Working alongside the HR Admin and Payroll team, to be responsible for the effective day to day running of Bank Support Worker payroll processes, effective utilisation of the Bank Support Workers, and use of Bank Support Worker portal to aid in the transfer to a new Bank and Agency system.

What you'll do:

To ensure the transfer of Bank Staff information to new Bank and Agency system.
To ensure we have accurate and up to date recording of bank staff on Bank IT system and HR system (iTrent)
To ensure ongoing compliance (DBS, Right to Work and training renewals) are kept up to date
To understand general availability of our BSW's to help managers find suitable bank staff for shifts.
To communicate key messages to our Bank Staff as needed.
To work with HR Business Partners and relevant managers if bank staff need suspending/removing from the bank system.
Work with Managers to review BSW hours in line with Working Time Directive and Overtime Policy to ensure excessive hours not worked
To complete BSW monthly payroll check and calculate salary top ups.
To work with BSW and payroll team to resolve payroll queries
To complete general administration of BSW references and confirmation of employment letters.
Any other duties as reasonably required within the role.
This role requires a basic DBS

Key responsibilities – Note the following list is not exhaustive and percentages are indicative only.

Oversight of accounting and cash management

Most of the detailed work in this section is undertaken by the direct reports with the oversight and management being provided by this Finance Manager role

· Appropriate recording, processing, coding, posting of all financial transactions – including but not limited to bank receipts and payments, accounts payable, accounts receivable, conference fee income, invoicing, journal entries.

· Regular timely bank reconciliations.

· Invoicing and credit control

· Chart of accounts structure and department codes

· Gift Aid claims

· VAT returns

· Foreign Speaker returns to HMRC

· Regular reconciliation of balance sheet accounts

 Role Particulars - 

Working Pattern: Full time working hours, including weekly in-person team meetings in London: monthly all-staff meetings on Tuesdays twice a month, and weekly on Tuesdays twice a month.  The nature of this role means that some travel and working away from home will be required, as agreed in advance.  Specifically, the Finance Manager must be available for the annual leadership conference and some or all of the New Wine annual summer festival (on-site or remote support).

• Developing a comprehensive financial strategy that supports the delivery of the charity’s objectives and activities

• Provide leadership and guidance to all things finance related, providing mentoring and support to the team

Skills & experience:

• You have interest and belief in our mission, to improve kids’ health through improving food and food education in schools

• You have full or partial qualification through an accredited accountancy body

• You have some experience in a senior finance role (eg Director, Head of, Management Accountant) in any sector, and some experience within a finance function in the 3rd sector (in particular familiarity with the Charity SORP and experience of administering restricted funds)

• You have experience of audit

• You enjoy a mix of leadership and rolling up sleeves to get hands on when the need arises

Since 1923, we have supported the welfare of working animals, including donkeys, horses, camels and elephants, in communities that depend on working animals for water, transport, agriculture and their very survival. We are looking for a Global Resources Coordinator to ensure operations within our global resources team run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities include providing general administrative support to different teams within Global Resources, manage supply of office resources and equipment, arrange travel, managing relationships with key suppliers, coordinating schedules and meetings and supporting HR administrative duties.

Key responsibilities

We are seeking a Payroll & Finance Administrator to assist the Executive Director: Finance and Resources with completing administration and payroll tasks to ensure a smooth running Finance Team.

You will administer aspects of donations and income, post donations received into our CRM system liaising with the Director of Fundraising, conduct Gift Aid claims, generate reports and utilise the CDS system to ensure all data is correctly entered and support given to all administrators.

You will administer the payroll and receipt system. Additionally, you will reconcile all costs, generate invoices and check that timesheets, holidays and absence are recorded correctly. This role requires you to work Monday to Friday but you must be willing to be flexible as and when required.

You must have a minimum of five A*-C GCSE passes, including Mathematics and English (or equivalent). Additionally, good IT skills, especially in Excel and administrative, recording and reporting skills are essential for this role.
