We are looking for an additional Programme Administrator to take responsibility for the efficient event and logistics administration of this work to deliver high quality training and support for our members. This activity is delivered virtually, in-person or hybrid.

The primary focus will be on leading our research and evaluation to demonstrate and maximise our impact for young people, funders and wider sector stakeholders, along with driving our journey towards becoming a gold-standard learning organisation.

Role purpose
The purpose of this role is to lead, develop and deliver WorldSkills UK’s external Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I) programmes supported by stakeholder engagement strategies across our network of industry, education and government. The role will ensure that we engage external stakeholders to help deliver our ambition to be a leader, partner and ally in creating positive change for ED&I in the skills sector.
Key tasks and responsibilities
1. Deliver positive action activity for change:
- Support the development and delivery of WorldSkills UK’s external ED&I strategy. Ensure it is fit for purpose, has recognised long term goals and will deliver measurable change, reflecting organisational priorities around increased engagement with ethnic minority groups and females. Provide an overarching framework and help further develop strategic KPIs for our ED&I work, ensuring effective use of data, monitoring progress and performance.
- Work with the Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager to develop action plans that will drive our continuous improvement:
- Support our skills competition development programmes to increase the diversity of young people engaged
- Support the development of role models to showcase the impact of our work and encourage diversity in key areas of industry, including future priority skill areas
- Support the development of learning resources that aid engagement with underrepresented groups
- Support teams to ensure ED&I matters are considered and addressed as key components of all strategies, plans and programmes.
2. Manage the ED&I Advisory Group:
- This is a unique opportunity to work with experienced and prominent senior individuals from across education and industry who are invested in driving the agenda for ED&I.
- Lead the administration and ongoing development of our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Advisory Group.
- Engage the Group to help support, advise and challenge WorldSkills UK on its actions to remove obstacles and barriers faced by young people from under-represented backgrounds in our programmes.
- Report regularly to the Group on progress against KPI’s and facilitate reports for the WorldSkills UK Board.
3. Project Manage the ED&I Heroes Awards
- The Awards is an established flagship event which provides a platform for WorldSkills UK to celebrate success with its partners, amplify best practice and inspire others to drive change across the skills systems in education and business.
- Project manage delivery of the annual Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Heroes Awards, supported by relevant internal teams
- Establish the nominations process
- Co-ordinate the judging panel
- Organise the awards ceremony
- Manage the support of the awards partners.
4. Manage strategic relationships
- Manage a portfolio of ED&I focused Strategic Partnerships with organisations from across the skills sector, facilitating their support and engagement with our EDI programmes.
- Grow our network of partners to widen our reach, help further drive work in this area and collectively impact on the sector.
- Advise and support the development of the CEO’s international activities on ED&I with WorldSkills International (WSI).
5. Raise the profile of WorldSkills UK’s ED&I work:
- Work with teams across the organisation to support our Mission to ignite a national and global movement to help more young people, regardless of their background, get the best possible start in work and life.
- Support the Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager and Marketing and Communications Team to showcase the impact of our programmes:
- Help to externally profile and articulate the value and impact of our activities using the channels and tools available
- Seek opportunities to advocate for our work through stakeholder engagement and networking
- Support the Corporate Partnerships team to identify and secure commercial income related to our ED&I initiatives.
- Work across the organisation to build on existing external relationships and develop new strategic partnerships that reinforce our position as a skills sector leader.
6. Internal ED&I Liaison:
- Whilst not responsible for WorldSkills UK’s internal ED&I activities and agenda it is anticipated that the post holder will spend up to 10% of their time supporting and working with the Corporate Affairs team on internal ED&I matters, with the remaining 90% spent on external work.
- It is not essential that the postholder has extensive experience in this area.
7. General

The BNSSG VCSE Alliance exists to enable diverse VCSE organisations to engage and participate in system-wide changes to health and care services. We are seeking a VCSE Brokerage Manager to lead the development of a Brokerage Framework, which will provide a clear, fair, inclusive and proportionate way for health and social care system partners to reach VCSE organisations.
About Us
The Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) VCSE Alliance launched in January 2024. It aims to influence and facilitate greater collaboration between the regional health system (BNSSG Integrated Care System) and the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector (VCSE). It seeks to do this by enhancing the role of the VCSE sector in the delivery and transformation of wellbeing and health, and cementing our sector’s role as a key strategic partner in the planning, design and delivery of health and care, in its widest possible definition.
The co-design of a new ‘VCSE Brokerage Framework’ with colleagues from the Integrated Care Board (ICB) and System (ICS) is a key priority for the VCSE Alliance in 2024-25. The aim of the Brokerage Framework is to provide a clear, fair, inclusive and proportionate way for health and social care system partners to reach a diverse range of VCSE organisations. The intention is for it to be a new process by which grants and opportunities can be distributed to the sector.

The Role
The VCSE Brokerage Manager’s role is to lead on the further development, piloting, and preparation for launch of the Brokerage Framework. We are looking for an International Programme Manager to oversee Students’ Union UCL’s cultural celebrations programme, including expanding and developing our annual flagship International Festival. They will lead on the development and delivery of new projects including a series of international volunteering opportunities and the launch of the Union’s UK Visits programme, enabling UCL’s student community to develop skills that will complement their studies and make cross-cultural friendships. The International Programme Manager will also work with the Head of Intercultural Engagement to create new and develop existing relationships with overseas partners, creating opportunities for students to gain life changing experiences through co-curricular activities. The post holder will be central to driving forward an exciting programme of activity that fosters personal growth, connection, and community through extraordinary intercultural experiences.

We have an exciting opportunity to join Centre 404’s Learning and Leisure team as the manager of our Day Opportunities service. This service supports adults with a wide range of needs to be active members of the community, increase their independence, develop their life skills and set themselves goals and achievements to work towards.
The post holder will be responsible for line managing the team who plan and deliver a broad programme of social and educational community-based activities. You will oversee the smooth running of the service and be responsible for quality assurance while ensuring the identified aims of the programme are met. You will also oversee all associated administration, the recruitment and management of relevant staff and volunteers, and contribute to the running and ongoing development of the service.
The role will involve balancing multiple priorities, including strategic planning as well as hands-on work alongside the rest of the team, ensuring a person-centred approach is maintained at all times and involving people in decision-making structures. There is ample scope for personal and professional development.
This job does require you to be an experienced manager who has planned and developed sessions for people with learning disabilities and led and motivated a team to ensure positive outcomes for people using the service.

This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician experienced in child mental health to deliver our ‘Clinical Practice in Context’ module, which forms part of the curriculum for our two-year full-time MSc programme in Developmental Psychology and Clinical Practice and consists of 2.5 hours of weekly lectures/seminars throughout Term 1 (usually 10 weeks in October-December). The MSc programme has an intake of around 18-20 students per year from a range of diverse and international backgrounds. In their second year, students have an opportunity to apply their clinical skills by undertaking a placement within a child and adolescent mental health setting, while continuing to attend lectures and seminars as well as conducting a clinically based research project. The Module Lead will work alongside the wider programme team, including the Programme Director, Tutors and other Module Leads. The successful candidate will have significant clinical experience working in child and adolescent mental health settings and experience of teaching/training adults. The ability to work flexibly and autonomously is essential to successfully deliver the module.
