We are looking for a Financial Analyst to play a key role in the finance and broader management team of our ancient and innovative Christian charity, which has a chapel and a pattern of prayer at its heart.

This is a new role established to support our Finance Director and provide analysis of results and performance to support the Commercial Director, managers and trustees in their decision-making processes.

The ideal candidate will be proactive and a great communicator. They will have excellent interpersonal skills and be particularly good at communicating often technical information to non-specialists. They will work well with others including colleagues, clients and suppliers.

Experienced and dedicated, they will support the management of this venerable and much-loved institution and be flexible to assist the small finance team, especially in busy periods.

As the Royal Foundation of St Katharine is a Christian retreat centre that is open to all regardless of faith, and as the post holder would be a member of the management team, it would be essential for this person to support the Christian ethos of the charity. It would be desirable if they felt able to support the rhythm of prayer in our chapel, though this is not a requirement.

Essential skills and experience

• Experience in the hospitality sector with a strong preference to hotels.
• University degree or equivalent.
• Either hold or be studying for a recognised accounting and finance qualification. Study support will be available for the right candidate.

The role 

As Insight and Analysis Lead, you will:

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather data requirements, understand their needs, and communicate data-driven insights effectively.
• Utilize SQL and other tools to extract, transform, and analyse complex datasets, identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
• Create interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports using PowerBI, Tableau, or similar tools to present data insights to various stakeholders.
• Generate regular and ad-hoc reports that provide actionable insights to support decision-making at all levels of the organisation.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability by implementing data quality checks and validation processes.
• Translate data findings into actionable recommendations, helping shape the charity's strategy and initiatives to better serve individuals with disabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data insights into program planning and execution.

About you

You will:

• Be a competent, efficient user of Microsoft Dynamics 365 technology – especially for managing and manipulating data.
• Have experience of reporting suites such as Power BI and a knowledge and expertise using SQL and Azure.
• You will be able to show proficiency in using R and/or Python for data exploration and analysis, showcasing your ability to work with diverse datasets and apply statistical techniques.
• Shown experience in building and leading an insights team and function which will produce reporting to inform decision-making
• Knowledge of relationship database functionality and data architecture as well as strong Data Protection Act/GDPR/PECR.
• Have strong marketing data/segmentation selection experience

About the position 

This is an exciting opportunity to create change at scale, informing and promoting a practical transition to plant-based diets, in order to reduce the number of animals suffering in factory farms. Part of our Farmed Animal Campaigns team, the role will work to increase the quality and availability of plant-based options with major caterers and universities in the UK, impacting hundreds of thousands of meals daily. 

This role also includes an opportunity to support the delivery of a campaign to end the use of farrowing crates, one of the worst forms of cruelty to farmed animals in the UK today. In this role you will support the Senior Manager for Farmed Animal Campaigns to create public-facing campaign assets, and develop compelling research to underpin our policy and industry engagement.

• Work with consultants to develop and deliver our Forward Food culinary training programme to food service professionals, to support their understanding of plant-based food and marketing, and their role in the just protein transition.  

• Identify and support opportunities to encourage people to eat fewer animal products, including working with media and celebrity ambassadors. 

• Conduct environmental impact assessments on menus and food procurement to effectively monitor and report on progress towards meat-reduction goals 

• Deliver compelling and informed advocacy to UK political stakeholders to encourage the adoption of policies that catalyse a just protein transition and better farmed animal welfare. 

• Support development and delivery of HSI UK’s farmed animal campaigns strategies  

• Research and present on industry-related trends and developments in the plant-based food market and alternatives to cage confinement.

As the Partnerships Officer, you will support the Partnerships Team on business development, managing a portfolio of small trusts, foundations, and donors, as well as researching new opportunities.

Salary

Hours

Average 40 hours a week on a five-week rota. Normal working pattern will be working across early and late shifts & working two weekends. Pension

Within this role you will be required to provide exemplary support to the women we serve, supporting them in their journey to recovery.  This role plays an integral part in developing life and employability skills and providing opportunities for involvement and ultimately job procurement. You will gain varied experience developing a revitalised service, one which serves and works with our women.

This role works with all departments of the Marylebone Project, and will develop exciting new relationships with external partners, and creating work and training related opportunities for women. The post sits within our Centre Team.

Hours

40 hours per week. You will be placed on a shift-based Rota which includes early shifts, Late shifts and weekend shifts. In general the hours of working will be from 8am-4.30pm.

You will provide Advice, Guidance and information (IAG) to vulnerable adults and holistic support to address their needs within a psychologically informed environment and will provide specialist VAWG support.

Part of your role will also include Coordinating and facilitating our Drop-in Service for rough sleepers, providing them with a range of services including food provision; laundry; showers; clothing and nurses clinics.

As a Resettlement Worker you will be supporting homeless women to gain the skills needed in order to live independently; our clients are expected to be with us for no more than 2 years and the main route into independent living will be PRS (Private Rented Sector). You will be carrying out a variety of workshops to support the clients to gain the skills needed and use our internal and external partners to help our clients get back into work or education. You will also be supporting the women to understand financial responsibilities, paying rent, bills, council tax and applying for benefits.

You will need to be someone who can work with other people unconditionally, who has an understanding of the challenges of homelessness and can work without judgement. You will need to be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills and able to work well with others. You will be part of a fantastic team, being one of five Resettlement Workers holding a caseload of women, with the focus on resettlement and preparing for independence.

Main Purpose of the Role

The Media, Production and Sound Technician is a key role within the Creative and Worship teams, with responsibility for the provision of sound, visual and technical support for St Stephen’s Worship, Communications and Media production ministry.

Key objectives

· To enable the church’s worship through excellent sound, visual, staging and production of all services and special events (including online).

· To continuously recruit, train, oversee and support volunteer teams for sound, lighting and VPS.

· To have a vision for enabling worship which flows from your own living faith in Jesus.

· To help inspire a culture of creative worship and prayer at St Stephen’s.

· To oversee the maintenance of worship equipment (inc. organ and piano tuning), liaising with external contractors as needed.

· Encourage, equip and develop worship beyond Sundays (special services, events, Seasons)
