About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and strong Administrator, preferably with HR recruitment and administrative experience; to support our newly formed people-oriented team. About The Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager / HR Operations Manager to join our team on a fixed term basis from October 2025 to cover a period of maternity leave of 8 months which will include time with the current post holder for induction. It's an exciting time to join our team as we work through departmental change and transformation.

This role will lead the provision of a high quality, efficient and cost-effective HR Service for WWT (both in the UK and overseas) for employed staff and casual workers through a fantastic team of administrators and working with HR Business Partners.

I am working exclusively with a respected not-for-profit organisation who are currently in the market for a very proactive and experienced HR Administrator to join their HR team, working on a 6-month fixed-term contract with the view of potentially extending (via a fair and open process). You will be responsible for providing effective and efficient administrative support to the HR team.

You will act as a first point of contact for HR related administrative queries and support the team with a wide variety of HR tasks. This will include recruitment support and candidate liaison, administration support for the learning and development programme, new starter onboarding, HR inbox management as well as arranging meetings, and providing light diary and administration support for the HR Director.

Key Duties

Administration and support

• As a member of the HR team, you will ensure that all administration activities which support the work of the HR team are managed in a proactive and efficient way.
• Support the daily proactive management of the HR inbox, ensuring that appropriate action is taken to respond and forward relevant emails to the HR team with follow-up actions if needed.
• Provide administrative support to the HR Director, which could include room booking, arranging meetings and other ad-hoc requests.

• Input data into the HR information system and other agreed systems such as address changes, holiday requests etc.

• Support the delivery of HR or L&D projects or events, including room bookings and catering administration

Recruitment Administration

• Support employment and recruitment administration, including liaison with employment agencies, candidates and hiring managers

• Conduct new starter HR inductions and support exit arrangements
• Ensure that the relevant HR activity checklists are up-to-date and stored correctly for each activity

Systems

• Support the team in the move towards two new HR platforms this year, and any additional administration around these projects.
• Maintain the HRIS system and Applicant Tracking System where appropriate
• Provide administration support for logging, reviewing and editing data requests within the HR Information system as well as new starter and leaver IT requests.

We are the largest sexual violence support provider in Wales, with 30 years’ experience of delivering specialist therapeutic support to adults and children affected by the trauma of rape, sexual assault or sexual abuse.

As a charitable organisation, we offer a full range of free specialist crisis, advocacy, wellbeing and counselling services. We are widely regarded throughout the UK as a leading organisation in our field. We support nearly 4,000 people each year.

Beyond that, we use our experience and expertise to train and educate others on the wide-ranging impact of rape and sexual abuse, and use our voice to advocate for those who are often silenced by stigma.

PURPOSE OF THE POST

To provide support to the Head of Corporate Services in developing, monitoring and maintaining systems to facilitate the smooth running of the organisation and to support the fulfilment of the Charity’s aims and objectives.  

GENERAL

• The post holder will embody New Pathways’ ethos and values and will model appropriate behaviours at all times and in all areas of responsibility.
• Commit to a continuous improvement culture and be prepared to undertake other duties and responsibilities relevant to the nature, level and extent of the post.
• Ensure CPD by attending relevant training and workshops as required.

MAIN TASKS AND DUTIES:

• Completing HR administration and support.

• Support in the process of achieving and maintaining external Quality Standards.

• Contribute to the organisation of external and internal events.

• Maintaining staff training records and directing staff to compulsory training courses.

• Developing and maintaining processes and system for effective recruitment.

• Maintaining systems including Disclosure Services, Ihasco, BusinessSafe etc.

• To undertake relevant training as required.

• Undertaking any other reasonable task not outlined in this job description but which will assist the aims and objectives of New Pathways.

The role:
Working closely with our Senior People Advisor and People Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering day-to-day HR support across the full employee lifecycle. This is a full-time role, mainly based on-site at Shakespeare’s Globe with the flexibility to work remotely two days a week.

You'll be a go-to person for both employees and managers, offering friendly, coaching-style support on everything from day-to-day queries to more complex employee relations matters. You’ll also take the lead (or lend a hand) with ER cases, make sure our employee records are accurate and up-to-date, and help deliver internal training.

Beyond the day-to-day, you’ll have the chance to get involved in wider initiatives around wellbeing, inclusion, and organisational development, helping us create a great place to work.

The skills:
The ideal candidate will have some experience working in the human resources function in any capacity with an eye for detail, and organisation. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with others, with good written and verbal communication skills. About the Role

We are looking for a Senior People & Compliance Advisor to join our team on an 18-month fixed-term contract. This role is vital to ensure our charity continues to provide a professional and legally compliant environment for our staff and volunteers. You will lead on employee relations, support line managers, and maintain compliance across our policies and processes – including GDPR, safeguarding, H&S and employment law.

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the senior leadership team, you’ll be a trusted advisor across the charity. You will also provide direct support to staff, volunteers, and trustees.

Contract Type

Fixed-term, 18 months.

Location

Hybrid – 60-80% in the office (Halifax), with 20-40% from home. 100% office-based is also available, depending on the needs of the role and the candidate.

About You

You will be CIPD-qualified (Level 5 or working towards it) and have broad generalist HR experience. You will be approachable, well-organised, and confident in handling employee relations and ensuring compliance in a people-focused organisation.

You will share our values of compassion, professionalism, and integrity, and bring a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
