NHS Providers’ Development programmes team delivered a range of training and development activities for NHS boards and foundation trust governors. The team delivers over 200 events annually. We are looking for an additional Programme Administrator to take responsibility for the efficient event and logistics administration of this work to deliver high quality training and support for our members. This activity is delivered virtually, in-person or hybrid.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Community Fundraiser to join our Community Fundraising Team. 

Reporting to the Community Fundraising and Events Manager, you will support the team in generating vital income through professional community stewardship in a role where no two days are the same! 

You will support the local community, our supporters and volunteers, nurturing relationships and working with key partners and stakeholders to maximise income generation opportunities, attending community organised events. I am currently seeking an experienced HR Advisor for a renowned healthcare charity based in North London on an initial 12 month fixed term salaried contract. the role will pay in the range of £35,652 to £40,545 per year and although the role will based in the North London offices, there is flexibility in regard to working remotely for the majority of the time.

Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, you will be one of two HR Advisors in a team of 9 and you will be responsible for providing an efficient, friendly and high quality HR Advisory service to customers across the organisation. You will: -

• provide first line advice, guidance and support with casework, including

• undertake general HR administration, payroll input each month and provide cover

You’ll harness various digital tools and applications like Articulate, Vyond, and Padlet to craft captivating content. The preferred candidate will have high-level knowledge of learning management systems and the digital tools used in online learning. The Foundation is currently in a period of organisational change, with a number of projects constituting change for our colleagues. • Be the point of contact to assist and support members of the Operations Team in relation to member escalations and queries.
• Work closely with the Operations Manager to manage and plan current and future workload to ensure the team meets deadlines, provides an exceptional service and reaches service level agreements (SLAs).
• Develop comprehensive and presentable reports to support data-led decision making, renewals tracking, KPI targets or to provide insights.

What you’ll do:

• In collaboration with the business lead, manage the development and delivery of technology projects, ensuring that it meets RCR’s required standards and supporting successful implementation.
• Ensure plans, risks and finances associated with project delivery are tracked as required and made visible for governance and portfolio management purposes. 
• Use feedback and research to recommend improvements to RCR’s IT project management processes, implementing agreed changes.
• Support the Head of IT in the day-to-day management of invoices and of the IT budget, ensuring that spend is accounted for and managed according to RCR’s guidelines.
• Manage, administer and schedule regular board meetings.  Follow up actions agreed in the board meeting, in partnership with the Head of IT.

The BNSSG VCSE Alliance exists to enable diverse VCSE organisations to engage and participate in system-wide changes to health and care services. We are seeking a VCSE Brokerage Manager to lead the development of a Brokerage Framework, which will provide a clear, fair, inclusive and proportionate way for health and social care system partners to reach VCSE organisations.

About Us

The Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) VCSE Alliance launched in January 2024. It aims to influence and facilitate greater collaboration between the regional health system (BNSSG Integrated Care System) and the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector (VCSE). It seeks to do this by enhancing the role of the VCSE sector in the delivery and transformation of wellbeing and health, and cementing our sector’s role as a key strategic partner in the planning, design and delivery of health and care, in its widest possible definition.  

The co-design of a new ‘VCSE Brokerage Framework’ with colleagues from the Integrated Care Board (ICB) and System (ICS) is a key priority for the VCSE Alliance in 2024-25. The aim of the Brokerage Framework is to provide a clear, fair, inclusive and proportionate way for health and social care system partners to reach a diverse range of VCSE organisations. The intention is for it to be a new process by which grants and opportunities can be distributed to the sector. 

This is a really exciting time to join the Alliance and deliver a new innovative process which has the potential to be transformative for Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

The Role

The VCSE Brokerage Manager’s role is to lead on the further development, piloting, and preparation for launch of the Brokerage Framework. The role will work closely with colleagues across the VCSE Alliance and the health and social care system. Ensuring that diverse VCSE organisations, from micro to large scale and that serve communities of interest, of place and of practice are included and enabled in the brokerage framework will be crucial to the success of this role.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reports to: Head of Support and Care (Registered Manager)
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, usually Monday - Friday 9 - 5pm

NB Service Coordinators are required to balance management administration with being present in the group's houses. This necessitates some occasional evening and weekend work to be agreed with their line manager.

Salary: £35,000 per annum (with an increment in the second year) 
Place of work: L’Arche London community houses and office (all within a walking distance, based in West Norwood, London)

Main purpose of the role:

- To lead and manage the Oak Group, one of three groups in the L'Arche London community, comprising of a range of services for people with learning disabilities and its team of assistants. 
- To lead the service delivery within this group in line with L'Arche values, standards and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission [CQC]. 
- To play an active role in the leadership of L'Arche London, helping shape a vibrant community of people with and without learning disabilities.

Leadership and People Management:

- Supervise and work with the Deputy Service Coordinator to lead a team of 15 Support Assistants. Ensure each assistant in the group is regularly supervised, trained, and appraised, and that action is taken to effectively manage performance issues.
- Understand the requirements of the CQC and other relevant legislation and ensure that all applicable standards are met including adult safeguarding. 
- As part of the Community Coordinating Team, implement appropriate policies and procedures, promoting the wider L'Arche mission, vision and values.
- Be on the On-Call rota every 6 - 8 weeks, with flexibility as service requires. (Additional pay provided.) 
- Contribute to the recruitment/ interviewing of Assistants.

Provision of Support to People with Learning Disabilities

- Ensure the provision of high quality personalised support for each person with a learning disability in the Oak group, implementing Person Centred Support Plans to maximise independence, personal choice, and autonomy.
- Enable each person with learning disabilities to feel at home, encouraging both individuality and belonging, ensuring that everyone is informed of their rights and responsibilities as a member of the Community group and as a tenant.
- Support each person to manage various aspects of their life, from their personal budgets to their health and well-being.
- On occasion, provide one-to-one support to people with learning disabilities at home or in the community.

Administration and Management

- Maintain high standards of communication and record keeping, ensuring an effective flow of information within the Group, with the rest of L'Arche London, the local community, family and professionals.
- Work closely with the Deputy Service Coordinator to oversee the work rota.

Creating Community

- Attend and organise Community events and celebrations relevant to the role and foster a sense of welcome for all visitors and friends; ensure a regular rhythm of prayer and reflection in accordance with the traditions of L’Arche.

General

- Attend training and personal development courses as required.
- Any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post which may be required from time to time.

What We Offer

- This post is offered subject to a probationary period of 6 months; 3 clear references; a completed work history form; a satisfactory and up-to-date enhanced DBS check; and a satisfactory right to work check as appointees must have the right to work in the UK.
- There is no additional pay for overtime, but Time off in lieu (TOIL) will be given and agreed with the line manager when circumstances require the post-holder to work extra hours. TOIL should be taken within 2 weeks of being accrued.
- All Service Coordinators are the on-call rota for 1 week every 6 - 8 weeks. There is an additional payment of £56 a week for being on-call.
- Paid holiday allowance of 33 days leave per year. (This total is inclusive of 8 days in lieu of bank holidays).
- Service Coordinators will be provided with a programme of personal development and training including opportunities to study for QCF qualifications in social care and leadership development through L'Arche in the UK's leadership development programme.
