To work closely with the Bishop and the Archdeacon in encouraging and enhancing the mission of the Church for the furthering of Christ’s gospel across the Edmonton Area and bringing close the Kingdom of God, the diocesan Mission Framework,  the Edmonton Area Plan and to work closely with the Area Team and other Deans of Mission.

They will be expected to work with the Archdeacon in supporting parishes in Vacancy and work with the bishop in the recruitment process. 

Job responsibilities 

STRATEGY  

• To work closely alongside the Bishop and Archdeacon in developing, delivering and reviewing a measurable and impactful Edmonton Area Plan within the 2030 Vision for London. 
• To actively encourage and enable the projects and plans for mission across the Area working closely with the Bishop, Archdeacon and the Area Deans for each of the four Deaneries and other Area and Diocesan staff. 
• To develop a strategy in the Area in line with the overarching diocesan Mission Framework, which relates to the other four Area strategies and which leads directly towards plans for growth
• Some of these mission plans will relate to work on funding applications and others which relate to the increased provision and maintenance of services by personal interventions and strategic support.  
• Lead on the stakeholder engagement and change management planning for the larger sized mission programmes within the Area 
• To work with the Diocese of London 2030 Vision program office to gather appropriate metrics in order to provide a framework for good strategic decision making.
• To support parishes as they develop their mission and vision, adding value such as in facilitating vision and planning events, linking with partners and external bodies. 
• To build capacity for mission across the Episcopal Area with different church traditions and practices  

TEAM  

• To enjoy playing a full part in the Area Staff Team, sharing in decision making and development of the program of culture change. 
• To work strategically with particular parishes and clergy from time to time as they identify opportunities for making a difference within their local communities.
• To join the Diocese team of Deans of Mission at their monthly meetings and in ongoing collaboration and cross-border working. 

MAINTENANCE OF SERVICES

• To work with the Area Deans in the delivery of particular mission plans and initiatives in their Deaneries that relate to and will result in services of worship taking place in these churches.
• To encourage churches in their community engagement and social action initiatives, including partnership working across the Area and on specific local projects, sharing best practice so that new and existing services of worship will develop and be maintained to address their needs. 
• To provide support for clergy in the delivery of project work in relation to buildings so they will draw new people into worship services. This will include working through the purposes for which the buildings were established and their interpretation of that in the maintenance of services today. 

RESOURCING  

• To work alongside churches in vacancy to remain focused on mission and to plan for appropriate future leadership, supporting the Bishop and Archdeacon in running vacancy and appointments processes. 
• To help parishes access the support available from the Diocese of London’s Ambition and Priority teams, noting in particular support for new incumbents
• Ambition teams: Confident Disciples, Compassionate Communities, Creative Growth (CCX) – and how they link with maintaining church services. 
• Priority teams: Growing Younger, Safer Churches, Racial Justice 
• To provide advice and support to enable successful church revitalisation including work with current and potential Resource Churches in discerning how their strengths and gifts can be best used in support of planting and other parish support and that new services will be established to serve those currently less well reached. 
• To develop prayer initiatives and resources to support mission in the Area. 
• To ensure the necessary provision of training for missional engagement and useful sources for theological reflection on mission.  

GENERAL

The Service Officer will work collaboratively with staff and volunteers to deliver Food Bank services, Activity Camps, and Afterschool club, advice and advocacy support, clothing assistance, cooking programs, and Social Supermarket Operations, as well as support initiatives for the elderly, individuals experiencing poverty and isolation, and families with children.

The post holder must be an enthusiastic and motivated person to coordinate and manage our Food Banks, Community Café, and Social Supermarket, including the supervision of its volunteers/staff, as well as planning, organising, and implementing supermarket collection.

About the role:

Respect is seeking two Helplines Team Leaders. You will be the main point of contact for the team of Advisors and provide line management support along with other focused meetings that guide their work with service users.

You will manage concerns raised by Advisors and make decisions on safety actions, and deal with complaints. You will oversee the implementation of a rota system that maximises resource capacity at peak call times to meet high demands. Work collaboratively with partner agencies that deliver programmes of support for both male victims and perpetrators, and set up signposting and referral processes that supports our work.

About the Youth Endowment Fund

We’re here to prevent children from becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to change things.

In recent years, violent crime involving children has increased. This is a tragedy. Every child is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.

The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment that exists to prevent children from becoming involved in violence. We will achieve this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice. A big part of the movement that we need to build is in the world of health. We need to inspire and connect with health leaders across Integrated Care Services (ICBs), Local Health Boards (LHBs), Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and other relevant parts of the system. We need to spread what works and make our country safer for some of our most vulnerable children. We are looking for someone to lead on making this happen.

Key Responsibilities

We are making progress building the evidence of what works within and around health services to reduce violence. But the big risk is that nothing changes. That’s where you come in. Your role is to identify the best way to make change happen within relevant health services. Your main responsibilities will be ensuring that:

We have great relationships with the people who can make change happen.

This will include:

• Developing great relationships with senior policy makers, sector leaders and experts, including representing YEF in external meetings and speaking at events.
• Build a Strategic Advisory Board of leading experts across the health sector and keep members onside and excited about our work.

We deliver the health system recommendations. 

This will include:

• Provide strong and effective support to residents in Acorn House that focuses on their strengths and goals, and is delivered in a personalised way and within a framework of active engagement and co-production

Special Conditions

• This post requires the holder to work varying shifts between 08.00 am and 8.00 pm and participation in the call rota system (for which an additional allowance is paid)

• The post-holder is required to work weekends as part of a rota and Bank Holidays when required

• On occasions you may be requested to change your rota to ensure the requirements of the service are covered

• In accordance with the guidelines on Health and Safety, to accept responsibility for working within these guidelines and reporting any concerns to the Supported Housing Manager

Strategic and Operational Leadership 

• Set a positive leadership culture aligned with SCT’s ethos, values and mission. 

• Lead the development and implementation of annual operating plans across services, in line with SCT’s strategic goals and budgets. 

• Work closely with Senior Leadership colleagues to identify new service opportunities and drive continuous improvement and innovation. 

• Work closely with SCT’s Fundraising, Communications and Marketing team to develop compelling funding applications, and reports to funders.  

• Represent SCT at stakeholder events, ensuring a clear and compelling case for the impact of our work. 

• Champion and enhance SCT’s reputation by building strong relationships with partners, funders, statutory bodies and the wider community, fostering collaboration, trust and strategic influence. 

Service Development 

• Oversee and support the development of SCT’s front-line services including Addictions Counselling, Supported Housing, Housing First, and Training & Development (incorporating ‘Progressions’ and ‘Choices’). 

• Maintain high service quality, measurable outcomes, and trauma-informed, recovery-focused practice. 

• Develop referral pathways into services, and ensure that client progression is planned, consistent, and reflective of individual needs and ambitions. 

• Lead best practice approaches in Safeguarding and Health and Safety, prioritising client and staff wellbeing. 
• Take the lead in shaping and developing co-production across all services, ensuring that people with lived experience are meaningfully involved in the design, delivery, and evaluation of support.

Housing and Recovery Support 

• Ensure accommodation-based services provide secure, therapeutic environments that support clients to maintain their tenancy and build recovery capital. 

• Oversee SCT’s peer-led recovery community (‘Choices’) and user involvement in our social enterprises, creating training and work experience pathways for people in recovery. 

Staff Leadership and Management 

• Provide strategic leadership for a multi-disciplinary service delivery team. 

• Oversee recruitment, supervision, appraisal and development of staff, ensuring they are fully supported, briefed, and empowered. 

• Promote a culture of inclusion, collaboration and high performance. 

• Set clear expectations, targets, and accountability frameworks to deliver impact. 

Person Specification 

Essential Skills and Experience 

• Proven success in managing and developing high-performing, multidisciplinary teams in complex, person-centred services. 

• Significant experience delivering homelessness, housing, addiction recovery or therapeutic services. 

• Expertise in delivering services that work with people with lived experience of social exclusion. 

• Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management and trauma-informed practice. 

• Skilled in managing budgets, contracts and KPIs within charitable or commissioned services. 

• Skilled in using In-Form or similar CRM system.

• Highly effective communicator with excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills. 

Desirable 

• Experience working in a values-led organisation or charity supporting marginalised groups. 

• Knowledge of Housing First and Recovery Capital models. 

• Understanding of social enterprise and peer-led service models. 

To provide strategic and operational leadership to multidisciplinary service delivery teams, ensuring high-quality, innovative, and outcome-focused support for people in recovery or experiencing homelessness. The role is central to enhancing service standards, fostering a culture of inclusivity and compassion, and embedding lived experience in practice. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Services will help shape SCT’s strategy and build sustainable partnerships to maximise impact and long-term success.

Myeloma UK is looking for a driven and pro-active Events Fundraiser to join our growing Community and Events team.  You’ll be joining the team as we continue to refine and expand our mass participation events portfolio including London Paris Ride, Great North Run and 100 miles for myeloma. You will have experience in event delivery or project planning, delivering these activities within tight deadlines while successfully building effective relationships.

The role holder will have strong administration skills, attention to detail and work as part of a team.  You will be self-motivated and able to work remotely with little supervision, managing a wide range of tasks and having an interest in sporting and mass participation fundraising events.

Previous experience or knowledge of digital marketing, virtual fundraising events and using Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM system would be an advantage but not essential. 

About the role

As the Events Fundraiser you will be required to research, promote and deliver fundraising events, campaigns and activities, providing excellent stewardship to supporters, whilst working to help achieve monthly fundraising income targets.  You will work to deliver an annual calendar of runs, walks, challenge and sporting events across the UK as well increasing support through Myeloma UK virtual and Facebook events.

The role holder will work with the Senior Event Development Fundraiser to provide the highest quality of event delivery as well as developing relationships, securing support, marketing, delivering and monitoring the event ensuring post event evaluation and future recommendations are made.  They will also work closely with Community Fundraisers, supporting them as they identify opportunities to expand and diversify their fundraising portfolio.

You will work with other teams, develop materials required to support all marketing and promotion of events, ensuring organisational brand, style and key messages are adopted and ensure maximum use of database and other technology to increase operational efficiency within event fundraising.
