We’re looking for a detail-orientated People and Culture Administrator to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of our People and Culture function. This new but vital role is responsible for managing day‑to‑day administrative activities, maintaining accurate and compliant employee records and delivering high‑quality support to employees and
managers.

The role is primarily based at the charity office at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, with the requirement to also work from the charity office at Birmingham Women’s Hospital alongside some remote and out of hours working.

As the first point of contact for all People (HR)‑related queries a strong, up‑to‑date
understanding of employment law is essential to provide clear guidance and ensure a positive employee experience.

Key responsibilities include:
• Providing comprehensive administrative support to the People and Culture Manager
across all stages of the employee life-cycle, acting as the first point of contact for
HR‑related queries and ensuring employee records are accurate, up-to-date and
compliant with data protection requirements.
• Maintaining HR systems, ensuring data accuracy and contributing to ongoing system
improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience.
• Supporting the People and Culture Manager by managing employee payroll queries
and updating the payroll system with salary changes, increments, annual leave, work
patterns and other relevant information.
• Providing guidance to staff on self‑service functions, ensuring the HR system is fully
utilised across the charity and all employee data remains accurate and up-to-date.
• Ensuring all payroll instructions are prepared and logged in time for the monthly payroll
by gathering and verifying relevant employee information.
• Coordinating the full onboarding process for new starters, including preparing contracts
and offer letters, completing all pre‑employment checks and ensuring a smooth and
welcoming introduction to the organisation.
• Coordinating inductions for new starters in partnership with managers, ensuring a
positive and engaging onboarding experience including all required training and learning
areas.
• Leading the coordination of training sessions, working closely with the People and
Culture Manager to ensure effective planning and delivery.
• Managing all administrative aspects of the recruitment process, including preparing
recruitment documents, organising recruitment timelines, drafting and posting job
adverts, logging applications and supporting the smooth delivery of recruitment
campaigns.

Orbis UK is delighted to offer the role of HR and Governance Manager, a new position for the charity, as the organisation seeks to grow and build on past successes to reach its target of achieving £10m income in the next 5 years.

This role is critical to supporting a highly performing group of staff and trustees as we seek to transform lives through the prevention and treatment of blindness. This role will sit within the Business Support Team, which is responsible for the day to day running of the organisation and will be crucial in creating a revised HR strategy and ensuring that the organisation’s compliance with key statutory and regulatory requirements are maintained at all times. Responsibilities 

Financial & Grant Coordination

• Support Epic’s bi-annual grantmaking process, including but not limited to drafting and distributing grant agreements and archiving documentation.

We are looking for an Operations Manager who is prayerful, strategic and passionate about practically supporting the mission of the local church. The Operations Manager plays a key role as a senior member of the Inspire St James team. The purpose of this role is to enable the Church to fulfil its vision for mission, ministry and worship through strategic oversight and management of all aspects of the Church’s operations e.g. staff, finance, premises, and governance.

Inspire Saint James Clerkenwell is a Church of England church with two services (11am and 4pm) and a congregation of around 230 adults and 100 children. The congregation is vibrant and diverse and passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus. 

The Operations Manager has overall responsibility for the Operations Team and will work closely with all members of the team. They will also be part of the wider staff team in which we pray for one another and support one another to achieve our purpose and lead our ministries. 

Key responsibilities involve leading the operations team, overseeing large scale events and building projects, overseeing HR and handling the week-to-week finances. 

Location: The role will be primarily office-based, with a focus on being present to manage and support others.

Hours: The post is full time 40 hours per week, excluding lunch breaks. Some evening and weekend work may be required.

This is a key role at the heart of the Cathedral supporting clergy, musicians, volunteers and families, and helping ensure the smooth delivery of services, choral music, occasional offices, concerts and communications.

​Reporting to the Canon Precentor, you will be a central point of contact for liturgical and music-related enquiries and will work closely with colleagues across the Cathedral’s administration team.You will need excellent organisational skills, strong communication and a calm, flexible approach to a busy and varied environment.

Some of the Key Responsibilities of the role:​

• Providing comprehensive administrative support to the Canon Precentor
• Managing liturgy rotas and preparing orders of service
• Coordinating practical arrangements for routine services
• Preparing live-streaming arrangements, QR codes, and managing the live-streaming rota
• Acting as the first point of contact for baptisms, weddings, funerals and school carol services
• Organise and provide administrative support for choir concerts, tours and external engagements
• Occasionally act as a chaperone for bus journeys.
