Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering 

• Partner with managers to strengthen leadership capability, support effective decision-making and develop confident people management practices.
• Provide expert, balanced and pragmatic advice on employee relations matters including absence, performance, conduct, grievances, capability and organisational change.
• Advise managers on organisational and contractual change, helping them assess people implications, identify appropriate approaches and navigate consultation and change processes fairly and effectively.

A little bit about you

Experience and Knowledge

•  Previous experience operating in a People Partner, Senior HR Adviser role (or similar)
•  Experience of independently advising managers across a broad range of employee relations matters, including complex cases.
•  Experience partnering with managers across recruitment, workforce planning and/or talent management (desirable)
•  Experience of working within a mission-led, or charity context (desirable)
•  Demonstrable experience of using a coaching style with the ability to influence, challenge and build management capability

About the Role

This is a broad operational role responsible for ensuring the organisation runs efficiently on a day-to-day basis. You'll oversee facilities, suppliers, contracts, IT coordination, health & safety and HR administration, while supporting the continued improvement of systems and processes across the Society.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing office facilities, maintenance and suppliers
• Acting as the key contact for outsourced IT providers
• Managing contracts, procurement and service performance

The role translates the Business Plan into action, leads staff, freelancers and consultants, and develops an inclusive, high-performing culture. Key responsibilities include workforce planning, recruitment, HR compliance, performance management and staff wellbeing. The role oversees organisational systems, administration, IT and the operation of Talent House, including health and safety, compliance, venue hire and stakeholder relationships. They co-lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow monitoring and audit processes, while driving fundraising and income generation across grants, trusts, partnerships, sponsorship and earned income.
