Job description

RISE, a Brighton based, violence against women and girls' (VAWG) charity, is inviting applications for its Chair to the Board of Trustees.

Are you a feminist leader with experience in any of these sectors: public sector; private sector; youth/student societies or organisations; commercial or charitable organisations? We also welcome interest from those with direct experience of domestic violence and/or abuse. In addition to leadership roles and related experiences, we are looking for HR, finance and property development/management professionals - but lack of these areas of expertise should not deter applicants qualified in other ways or committed to our cause.

Our Board members come from all walks of life and bring a passion for ending violence and abuse against women, children, and LGBT people. We are keen to ensure greater diversity on our Board and welcome applications from a wide range of women who would help us better reflect our potential and current service users.

Trustee roles are open to women only*. They are voluntary with paid expenses. You are eligible to apply if you are eighteen or over and female.

*This voluntary post is open to female applicants only in-line with RISE Memorandum and Articles of Association and the Equality Act 2010.

Additional information can also be found on our website and you can follow us on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram.

We are looking forward to hearing from you.
