Summary of the role:
The International Programmes Department (IPD) is a busy, multi-functional team at the heart of the work of Muslim Aid in the UK and internationally.
The Global Programmes Assistant reports directly to the Global Programmes Manager and will primarily be responsible for providing support functions to the International Programmes team. The role requires excellent organisational, teamwork and numeracy skills, to work with key stakeholders to ensure an effective, efficient and quality delivery of development and emergency response programmes.
The Global Programmes Assistant also supports the administrative work of the department, including the preparation and tracking of project payments, and maintaining partner due diligence records.
About the Role:
- Provide programme and administrative assistance to Country Programmes and Programmes Partnerships teams as required including support with the development and production of project proposals.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining the Project Tracker and SharePoint site.
- Maintain soft (and if required hard copies of) programme files, provide filing assistance to the team and support archiving.
- Ensure the timely submission of quarterly and completion reports, and support the review of seasonal and small-medium project reports as delegated by Country Programmes and Programmes Partnerships teams
- Maintain and review the report supporting documents including field reports, financial evidence, centrally agreed documents, media and case studies.
- Support the development of IPD wide administrative systems.
About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience of working within a Programme Support/administrative role.
- Experience of working with budgets and/or processing payments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders and employees at all levels.
- High degree of organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn and utilise any software adopted by Muslim Aid.
- Ability to work under pressure, be proactive and work on own initiative.

ClientEarth’s FOLU African Partnerships programme works to build, implement and enforce effective laws, as a vital part of building governance systems that better and more equitably manage forests and other ecosystems. The programme is founded on long-term partnerships with lawyers and civil society organisations based in West and Central Africa. It has been shaped by international, regional and European initiatives aimed at addressing forest governance issues and drivers of ecosystem destruction (FLEGT Action Plan and Voluntary Partnership Agreements, EU Deforestation Regulation, Global Biodiversity Framework, Paris Agreement, etc.). Though each jurisdiction has its own unique challenges in relation to forest governance, the extensive expertise of our local partners, combined with ClientEarth’s innovative use of the law, ensures that tailored and effective legal solutions are delivered in each country to strengthen legal frameworks.
In this role, the Law and Policy Advisor / Lawyer will primarily address issues relating to forest governance, climate change and community tenure rights in our focus countries across West and Central Africa, particularly in Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana. The Law and Policy Advisor / Lawyer will use their experience and skills to support the legal capacity of civil society and other stakeholders to take part in the design and implementation of stronger legal frameworks around forest governance, community rights and forest-risk commodities (specifically timber, cocoa & minerals)
This is a parental leave cover position (six months with potential for an extension) and the successful candidate will be expected – after a sufficient handover – to take on and progress an existing portfolio of work.
Meet your Manager
In this role, you will report to Catherine Lalonde, Head of Food, Oceans, and Land Use, African Partnerships. Catherine joined ClientEarth in 2025 and is based in Brussels. She leads ClientEarth’s programmes and impact strategies in Africa, built on long-term partnerships with lawyers and civil society organisations across West and Central Africa. Her work is grounded in regional priorities while ensuring alignment with ClientEarth’s global mission and strategy.
Main Duties
- Managing ClientEarth project activities in Côte d’Ivoire and in Ghana in coordination with the teams Project Manager and Officer, including planning, budgeting and reporting
- Critically analysing laws, legislative and policy proposals relevant to forest governance (including carbon market frameworks), land and community rights, forest-risk commodities (including minerals), gender and access to justice in the countries of engagement
- Maintaining positive working relationships with in-country partners (in particular with civil society organisations, international partners, national governments, as well as private sector representatives, as relevant).
Role requirements
- English and French at (CEFR level C2) with outstanding written and oral communication skills in both languages
- University degree in law
- Professional experience in a legal capacity (in an NGO, the public sector, private practice, or a relevant in-house role) with a focus on natural resources governance; human rights law and policy; environmental law; forest governance; land tenure
- Experience working with national partners in a developing country settin

As the Supporter Engagement & Legacy Manager you will play a key role as we seek to reignite our legacy marketing programme and grow overall individual giving income to help ensure long-term support for those facing financial difficulty. You will be responsible for the project management and implementation of all supporter engagement activity, acquisition, and legacy marketing activities, ensuring all activity is optimised and campaigns include enhanced digital and social media content.
Reporting to the Co-Heads of Supporter Engagement and managing the Supporter Engagement Officer, you will develop a multi-year plan to rebuild legacy income and a pipeline of legacy supporters, including re-engaging the EFH care home staff and major donors.
You will be responsible for supporting the strategic direction, operational plans and effective management of Turn2us’s giving programmes from individuals including appeals, regular giving and legacies, maximising net income from new and existing income streams.
The successful candidate will have experience of managing direct marketing campaigns in a charity environment as well as proven ability to manage successful legacy marketing campaigns. They will have significant experience stewarding individuals and legacy supporters and be adept at communicating the impact of donations, as well as having line management experience. The ability to make a strong case for supporting Turn2us’ key areas of work is crucial, as is an aptitude for proactively increasing acquisition and retention rates.
The post holder will also be a self-starter who is comfortable building new strategies from a relatively small pool of supporters and is experienced testing different tactics to establish the best practice for Turn2us.

The Operations Coordinator will provide vital support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the organisation, providing key operations administrative support to areas including, but not limited to Facilities, Office, IT, Data, Health & Safety and Policies & Procedures.
Key responsibilities:
Facilities and Office Admin
- Act as the main point of contact for the ScreenSkills office as a key liaison with the serviced office team (Techspace), meeting and greeting visitors as a representative of the organisation, managing visitor passes etc.
- Provide general office support in the smooth running of the office operations, acting as a key liaison for all ScreenSkills staff, including the set-up and exit requirements for new-starters and leavers.
- Manage meeting room booking requests, alongside the CEO’s PA, overseeing requirements for internal/external meetings, helping coordinate bookings on ScreenSkills desk booking system.
- Coordinate enquiries to the wider operations team, managing email inboxes and any other reasonable communication duties as requested.
- Act as direct contact for business enquiries - answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls from 3CX (telephone switchboard).
IT and Software
- Ensure all staff have suitable IT equipment and telecoms (as authorised), liaising with our IT providers (TouchTec) as needed, ensuring fixed IT assets are assigned, tracked and reported to finance and the COO proficiently and in a timely manner.
- Ability to provide calm first-line basic technical support, troubleshooting issues with devices, software, hardware, meeting room AV and online platforms. Logging and tracking issues and following-up support tickets diligently.
Data and Compliance
- Coordinating data processing requirements in line with our policies. Assist with managing data as instructed and per our data handling and retention policies.
- Coordinate and track data subject access requests as these arise.
Health & Safety
- Coordinate general Health and Safety documentation within the organisation ensuring fire and general risk assessments are completed in a timely manner, working with HR to coordinate information between the Techspace team and our Fire Marshalls and First Aiders.
- Act as a First Aider and/or Fire Marshal for ScreenSkills staff.
- Arrange annual training for first aiders and fire marshals.
Policies and Procedures
- Monitor the organisation’s policies, ensuring relevant senior managers are aware of the schedule to review/update them.
- Signposting staff to relevant policies and procedures as requested.
- Coordinate and track the organisations’ complaints process.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Essential:
- Proven experience working in a busy office and hybrid work environment, performing first class operations admin (e.g. office admin and or facilities coordinator tasks), supporting a hybrid/distributed workforce.
- Demonstrate experience acting as a key representative of the organisation in a “front-of-house” role, ensuring a professional and courteous communication style at all times.
- Ability to provide calm first line basic technical support, troubleshooting issues with devices, software, hardware, meeting-room AV and online platforms.
- Good working knowledge of all MS Office packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with digital and remote communication tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams, and collaboration platforms.
- Familiarity with document and data management systems (e.g., SharePoint, OneDrive) for efficient document handling and sharing.
- Excellent time management.

The Housing Independent Gender Violence Advocate (IGVA) will be embedded within borough housing teams to facilitate the dual working that will ensure that survivors’ safety and housing needs are met. This includes:
· Close working relationships with Housing colleagues
· Provision of specialist knowledge relating to DA for Housing Officers and Homelessness Teams to draw on
· Specialist support for survivors at the moment of crisis
· Provision of advocacy; supporting survivors to access safe accommodation
· Ongoing support from the IGVA from wider DA service, including access to group clinical supervision, casework management meetings, reflective practice sessions, one-to-one supervision from service manager
The Housing IGVA will work closely with victims of gender-based violence from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of gender-based violence at the highest risk and their children. The role will be part of increasing the ability of partner agencies to recognise, reject and respond appropriately and safely to all forms of gender-based violence (including domestic violence, sexual, financial and emotional abuse, female genital mutilation, forced marriage and honour-based violence).
The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors. The job involves informing survivors of the full range of civil, criminal, housing and practical options that might increase their safety. The post holder will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support especially around complex housing needs.
