About the role
As a Senior CRM and Data Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting staff across NCVO in making the most of our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Acting as the go-to expert, you’ll provide guidance, training, and technical support to ensure the CRM is used confidently and effectively across the organisation. Your work will help maintain the quality and integrity of our data through regular imports, cleansing, and quality checks, ensuring compliance with data protection standards. You will also be instrumental in driving the adoption of best practices, empowering colleagues with the tools and knowledge to use data efficiently and responsibly.
You’ll also take the lead on developing and managing our Power BI reporting suite, creating impactful dashboards and visualisations that support data-driven decision-making. Working closely with stakeholders, you’ll translate complex needs into clear, accessible insights, drawing from data across Microsoft Dynamics and other integrated systems. Your role will include supporting ongoing CRM development projects, maintaining system integrations—particularly with Business Central—and contributing to a smooth rollout of new features. This is a hands-on, strategic role for someone who thrives on problem-solving, continuous improvement, and enabling others through data and technology.

DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Overview
•Support the Supporter Retention Manger (Loyalty) to design and deliver MAP’s individual giving retention strategy. Including bespoke welcome and ongoing multi-channel supporter journeys, for UK and international supporters
•Support the Supporter Retention Manger (Loyalty) to review individual giving retention activities and supporter journeys – developing a strategic approach and annual planning with a focus on regular giving and growing life time value
•Champion an insight-driven, supporter-led approach across campaigns and collaborative projects
•Responsible for the day to day management of campaigns and projects
Campaign Management
•Work with the Supporter Retention Manager (Loyalty) to optimise MAP’s regular giving programme and supporter journeys across Individual Giving, through a variety of online and offline channels
•Support and project manage income and retention campaigns to our warm audiences to maximise income and loyalty. Including but not limited to: data segmentation, scheduling, feedback management, agency liaison, results monitoring and end of campaign analysis
•Work with the Individual Giving Officers (Cash, Digital, Legacy and Offline Acquisition) to provide the best supporter experience possible, tailoring to and identifying different audience segments
•Support with the development of audience segmentation and testing plans to improve life-time value, retention and multiple levels of support
•Ensure processes and systems are in place to track and meet KPIs, including development of robust testing plans to optimize campaigns based on insight
•Write compelling email copy, build and schedule email sends
Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers

What you’ll be doing
As a Campaigns Analyst, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping River Action’s fight for cleaner rivers by transforming complex data and information into compelling narratives that influence public opinion, media coverage, political advocacy, and legal action.
Reporting to the Head of Campaigns, you’ll be at the heart of our evidence-based approach. You’ll be analysing government and industry data, uncovering insights, and equipping our team with the intelligence needed to challenge polluters, hold regulators accountable, and push for policy reform.
Like a detective, you will be the person we rely on to seek out and identify the smoking gun - as well as to meticulously build out the pieces of the jigsaw - that demonstrates the malpractice, illegal behaviour or mismanagement of a water company, a factory farm or a failed regulator.

Monitor government regulators and industry updates, tracking regulatory programmes, announcements, data, reports and other information.

Develop and lead proactive data collection efforts including by making Freedom of Information (FOI) and Environmental Information Regulation (EIR) requests to inform and support campaigns, legal actions, investigations and communications.

Plan, execute and report public opinion polls to gather insights that strengthen campaign messaging.

Analyse and interpret complex data to uncover key insights that drive impactful campaigns and communications.

Map and assess major campaign factors, including pollution sources, supply chains, regulatory frameworks and industry compliance.

Responsibilities
- Work with course designers to develop new, and maintain existing, elearning and media content.
- Translate storyboards into interactive learning content, creating activities, graphics, animations, audio and videos, using tools such as Articulate (Storyline and Rise), Canva, H5P, Murf and Adobe.
- Ensure learning meets development guidelines, and is accessible, functional and engaging.
- Integrate learning content to create courses on our learning management system (Moodle).
- Test learning content, including using screen readers and other accessibility software.
- Help to maintain the guidelines for course development.
- Support the day-to-day administration of the Sea Cadets learning management environment
- Cultivate strong working relationships across multiple teams (internal and external)
- Stay up to date with latest system upgrades and advise on their potential impact on existing or new courses
Requirements
- eLearning development experience ( e.g. tools such as Articulate Storyline and Rise, or similar)

The Opportunity:
This is where this new role comes in: The Head of Fundraising will play a crucial role in supporting the stewardship of the current donors while also securing the vital resources needed to realise our bold ambition and help us transform the lives of millions of young refugees and conflict affected youth across the globe.

In order to reach and support more kinship carers with these programmes and our other services, we have developed a new Marketing Team to develop and deliver integrated, strategic and creative marketing and engagement campaigns and strategies. This team is now established with clear plans to engage kinship carer audiences, rooted in insights.
Strategic engagement with professionals from the education sector as a conduit to engage kinship carers in our services offer is a key part of this role, and a relatively new area of focus for Kinship. You will be a subject matter expert in EDI and will be key to embedding EDI in decision making, ensuring we are compliant with legal requirements, delivering on our EDI objectives, anti-racism and disability equality commitments, key EDI projects, supporting colleagues with lived experience and contributing to a culture of belonging across the whole organisation. The role holder will be expected to have a knowledge of EDI legislation across the UK.
