Lead Music Therapist

Coram Parenting and Creative Therapy Service

Contract: Permanent, 28-35 hours days per week, 4-5 days per week

Location: Coram campus, London

Coram Parenting and Creative Therapy Service offers art, music and drama therapy, therapeutic parenting, clinical psychology and family therapy to children and families at our dedicated creative therapies centre and in schools.  We work primarily with adoptive and connected carer families, and children who have low level mental health difficulties.  We are a trauma-informed service and have specialist expertise in neuro-diversity and children with special education needs. The well-established team has a strong track record in therapeutic interventions, including music therapy, art therapy and narrative therapy based multi-family groups for younger children who are adopted or with a Special Guardianship Order.  We have a purpose built therapy building and have recently built a music studio for our adolescent work.  We work within very diverse communities and we consciously challenge ourselves and our practice, seeking at all times to be inclusive and anti-racist. About the role

We are seeking an experienced HCPC qualified Music Therapist to provide leadership, supervision and management of music therapists and other creative therapists in the service.  You will carry out therapeutic multi-disciplinary assessments and music therapy interventions with adopted and Special Guardianship Order families.  This work involves trauma informed approaches, family work and life story work.  The team is led by a Clinical Psychologist and provides creative, relational, and evidence based approaches, collaborating with wider networks and reaching schools and communities to inform child centred and trauma informed practice. The post holder will receive supervision by a highly qualified Music therapist, and be line managed by a Clinical Psychologist.   The post offers a unique opportunity to work alongside skilled creative and family therapists. We seek to empower children and families using strengths based narratives, as well as accepting vulnerability and seeking opportunity for connection, strengthening resilience and support. 

The successful candidate will be experienced at working with managing and supervising therapists, developmental trauma, and child and family work and operates with initiative and responsiveness in a dynamic professional environment.   A background in CAMHS and/or a social care services would be desirable, with a good understanding of safeguarding planning and managing highly emotive situations. Experience of running multi-family groups would be an advantage. This role requires a supportive professional, a team player, who enjoys working in a diverse, respectful and challenging team.

About the role

The London Library is planning a major, multi-year building project and is looking for a Senior Facilities Officer - Project Management to work within the Buildings and Facilities Management team to help support and deliver the project.

As part of a small, hands-on team, this new role will also support the Library’s maintenance and improvement programmes, arranging contractor works and providing liaison with colleagues across the Library. The post reports to the Buildings & Facilities Manager. Some weekend and out of hours working will be required.

About you

You will hold an appropriate formal qualification within a relevant discipline, with previous experience of facilities project management, preferably in the charity, cultural or not-for-profit sector. The Role

About the role

As People Business Partner you will provide expertise on employee relations, cultural transformation, employee engagement and relationship building. The role will be varied managing both day to day issues and longer term transformational work.

You will work closely with the leadership team within the Skylight, our union colleagues and the wider People team and Learning/OD team. Functions and responsibilities

Organisation level

· Prepare annual, quarterly and monthly budgets and projections at the organisational and programme level along with management accounts and cash flow reports.

· Analyse forward cash and fundraising projections and needs.

· Brief and work with Executive Director on financial, HR and administrative matters including financial needs, staffing, projections, scenarios and planning, and risk monitoring.

· Prepare and present financial reports to Board of Trustees meetings.

· Ensure the Charity meets its statutory obligations to HMRC and Charity Commission and other relevant bodies as necessary, as well as insurance obligations.

· Support Programme Directors with financial monitoring and planning for time allocation needs across staff and consultants, project delivery capacity, billing, fundraising, and expenditure - over monthly, quarterly and annual timelines.

· Oversee financial management of grants and other types of contract from governments from multiple regions, international organisations and charitable foundations.

· Schedule, prepare, submit and track financial reports to funders and invoices to funders, including submitting invoices on government finance systems.

· Prepare for and host project-level audits.

The Community Fundraising team at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for securing income from individuals, regional businesses and groups fundraising in the community, effectively managing relationships to maximise income.

The Regional Fundraising Officer role will play a significant part in contributing to a high-performing fundraising team. The role will cover the Kent and Sussex region.

You will report to the Community Fundraising Manager and support the Head of Regional Fundraising to drive the continued growth of the charity’s community fundraising income in your area. You will also be required to show excellent relationship-building skills to support community partnerships and volunteer groups, driving towards agreed targets.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract, or on return of the substantive post holder, to cover a period of maternity leave.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Strategy, finance, and reporting

· Responsibility for 3 income streams within the Kent and Sussex region including corporate, community groups and Do It Yourself (DIY) fundraising.

· Identify and apply for ‘Charity of the Year’ partnerships with corporates in the region, account manage these relationships up to a value of £50,000 per annum and support the Partnership Development Team with partnerships in your region with a value of up to £100,000.

· Run volunteer events with both a recruitment and cultivation function, liaising closely with the Stewardship and Events team to ensure a seamless supporter journey, and with the Press team to include media volunteers.

· Manage the recruitment process of new ARUK volunteers in the geographical area, providing relevant support and training.

· Liaise with local community organisations (e.g., golf clubs, educational institutions etc.) – both previous and new potential supporters – to extend income and activity in line with the strategy.

The Role

As Project Lead for United Learning, you have the opportunity to make a difference on a large scale.

In this role you will have two key responsibilities – to ensure the successful delivery of our group wide stakeholder surveys (to pupils, staff and parents) and to support with organisation-wide performance management. • Design and deliver service design workshops, customer journey mapping, prototyping, and testing; bringing Service Design expertise to Agile teams/squads and making sure that solutions are designed with users at the centre.
• Mentor, train, and develop the People Team and wider Central Service teams and colleagues in Service Design and Design Thinking methodology, tools, and practices.
• Work with Organisation of the Future team to define, implement, and embed an Organisation of the Future Service Design approach including establishing Service Design Communities of Practice.

To be successful, you'll bring:

• Service design expertise in designing customer-centric end to end solutions.
• Experience in mentoring and developing other people's capability and confidence in design thinking customer/human centred service design.
• Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary project team, with the ability to engage people meaningfully in customer-centric service design and drive forward the delivery of a user centred design solution.
• Experience of working in Agile teams and participating in/facilitating discovery, design, and development sprints
• Effective at communicating design ideas using a variety of techniques, including service models, story boards, user journeys and service blueprints and the ability to create service design documentation, communication, and prototypes utilising online tools (e.g. Mural).
• Excellent facilitation skills and experience - able to elicit desired outcomes from end users through workshop facilitation and user research and able to facilitate engaging and impactful meetings and learning sessions.
• Self-awareness and excellent relationship building abilities.
• Willingness to constantly learn, including from feedback and to flex approach as needed to deliver impact with others.
• Good written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with multiple audiences, in multiple formats and on multiple platforms.
• An agile mindset: able to adapt, learn and collaborate to achieve impact.
• A deep understanding and awareness of diversity, inclusion and belonging/ EDI and a proven ability to bring that awareness and understanding to life in your work.

Ways of Working:

The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, but there are likely to be times when you will be required to come to your contracted office (up to 2-4 days per month or 6-8 days per quarter).  This will be agreed with your Line Manager and team and is intended to be time spent on collaborating with colleagues and relationship building. 

Please note: travel costs to your contracted office will be at your own expense.
