Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced operations professional to manage the Trust for Developing Communities’ (TDC) central services, ensuring high levels of operational effectiveness.

Operations Manager

£30,000 - £35,000 per annum, pro rata

Part time, 21 – 28 hours per week (to be agreed)

Since Trust for Developing Communities’ (TDC) inception in the year 2000, our primary focus has been community development work directly with neighbourhoods experiencing deprivation in Brighton and Hove. We have gone on to develop a broad range of grassroots services supporting young people, Black and Minority Ethnic communities and older people. Our Vision is for Brighton and Hove to become a city of equality, diversity and inclusion where our communities thrive.

As Operations Manager, you will oversee the organisation’s Human Resources function, ensuring our policies and procedures are legally compliant and aligned with our community development values, as well as managing the use of HR software, Advisory Support and recruitment processes. An experienced project manager, you will provide tools to support TDC in delivering work on time and within budgets and targets, by developing our planning and project management systems.

You will play a key role in the procurement, implementation and management of a new customer relationship management system whilst ensuring TDC’s office space maintains healthy, practical and cost-effective working environments for all staff and volunteers.

An effective communicator, you will be confident leading staff and communicating with a broad range of stakeholders, including supporting Trustees in their governance function by overseeing the organisation’s risk management framework and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
