The Linking Network inspires and equips schools to support children and young people to build meaningful connections across all forms of difference. We work with 25 Local Authority Areas to deliver a local Schools Linking Programme, collectively reaching 26,000 children, 850 classes in over 500 schools across England. We also work directly with 100 schools locally in Bradford and deliver Intergenerational Linking, reaching around 2,200 pupils in 110 classes and 1000 older people in the Bradford district. Purpose

The successful candidate will be employed by The Linking Network (TLN) in Bradford and work collaboratively as part of a small team and a wide network of committed stakeholders who are working together to inspire community cohesion through schools across the UK. The Operations Manager will have an opportunity to help shape how the organisation runs, playing a pivotal role in ensuring smooth, efficient and compliant operations. The post-holder will have responsibility for the day to day operations and finances of our charity and offer vital administrative and organisational support to TLN’s team, Board of Trustees and wider network of partners across the country, helping them to plan ahead and enabling them to fulfil their responsibilities.

This role will have responsibility in three key areas of our work:

Key responsibilities

Supporting our team and network

● Contribute to organisational planning and reporting cycles, in pursuit of our collective vision to inspire community cohesion across the country

● Assist the Directors through diary management, prioritising where needed and supporting preparation before meetings 

● Provide general administration support to the team such as booking meeting rooms, arranging travel and maintaining a comprehensive filing system

● Develop our internal processes and support our team meetings with clear agendas and actions

● Support the team to plan and deliver stakeholder meetings and events (e.g., celebration events with our schools and communities), including through sourcing the right venue, managing the guestlist and liaising with speakers 

● Help the team develop compelling presentations, training aids, handouts or other communications

● Provide general support to TLN’s Local Areas, for example booking training sessions, printing and posting key materials or following up on agreed actions

● Enable the team to plan effective Network meetings, ensuring the right materials are shared in advance and notes of key points and actions circulated promptly afterwards

● Request and organise accurate records for TLN’s local areas across the country so that we understand our collective work across schools and communities

Managing our general operations 

● Help foster a supportive, inclusive and values-driven working culture

● Support staff recruitment, induction, development and training, working with the Directors to manage HR records including annual leave

● Work with external providers to ensure the team have the right IT systems and support

● Maintain and update TLN’s website and web-based resources, working alongside the team and our contracted website developer

● Manage the office space and supplies to ensure that the team has the required resources to achieve their objectives

● Provide administration support to the Board of Trustees, including organising meetings, circulating board papers and taking minutes

● Coordinate the implementation of key policies - including Safeguarding, Health & Safety and GDPR - ensuring the policies are kept up to date with support from the Directors and Trustees and all relevant procedures are in place

● Ensure the charity’s insurance, Health & Safety and DBS certificates are up to date and maintain a single central record of safeguarding training and DBS certificates

Managing our finances 

● Monitor organisational spend against budget, ensuring the timely spending of restricted funds and value-for-money procurement

● Manage payroll and staff expenses and keep finance records up to date

● Administer grants to TLN’s Local Areas, ensuring all contracts are signed, invoices are requested and payments are made on time 

● With the support of the Directors and our contracted accountants, prepare monthly management accounts, the year end statutory accounts and budgets for the year ahead and funding applications

● Support the team to develop effective reports that communicate the progress of our work to funders and other key stakeholders

● Ensure all funders receive invoices and any reporting requirements within their deadlines

The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) brings together 15 leading UK aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of humanitarian crisis overseas. This role will require you to lead on organic social media as part of the DEC Communications team, working closely with the Digital and Innovation team in Fundraising, collaborate with social leads across our 15 member charities and public figures through our talent agency. During appeal launch periods it will also involve managing a small social media team of volunteers.

Our aim at Bipolar UK is to integrate research into the charity in a way which combines more traditional elements of facilitating lived experience involvement alongside actively contributing to and directing research. Bipolar UK is very much a user-driven organisation. Approximately one-third of our staff, including our Director of Research, have lived experience of bipolar themselves, while many more have lived experience through family or close friends. • To work closely with MHR, HR Team and consultants to ensure that tasks are scheduled and completed to meet project timelines.
• To co-ordinate work with HR and Payroll colleagues to ensure all relevant payroll processes are captured, reviewed, and, where necessary or appropriate, changed to ensure they are fit for purpose with the new system.
• To be responsible and manage the configuration of the new modules, working with HR and Payroll colleagues, MHR and other consultants to ensure that it is configured to Family Action’s requirements and that the rationale and effects of our chosen configuration is clearly documented.
• To work alongside the HR Systems and Operation Managers to ensure that the HR and Payroll teams are trained and supported in the effective use of the system as pertains to their roles.
• To be responsible and manage user testing of the new system and any parallel runs as part of the implementation process.
• To act as the Payroll System Administrator for iTrent, taking the lead on technical functionality and expertise and liaising with MHR as required for technical solutions.
• To support the Payroll team with other ad hoc duties, as may be required for running an effective and efficient payroll system.

• CIPP qualified or significant experience working in Payroll in a Payroll  Manager or payroll system development and implementation role
• Significant experience using and administrating itrent payroll systems, including liaison with system providers.

We’re looking for a Carer Assessment Service Manager to lead our countywide team in delivering statutory and preventative assessments in line with the Care Act 2014. You’ll provide leadership and day-to-day support to your team, oversee assessment allocations, and manage referrals through our internal CRM and West Sussex County Council’s systems.

You’ll also deliver staff supervisions, attend management and partner meetings, contribute to training, and support service development projects. A key part of the role involves quality assurance, trend analysis, report writing for senior leaders and commissioners, and managing assessment processes and budgets. You’ll stay up to date with Care Act legislation, ensure staff are trained accordingly, and take part in the duty manager rota to provide out-of-hours support and safeguard service continuity.

The role is mainly remote / homeworking with the expectation that you may need to travel on occasion to in-person meetings and training across the county. This role would therefore suit those located in, or close to, West Sussex.

Job Role

• Lead the specialist, countywide Carer Assessment team to deliver best value, high quality statutory and preventative carer assessments and ensure that outcomes are compliant with the Care Act 2014.
• Work with Heads of Service to grow and develop services including identifying gaps, managing risks and demand, proactively seeking opportunities, increasing the digital offer and supporting funding bids to respond to changing needs.
• Develop, deliver and monitor the Carer Assessment Team delivery plan, aligning to CSWS’s strategy ensuring all KPIs are met and a high-quality service is provided to carers.
• Be a proactive member of the Operational Managers Team to develop services, promoting collaboration with your teams, build internal relationships and encourage team to share good practice and work collaboratively with the wider staff group.

Mary Hare educates 200 profoundly deaf children at its residential school in Berkshire, and we pride ourselves on our pupils’ achievements at GCSE, A Level as well as B Tech and Vocational Courses. We offer the opportunity to teach highly motivated children, in small classes, where you can make a real difference at this national centre of excellence for deaf education. No knowledge of sign language is required, as we follow an auditory/oral philosophy.

The Role:

This is an opportunity to join a vibrant, dynamic and ambitious charity whose goal is to enable deaf children and young people to thrive and reach their full potential.

​The organisation has a good track record of raising substantial sums for major capital developments including an arts centre, new residential accommodation and most recently £4 million for a new Primary School for deaf children. ​You will be responsible for a small team and will need to be able to secure major donations from Trusts, Foundations and individuals.  The role is varied and takes in most areas of fundraising. You will also be responsible to for raising unrestricted funds annually.

The Fundraising Manager will manage the Trusts Fundraiser. The role works across two organisations: The Mary Hare Foundation and Mary Hare. These are two separate registered charities. The Mary Hare Foundation is the fundraising arm and Mary Hare is concerned with service delivery.

The largest fundraising targets are related to capital projects that are outlined by the School.There are some revenue fundraising targets, including the bursary scheme. The role is very hands on with both the management of fundraising and the implementation of fundraising activities, especially trust fundraising.

About you: 

We are looking for someone with proven experience securing funding from trusts and foundations, with a strong track record of writing successful applications for significant grants (£200k+). You will be a confident and persuasive writer, able to communicate our impact concisely and compellingly, while building strong and long-lasting funder relationships. 

Proactive and tenacious, you excel at identifying and pursuing new funding opportunities. Highly organised, with keen attention to detail, you can manage multiple applications and deadlines effectively.

You will be familiar with organising a wide range of events and understand what makes a successful fundraising event.You will have experience of stewarding high level givers as well as securing donations from individuals and companies.You will also have:

• Excellent written skills to create accurate, powerful, compelling and persuasive copy in a range of formats. 
• Ability to match the needs of prospective funders with the needs of the charity. 
• Excellent networking and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to people at all levels in person, on the phone, by video link or in written format. 
• Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to plan and manage a demanding variety of tasks and manage conflicting priorities to meet deadlines.

We are excited to be recruiting a part-time role for an Operations Manager in our dynamic voluntary sector adolescent mental health service.

Open Door is a young people’s mental health charity that has been based in Haringey, North London for 49 years. It aims to improve mental health and life-chances of young people. We provide an ‘Open Door’ to free, high quality psychological therapy to 12–24-year-olds delivered by experienced and highly trained clinicians. We also support parents and carers, struggling with the issues their children face. We aim for access to be simple and over half of those we support, self-refer. Many young people who come to us have significant mental health difficulties and have faced barriers to services. Open Door delivers evidence informed practice and has been commended for our ambitious approach to outcome driven care. 

Open Door  received national recognition for  impact, as a 2024 finalist for Health Service Journal (HSJ) Award for Reducing Inequality and Improving Outcomes for Children and Young People  Open Door is community embedded, integrated into the local mental health infrastructure, commissioned by North Central London Integrated Care Board and part of the Haringey Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service single-point-of-access. We have a strategic voice which is used to advocate for young people’s mental health and influence practice. Last year we supported over 800 young people, parents and carers and offered over 8000 appointments. This is an exciting time to join Open Door. There are over 180 lakes in the Cotswold Lakes which covers an area of over 42 square miles. Gravel extraction has created a biodiverse new landscape which is home to an amazing variety of wildlife, some of it rare, and a place of joy for many thousands of people who come here to walk, cycle, birdwatch or enjoy a multitude of water sports from outdoor swimming to waterskiing. Cotswold Lakes Trust is the charity that protects and enhances the area for conservation, recreation and education.

We are looking for an experienced part-time Fundraising Manager to coordinate and manage our fundraising activities. You will help us build a sustainable funding future, supporting our mission and delivering long-lasting benefits to the Cotswold Lakes for both wildlife and people.

Key tasks and responsibilities

1. Responsible for raising funds to deliver Cotswold Lakes Trust’s fundraising plans.
2. Work to develop and implement a fundraising plan that is ambitious and achievable, incorporating trust/foundation funding, corporate and individual giving and event fundraising.
3. Play an integral role in the Trust’s plans for the development of its major asset – Cleveland Lakes (for more information on the Cleveland Lakes project please see our website). Assist with the fundraising element of this project, working with colleagues as appropriate for a coordinated approach.
4. Develop and lead on particular fundraising campaigns, including digital campaigns, bespoke fundraising events and communications.

6. Work with the Trust’s Events and Administrator Manager to maximise all opportunities for fundraising as part of events.

The purpose of your role

We are looking for a proactive policy and corporate affairs professional to join the Police Now team and play a key role in shaping understanding of our programmes, build support amongst stakeholders, and lead the conversation on police reform and culture change. 

Police Now’s mission is to transform communities, reduce crime and increase public confidence in policing.  You will be instrumental in identifying and offering great opportunities to showcase the best of Police Now's work with Ministers, officials, MPs, Peers, committees, All-Party Parliamentary Groups, and other policy stakeholders and influencers.  You will use your skills in advocacy and effective communication to increase awareness of and support for what we deliver, and be an effective partner to the Government demonstrating delivery of their 13,000 neighbourhood policing pledge and the difference good local policing makes to communities.

What you’ll do – the key responsibilities

•Establish yourself within Police Now as a source of expert political advice and guidance in handling sensitive issues and relationships, working to protect and enhance our reputation. 

•Be curious about police reform, be actively contributing on external thinking about this and ensure PN colleagues are kept abreast of key developments.

•Maintain the day to day relationship with the Home Office including organising meetings, submissions, paperwork and evaluations.

•Provide expert policy advice to officials at the Home Office, other Government Departments, and Parliamentarians on the work of Police Now through contributions to White Papers and Committee Investigations. 

•Be proactive in looking for opportunities for Police Now such as organising visits, participating in roundtables, and playing an active role in relevant conferences.

•Ensure that Police Now fulfils its obligations to Government in return for public investment and is responsive to the needs of the Home Office and other organisations. You will provide accurate information for answers to Parliamentary Questions in a timely manner, input for Ministerial briefings and correspondence, and advice on police and skills policy issues to the Government as appropriate.

What you’ll need – the person specification

•Experience of influencing and advocating within a policy and public affairs environment, you will be confident in communicating with senior stakeholders.

•Engage Ministers, MPs, Mayors, Police and Crime Commissioners and their teams in a way that enhances Police Nows reputation as an expert, insight-led organisation with a strong record of delivery that represents excellent value-for-money.

•You will have a strong understanding of Westminster, Whitehall and the Mayoralities and build good working relationships with key decision-makers.  Some experience of media handling around public policy issues is desirable as you will work closely with the Media and Communications team at Police Now.

•Essential skills are the ability to write well, communicate effectively and be confident in engaging senior stakeholders.  A demonstrable interest or background in policing or related public services would be of assistance in working with internal stakeholders.

•Above all, you must demonstrate for a passion the Police Now mission, be proactive in identifying opportunities to share Police Now's impact, and be a great team player.

We’re looking for a creative, analytical and organised Impact & Evaluation Manager to join our team and lead on delivering a refreshed approach to measuring impact, evaluation and reporting ahead of our new strategy launching in 2026.

You’ll work alongside our SMT, teams across the charity, and colleagues at the Trust to provide guidance and support in all aspects of monitoring and evaluation, ensuring we’re able to demonstrate how we’re delivering against our strategic objectives, and how we’re delivering impact for the patients and NHS staff at our hospitals.

As well as ensuring we’re set up with the tools and systems we need for success in evaluating our strategy, you’ll provide day-to-day support and advice for teams in evaluating the impact of their work, sourcing data to evidence this impact, and presenting this information in the most engaging way possible for our various stakeholders and supporters.

This is an important role at a critical time for the charity, so we’re looking for someone who can bring a fresh perspective on impact and evaluation to support us as we prepare to make an even bigger difference through our strategy.
