What is the overall purpose of the role?

At Youth Action Alliance (YAA), our mission is to support the personal and social development (their values, beliefs, ideas and skills) of the young people living in Kensington and Chelsea, enabling them to increase their resilience and skills in the present and promote their ambitions for the future.

We are ambitious to grow, to continue supporting more young people and influence positive change. To do this we are looking to appoint a Business Support Officer to provide a range of financial support duties and administer the organisation’s general ledger and finance system.

This post will provide high-quality support to the overall operations of the organisation and the team, to ensure the smooth running of the main sites and enable YAA to meet and deliver on its core objectives and obligations.

The post holder will provide administrative support to YAA, covering a wide range of tasks and activities including (but not limited to) procurement coordination, travel and logistics, department meetings and off-site activities, diary management, meeting coordination, and minute-taking for our board and meetings for staff, members and stakeholders.

General Requirements

• To act as a point of contact for all Board of Trustees, staff, participants and stakeholders
• To manage office maintenance, including ordering equipment, stationery and products needed for the day-to-day running of YAA
• To be the appointed Fire Marshall and First Aid Officer on site
• To oversee the Health and Safety of YAA and ensure all aspects are attended to in line with the YAA Health and Safety Policy.
• To create and maintain the security of all sensitive data in accordance with YAA Data Protection Policy, including the filing system and database of the shared drive and in-house hard copies
• To coordinate inductions for new starters, ensure DBS checks and training records are kept up to date.
• To maintain risk assessment and action logs for the organisation
• To ensure the main office is kept clean, tidy and presentable
• To manage memberships, contracts/SLAs, facilitators and referrals of YAA
• To support the CEO and team manager directly with administrative duties

• To collate reports and data that support evidence building to demonstrate the wider organisational impact

Details:

Salary: £32,500 per annum.

The Head of Data & Technology will play a central role in delivering our mission to transform outcomes for everyone affected by ovarian cancer. This is a newly created leadership role, and an exciting opportunity to own and lead the entire technology & data programme for the organisation.

As Head of Data & Technology, you will ensure that we’re maximizing the functionality of our fundraising database (Raiser’s Edge), make proposals to SLT spanning topics from cyber security and technology strategy to compliance and internal capability and skills, and deliver tangible improvements to how the organisation works. This is a varied and crucial role and the postholder will have a real opportunity to make their mark and leave a lasting legacy. 

You will be supported by a forward-thinking SLT, a range of great suppliers (including an outsourced IT provider and data protection advisors) and the wider Corporate Services team.

The job description for this role is broad and we are not expecting applicants to have deep technical experience in every area of the role – but we would love tohear from anyone who can meet the following key requirements:

About the role

The Senior People Partner at NCVO is a key role within the People, Culture & Inclusion team. The postholder will oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, and drive initiatives across recruitment, people management, culture and inclusion.

They will work closely with senior leaders to embed best practices, deliver the people strategy, and shape a high-performing, inclusive culture. Core oversight of recruitment and onboarding, learning and development, EDI initiatives, HR systems and processes and engagement with internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires strong HR leadership experience, CIPD membership and expertise in transformation, recruitment, talent development and organisational culture change.

THE ROLE

• Strategic Leadership: Lead, inspire, and manage our assurance team, guiding them to excel within Start Network.  You'll provide strategic advice and collaborate across the organisation. 

• Risk Management and Compliance: Develop robust risk management frameworks that resonate with our mission.  Foster a culture of risk awareness, implement controls, and ensure legal and donor compliance. 

• Humanitarian Compliance: Working with our hubs and membership team, use your expertise to co-design risk and compliance structures around our humanitarian work. You'll oversee due diligence processes, ensuring alignment with external partners and donor expectations.
