Are you an experienced HR professional ready to step into a People Partnering role with an amazing cultural organisation?

We’re currently recruiting for an Associate People Partner to join a busy People & Culture team in London on an initial 3–6 month contract, with an immediate start.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong employee relations experience who enjoys working closely with managers, solving people challenges and getting involved in wider HR projects.

What you'll be doing

You'll work alongside People Business Partners and managers across the organisation, providing practical, commercially aware HR support and helping to deliver key people priorities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing moderately complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and capability matters.

  • Advising and coaching managers on HR policies, processes and best practice.

  • Building trusted relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.

  • Supporting People Business Partners with local people plans and workforce priorities.

  • Identifying people trends, risks and opportunities through HR data and casework.

  • Supporting organisational change, restructures and other People projects.

  • Working collaboratively with the wider People & Culture team.

  • Providing guidance on employment law, employee relations and people policies.

  • Supporting recruitment, talent and development initiatives.

  • Knowing when to take ownership and when to escalate more complex or high-risk matters.

What we're looking for

We're keen to hear from HR professionals who can demonstrate:

✅ Strong experience managing employee relations casework
✅ Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law
✅ Experience advising and coaching managers
✅ Good understanding of HR policies and their practical application
✅ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
✅ A proactive, solutions-focused approach
✅ Confidence handling sensitive and sometimes challenging situations
✅ The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience is highly desirable.

Experience within the museum, cultural or public sector, organisational change or working with trade unions would be advantageous.
