This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Repairs and Maintenance Advisor who understands customer needs and has a positive customer output and able to work in our small, but supportive, Housing & Neighbourhoods Team working on all aspects of Repairs. It is an interesting and varied role for an engaging, solution-focused person, with a passion for providing an excellent customer outcome across ISHA’s portfolio and help keep our residents safe in their homes, and someone who wants to add value within an organisation.

You will work closely with the Repairs Manager to support with continuous improvement across all service areas, while helping to support and achieve our organisational objectives.

We are looking for an exceptional Centre Manager to help us ensure that everyone who works in and visits our Centre is well looked after and has a fantastic experience.
The role is based at our beautiful Grade 2 listed building in Southwark. We will consider either a full-time application for a period of maternity cover, or a part-time job share of the role, with the potential to extend beyond the initial period of maternity cover. Our Centre houses an amazing collection of 25,000 children’s books as well as being a training and event centre for teachers, publishers and everyone else who works with children’s literature and cares about children’s literacy.

Reporting to our Director of Finance and Operations (DFO), our Centre Manager will:

- Be a welcoming and generous host for visitors to our Charity and for event hires at the Centre

- Ensure our staff have the tools available to do their best work by overseeing the outsourced IT support company and maintaining our IT systems and assets.
The person we are looking for will have:

- the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a wide range of people within and outside of the organisation

These are innovative roles to develop social prescribing in the local NHS. Based in one of the six Primary Care Networks (PCN) you will work in different GP practices across that Network to deliver their specific priorities. You will join a team of ten Social Prescribing Link Workers working in Haringey PCNs and be part of a wider community-based Borough team which offers information, signposting and short-term support across the eight localities in Haringey.
Social prescribing empowers people to take control of their health and wellbeing through referral to non-medical Social Prescribing Link Workers, who give time, focus on ‘what matters to me’ and take a holistic approach, connecting people to community groups and statutory services for practical and emotional support.
Social prescribing can help to strengthen community resilience and personal resilience and reduces health inequalities by addressing the wider determinants of health, such as debt, poor housing and physical inactivity, by increasing people’s active involvement with their local communities. It particularly works for people with long-term conditions (including support for mental health), for people who are lonely or isolated, or have complex social needs which affect their wellbeing.
At the centre of the social prescribing process is the Social Prescribing Link Worker, working with GP Practices in a Primary Care Network, who connects patients who are referred to a range of activities and services in the local area depending on their needs, interests and capacity for engagement. This is a complex role as the SPLW will need to have good interpersonal skills to engage with the patient and have a comprehensive knowledge of the services and activities available in the local area.

Role Overview:
Due to high number of non-UK nationals sleeping rough in London, there has been a need for a supported reconnection and resettlement service for Romanian nationals, with a focus on working with Roma people. On this basis, the Acasa Service was created to fill this gap. It is a voluntary reconnection service that assists people to reconnect to Romania, where clients have support finding employment, accommodation and accessing welfare services.
We are searching for a suitable Romanian speaking candidate to fill the role of Deputy Manager in our London office. The appointed candidate will join our team of professionals on a full-time (37.5 hours a week), 6 month fixed term contract with possibility of extension.
As the appointed personnel, you will work with Westminster Rough Sleeping services to identify clients who wish to return and are suitable to be referred into the service. You will also assess referrals to ensure prospective clients meet Acasa eligibility criteria, then help them to prepare to reconnect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that Acasa delivers excellent performance and a high quality service with measurable positive impact
- Work with Depaul colleagues to continuously develop the service, including drafting reports and presentations on the service
- Create relationships with and work closely with local authority partners, as well as build relationships with colleagues in central and regional government, as well as organisations in Romania
- Respond promptly to referrals, undertake in-depth assessments to assess suitability for the service and to inform support planning.
- Enable clients to access support from a range of statutory and non-statutory agencies while they are in the UK
- Compile and present monitoring reports for funders

HR & Operations

● Run payroll (including sending payslips and other pay documents, scheduling salary payments and reporting to HMRC) and ensure pensions, PAYE taxes and National Insurance are calculated and paid on time.
● Create and submit quarterly VAT returns using Quickbooks
Stakeholder Management & Fundraising
● Work alongside the JCEOs to maintain high level contact and dialogue with Coney’s key stakeholders.
● Manage Coney’s Friends scheme and support effective communication with funders.
● Alongside the rest of the core team, identify opportunities for fundraising, commercial projects and consultancy, building relationships and contributing to funding proposals as required.
Marketing & Communications
● Support the Marketing & Admin Officer and Executive Programme Director / JCEO to prepare and execute a marketing and communications plan – strategically positioning Coney’s work across communities and sectors.
● Support the Marketing & Admin Officer to ensure regular communication with Coney networks (newsletters, social media and other relationships) and produce effective communication and ticketing systems for events and projects as required.

About the role
Your role as a Senior Service Designer will involve designing end-to-end journeys of a service or product as well as the processes and steps to make that journey work. As an experienced designer with the ability to influence and mentor others, you will work with the team to complete their goals and to help Shelter deliver our strategy.
The role involves working not only with the team, but across the organisation to listen to the needs of technical and business stakeholders and communicating effectively with diverse senior stakeholders. You will also mentor, support and develop your line reports to improve design and research practices and processes.
Using Human-Centric design principles, leading on service design projects and influencing strategic decisions – are just some of the aspects of this role that will see you thrive.
About the team
As a Senior Service designer, you will be working in the Digital design team, alongside with front and back-end developers, UX designers, Content Designers and User Researchers. You will be working as part of a team to build user-centric, high quality and impactful products and services that tackle the high priority needs of our users.

About you
You’ll need to be an experienced designer with the ability to consolidate complex and conflicting information into easily understandable and actionable design outputs. You’ll have experience in managing a team, mentoring and engaging in feedback to help Shelter achieve its wider goals. You can take complex tasks and prioritise them effectively and have experience in inclusive research and design practice. You’ll also be able to prototype and generate ideas as a collaborative activity and use agile methodologies to be flexible in your approach and delivery.

About the role: We are seeking to recruit a Counselling Services Coordinator to provide administrative support to our Counselling Services Manager and assist in the smooth running of our counselling programme. You will liaise with our trainee counsellors and allocate clients to the counsellors based on suitability. You will manage our counselling waiting lists and ensure clients are kept informed. Ideally you will have or be working towards a counselling qualification and/or have experience of providing trauma-informed support.

Job Title: Support Worker
Highway House is a charity that has been providing all year round shelter and support services to the homeless for the past 15 years. Our work with the homeless has evolved an adapted from 2009 to date to offer the support most needed at any given time. Highway House received the Faith Recognition Award for providing specialist services by Her Majesty’s Lieutenant at the Royal College of Medicine in November 2017. We have received the best shelter of the year award 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 by the London Prestige Awards.
Summary of role
This post is responsible for ensuring that guests who attend Highway House are in the first instance made welcome. The primary role will be to engage those guests that attend the day centre and guests that are resident in the shelter’s accommodation in developing a pathway of support for them and help them move to the maximum independence they are capable of. Providing baseline and continuing monitoring of their progress will be required, as will working closely with the project manager.
· Be responsible for receiving guests 2 days a week (7 hours each day) at the day centre
· Initial recording of guests details in database system
· Work with guests to identify their needs
· Research and engage appropriate support for guests
· Develop links with health and welfare agencies to benefit guests
· Support the physical and mental wellbeing of guests
· Visit guests placed in the shelter’s accommodation 1 day a week (4 hours) to do support work with guests.
· Supervise and inspect state of property and run room checks on weekly visit to the shelter’s accommodation.
- Ensure effective collection of monitoring information, consultation and feedback
- Report regularly to the project manager as and when required board of trustees upon the progress of the project against stated outcomes
- Agree with Manager any actions regarding outcomes
- Ensure all safeguarding issues are dealt with effectively as detailed within our policy
· Work with, support, and build the understanding of volunteers
· Training volunteers in support work
· Agree and maintain work plans with Project Manager
· Work with project Manager to engage partners and develop new opportunities
· Contribute to review of activities so they are based upon need
· Identify and contribute to all legal requirements being met
· Ensure the information is processed in database system to provide monitoring and evaluation reports
· Any other duties deemed necessary
