channels
- Promote the parish’s outreach groups and events (e.g. Coffee Pot, Bumps & Babies, Have a Meal on Us and Community Day), through printed and online channels
- Produce other printed materials as necessary (e.g. leaflets, posters, flyers and roller banners), in keeping with our branding
- Photography – take pictures when required, adhering to the parish’s safeguarding and consent policies; organise church volunteers to capture images when necessary
3. Other responsibilities
- Staff the church office on Tuesdays and Thursdays (e.g. answering calls and questions from volunteers and/or people hiring the hall).
- Liaise, as necessary, with the diocesan and cathedral communications teams
- Complete all necessary training and comply fully with all safeguarding, health & safety and risk management procedures

Community Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator
Charity People are thrilled to be partnering with All People All Places (APAP) in their search for a new Community Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator; this is a newly created role that will lead on building meaningful relationships across the local community to generate new income and increase engagement.

We provide vital services including a day centre, advocacy and casework, and a small year-round night shelter. We work in close partnership with local agencies and are a trusted gateway service for those facing homelessness. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a mission-led organisation tackling homelessness as it presents locally. You'll lead on community fundraising and engagement, working with schools, faith groups, local businesses and individuals to inspire support and deliver impactful campaigns.
The Role
- Salary: £34,000-£38,000 FTE (£20,400-£30,400 actual)
- Part-time: 3 or 4 days per week (0.6-0.8 FTE)
- Location: Hybrid between home, office and within the local communities of Edmonton, Enfield
- Contract: 12-month fixed term with view to permanent extension

This new role will be at the centre of community fundraising; building relationships, coordinating events, and delivering campaigns that raise awareness and income. You'll also lead on the development of APAP's annual fundraising campaign and support the upcoming rebrand and communications strategy.
Key Responsibilities

About You
We're looking for someone with proven experience in community fundraising and engagement, someone who can build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups and communicate with clarity and warmth. You'll be confident managing multiple priorities independently and bring creativity and energy to campaigns and supporter engagement. Experience with Canva or similar design tools is a plus, as is familiarity with fundraising regulations, or a willingness to learn.

The Rapid Intervention team, will be providing vital outreach support to individuals who are currently rough sleeping across Westminster. The team will work with the objective of supporting those rough sleeping to find a suitable and sustainable route away from the street.
Our belief is that rough sleeping is an intrinsically harmful and dangerous activity both for the individual and for the wider community. Therefore, we take a proactive and assertive approach to supporting people away from this activity. Our aim is to support people to recover from the effects of rough sleeping and move away from a street lifestyle permanently.

Working as an Outreach Worker you will work with people to assess their needs and deliver a person centred support, as well as working in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams and agencies across the city to meet client’s individual needs.

It’s not always an easy job, but the opportunity to work with different people every day, helping individuals experiencing homelessness and the local community end the harms of rough sleeping can be highly rewarding.
You will work on a weekly shift rota to ensure we are available to support people experiencing homelessness when they need us the most.

Acting as a thought leader in the sector, sharing insights and innovations in impact measurement and evaluation with external stakeholders, you will work with colleagues to evaluate the effectiveness of storytelling and strategies in shifting public narratives about poverty and inequality.
About you
We are looking for someone who has proven expertise in designing and implementing learning and impact measurement frameworks, particularly in one or more areas of narrative change, movement building, or community organising. You will have experience working with marginalised communities and a commitment to centring their voices and lived experiences in evaluation processes. With strong leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams and stakeholders, you will have an in-depth understanding of systems change approaches and the complexities of measuring long-term, non-linear outcomes.
You will be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences and a passion for social justice and alignment with JRF’s mission and values. With excellent qualitative and quantitative research skills, including participatory evaluation methodologies, you will have a track record of producing high-quality reports, briefings, and presentations that drive learning and decision-making.
