An organisation rich in history, the charity has been at the forefront of supporting older people’s lives for more than 300 years. They have more than 250 older peoples in alms house accommodation in Blackheath and Beckenham and have a small 28-bed care home on their Blackheath site. Morden College are committed to providing services that support their residents to live independent and healthy lives.

The organisation is embarking on a finance process review, in order to improve their ways of working. With plans in place to upgrade their finance and CRM systems the role would suit a change-focussed individual.

Reporting into the Finance Director, the role is a key member of the team with responsibility of three staff, and the involvement in the strategic vision of the finance team. With their main base in Blackheath, the role is hybrid and strives to offer as much flexibility as possible, including a wide-ranging benefits package.

Main responsibilities of the role:

• Ensure the completion of all month end processes and the timely delivery of the monthly management accounts.
• Liaise with key stakeholders to provide a responsive and compliant finance management operation.
• Support the improvement of processes and systems, ensuring robust policies are in place so the organisation can be fully digitised.
• Lead and manage a team of four, quality assuring their work, and guiding their careers and ensuring their continued development and nurturing great team culture.
• Support the Finance Director with the production of the annual financial statements, project managing the team to facilitate a smooth audit delivery across the main organisation as well as subsidiary accounts.

The successful candidate will:

• Be a fully qualified accountant, likely with experience from within the not-for-profit sector.
• Have experience driving change and improving processes and broader cultural change in a finance team.
• Be able to flex up and down from a hands-on perspective to also offer strategic insight to the Finance Director.
• Have significant experience working in a finance function with the knowledge of ‘what good looks like’.

Are you looking for an opportunity where your specialist skills will make a difference in helping to prevent homelessness and rebuild lives?

This is a 1 year fixed terms contract role. 

This exciting pilot is a new approach to preventing rough sleeping, through the provision of accommodation with onsite specialist move-on support to those who are at immediate risk of sleeping rough. The service will provide a route and support for single homeless clients who are presenting to the Local Authority Housing Options or day centres and at imminent risk of rough sleeping, but not yet rough sleeping.

Where their homelessness cannot be prevented by the council and they are at imminent risk of sleeping rough, a referral can be made into the Rough Sleeping Prevention service.

The service will be based across three London locations in Islington, Lambeth and Kensington and Chelsea and staff will be expected to work across all three.

•  (K&C): medium – high support accommodation.

•  (Lambeth): medium support accommodation.

•  (Islington): Assessment hub space for up to 15 clients. Site will operate 24/7.

Each site will have staff delivering casework and support, providing each person with a comprehensive assessment of their needs and circumstances, and intensive specialist support to secure move on.

Onward accommodation offer will be tailored to a person’s individual circumstances, with a move on route identified based on what is suitable and attainable e.g. private rented sector accommodation, supported housing, Clearing House accommodation, reconnections in the UK or abroad and specialist accommodation for certain cohorts such as young people. 

The service will work in partnership with the local authority to secure onward move-on options e.g. access the council PRS scheme, advocating for access to supported housing.

About you

This post requires a motivated and passionate experienced individual to support the managers to lead, support and manage a team across three projects. As Case Coordinator you will be supported by a team of Assessment and Reconnection Workers, night workers and duty workers to: 

• Work closely with the service managers to ensure the effective day to day running of the service.

• Have experience of communicating, liaising and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders to a high level.

• Have experience of client case management and the resilience to achieve and meet agreed outcomes.

• The ability to manage complex behaviours and motivate staff and clients to achieve outcomes with a creative and person-centred approach.

• The ability to coordinate a project or team in a homelessness service and provide reconnection advice.

• Have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with others whilst managing your own time.

The overall aim of Move+ is to enable people who have been homeless to draw upon their shared experiences and support one another to escape homelessness for good. Working closely with the Coproduction Manager as part of the Specialist Services team, you will oversee all aspects of the day-to-day delivery of Move+. About the role:

The post holder will work within The Passage’s Community Services as a Complex Case Outreach Worker and will lead on case management for people experiencing homelessness who are presenting in the footprints in which the team operate and/or who are accessing the Resource Centre. The post-holder will support individuals with substance use support needs and/or mental health issues and will lead on work with clients who are experiencing alcohol and/or drug dependencies and who may also be experiencing mental health problems or other health or social care needs.

Main duties:

• To manage a caseload of clients presenting within the footprints in which the Engagement & Outreach service operate and individuals who are accessing The Passage Resource Centre. To support clients with complex needs, supporting them to identify and work towards recovery and away from homelessness.
• Carry out assessments, case management, support planning and the delivery of interventions for clients including those experiencing mental health and/or substance misuse issues who are multiply-disadvantaged in their homelessness.
• Provide assertive outreach and engagement with street-based service users presenting with complex needs and barriers to engagement. Carry out monthly street-based audits to inform reporting and analysis of service outcomes.
• Support clients who are rough sleeping or involved in day time activity in the footprints in which the team operate to end their homelessness by linking them in with appropriate internal and external support services relevant to their needs. To provide support to clients who are accommodated, but may require ongoing support in order to maintain this accommodation, linking them in to appropriate local services.

General responsibilities:

• In conjunction with your line manager to continuously develop the role to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of The Passage.
• To participate in internal/external meetings as required, attend training events, conferences and other functions as necessary.
• To participate in regular supervision and annual appraisal, and help in identifying your own job-related development and training needs.
• To ensure that all The Passage policies and procedures are being adhered to, particularly those relating to Code of Practice and Confidentiality.

The Role

This role will support the Financial Controller to deliver a high-quality payments and cash management service. The role of the Cash and Payments Manager is to oversee the Operational Finance team (3 people) and be responsible for managing, monitoring, and reporting on all cash transactions. You will manage cash management systems and processes, recommending and implementing any improvements to current processes and controls.

You will review and approve bi-weekly supplier/expenses payment runs ensuring that there is sufficient cash available and review, sample check and provide second stage approval for payment run files on the banking systems to ensure accurate payments.

The postholder will have strong leadership skills, a positive attitude and will take pride in getting a job done to the highest standards.  You will have the personal motivation to work in a fast-paced environment and be responsive to changing demands.

This role will provide strategic oversight and direction for Lepra’s institutional fundraising function to deliver on the restricted and unrestricted income targets. Line managing and leading the Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser in the delivery of the trust fundraising target, and working with the programmes teams in the UK, India and Bangladesh to identify and develop applications to statutory sources and major trusts, leading on the development of detailed project proposals.

The salary for this position is £28,723 (FTE £35,904) – Manager Level, part time (28 hours – 4 days per week). IBIS House MH Step Down & Crisis

Working in partnership with the London Borough of Newham and East London Foundation Trust, IBIS House supports people who are medically fit for discharge from mental health inpatient stays but have other barriers to discharge. These may include housing, living skills, accessing benefits or the community, or other interventions and will be on a person-centred basis. The main aim of the service is to provide short-term support to customers to link with longer-term services to reduce escalations in need, and reduce inpatient readmission and reduce pressure on inpatient beds.

Shifts will be on a rota pattern and include morning shifts (08:00-16:00) and afternoon shifts (14:00-22:00).

Includes evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

What you'll do:

Work proactively with the team to handle the service caseload and support an effective team approach to meeting each customer's identified needs in a recovery-focussed way
Assessing referrals received by the service, within the 4-hour target, and providing a rapid response to these - supporting the team to identify and promote positive risk management.
Contribute to a positive service environment, ensuring the service is supportive and a place of safety and stability for customers. This includes working flexibly and being proactively in delivering, reviewing and arranging effective support for emerging needs and risks in order to prevent escalating concerns
Inducting new customers, and helping orient them to the community and local area
Completing/supporting housing referrals as required, supporting customers with budgeting tools and providing support to customers in accessing any benefits or addressing any issues such as benefits.
Building a relationship with the local borough and any key agencies. For example: no recourse to public funds teams, homelessness teams, community mental health teams etc.
Support planning, including ward management liaison, medication profiles and medication reviews as required, identifying the goals and steps to support customers to manage their own support and risk and ensuring these are correctly documented within Look Ahead's paperwork.

Working in partnership with the London Borough of Newham and East London Foundation Trust, IBIS House supports people who are medically fit for discharge from mental health inpatient stays but have other barriers to discharge. These may include housing, living skills, accessing benefits or the community, or other interventions and will be on a person-centred basis. The main aim of the service is to provide short-term support to customers to link with longer-term services to reduce escalations in need, and reduce inpatient readmission and reduce pressure on inpatient beds.

What you'll do:

* Assessing referrals received by the service, within the 4-hour target, and providing rapid response to these.
* Inducting new customers, and helping orient them to the community and local area
* Completing/supporting housing referrals as required, supporting customers with budgeting tools and providing support to customers in accessing any benefits or addressing any issues such as benefits.
* Building a relationship with the local borough and any key agencies. For example: no recourse to public funds teams, homelessness teams, community mental health teams etc.
* Support planning, including ward management liaison, medication profiles and medication reviews as required, identifying the goals and steps to support customers to manage their own support and risk and ensuring these are correctly documented within Look Ahead's paperwork.

Significant experience in a similar role with the ability to evidence previous success of improving website engagement, conversion and increased traffic 
Experience of developing, producing, testing and optimising website content as well as providing editorial & technical guidance/training to colleagues

Develop website content and journeys to support high impact, brand-led, integrated campaigns and appeals that increase donations, volunteer recruitment and other objectives agreed by the organisation.
Work with our brand manager to develop brand guidelines, house style, photography and tone of voice guide for the website and ensure consistency across the site (and by content editors).
Be a key member of the website knowledge board to identify, prioritise and plan website improvements, projects and campaigns in line with the organisation’s strategic goals.   
Develop and deliver a website content strategy, based on a thorough review of current performance and user experience.

About the role:

The SHP Somerset Cluster is based in the heart of the London’s theatre and shopping districts – the main hub is just off Drury Lane, with the other sites near Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road. The aim of the service is to support people over the age of 18 to navigate various support needs and develop the skills required to maintain independent accommodation long term.   

As a multiple disadvantage (MD) referral and move on coordinator, you will work as part of a larger support team to ensure that consideration is given to the individual experiences of multiple disadvantage when it comes to accessing and moving on from our service.   

You will work with people from their first interaction with the service: at the point of referral, ensuring that all aspects of someone’s experience is considered by undertaking a trauma informed, culturally sensitive assessment and supporting your colleagues to develop their awareness of these experiences. 

From here you will then support their journey through the service by working alongside other support staff to foster a culture of move on, supporting the development of holistic and realistic move on goals.   

This work will be underpinned and supported through the development of a move on programme. This programme, developed and overseen by the MD Referral and Move on Coordinators in partnership with the Recovery and Opportunity Coordinators, will be not only look to develop confidence and ability to navigate social systems, but also be accredited through SHP’s AQA Registered Learning Centre.   

In addition, you will carry your own caseload for people living in the step-down services to ensure that they are prepared, equipped, and confident about moving on. This may include identifying current barriers within the system that can prevent someone from moving on successfully or within their set timeframe. 

About you:

• Experience of coordinating projects across multiple teams or people with varying roles to achieve successful outcomes for vulnerable people
• Knowledge and awareness of the intersection of needs in people facing multiple disadvantage & strong understanding of how the intersection & co-occurrence of these issues can make it difficult for people to engage with support or to move on from services.
• The ability to judge the appropriate response to situations that you find challenging or emotionally difficult
• The ability to work as part of a team to ensure that everyone is clear in their roles and provide peer support and guidance when needed, working through any arising conflict professionally and successfully
