Glasspool is a UK-wide grant funder, established in 1939 with a permanent endowment from Richard Louveteau Glasspool, a Hertfordshire businessman and philanthropist. He experienced financial hardship as a young man, but when his income became more than enough to meet his personal needs, he started to provide financial support to individuals. He died in 1949, aged 65, but his legacy lives on in the Glasspool Charity Trust.

Legacy and In Memory Marketing Manager

About the Team
The WaterAid Legacy & In Memory team is responsible for increasing supporter and public awareness and consideration to give a gift in their will and/or an in memory gift. The team deliver supporter journeys, engage staff in the cross promotion of gifts in wills and in memory giving and all aspects of legacy gift case management. We contribute to 14% of WaterAid’s voluntary income, meaning you’ll be a vital part of helping us reach even more people with life-saving clean water.
About the Role
As our creative, innovative and data led Legacy & In Memory Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and delivering WaterAid’s legacy and in memory fundraising programme with the support of the Legacy and In Memory Marketing Officer. You will deliver multi-channel campaigns across TV, digital, direct mail, email and events to raise awareness of gifts in wills, generate legacy enquirers and create inspiring journeys to nurture and engage legacy and in memory supporters.
In this role, you will plan, manage and execute multi-channel campaigns across the marketing funnel, as well as work with the Legacy and In Memory Marketing Officer to deliver exceptional stewardship, through personal communications and events, to our committed supporters.
You’ll also:
- Be responsible for using data, analysis and insight to innovate and maximise both existing campaigns and seek to test new audiences and channels that meet specific objectives within the LIM Team plans
- Undertake Project Management responsibilities required for the successful and timely delivery of multiple channel campaigns – including delivery of the award-winning legacy consideration campaign What Jack Gave across TV and digital
- Manage, coach and motivate the Legacy and In Memory Marketing Officer to deliver their campaigns.
- Manage relationships with external agencies and suppliers to ensure the effective and timely delivery of campaigns
- Operate a rigorous test to learn methodology, regularly monitoring, evaluating and analysing campaigns
Requirements
You’ll be passionate about using your experience in fundraising and marketing to make a difference by creating inspiring and supporter-led communications that effectively raises consideration for legacy giving and uncovers new legacy prospects and legacy pledgers.
To be successful, you’ll need:
- Proven experience in direct marketing – print and digital
- Experience of leading and motivating internal and external stakeholders
- Experience of developing and implementing multiple channels campaigns
- Experience in monitoring, evaluating and analysing complex campaigns to improve performance and manage expenditure budgets

Although not essential, we also prefer you to have:
- Experience of legacy or in memory fundraising

Careers4Change is delighted to be supporting The Social Change Nest in their search for a Senior Development Manager (mat leave cover).
Role Purpose:
The Social Change Nest is going through a very exciting growth period and since our Head of Development is going on maternity leave for 4 months from September we are looking for somebody who can join our growing team as soon as possible. The Senior Development Manager will contribute to our FY25/26 income targets and cover part of the functions of the Head of Development while she’s on leave. The Head of Development manages the Development team, which covers the business development, marketing and communications functions, and works with the CEO to ensure that the organisation grows in a strategic and balanced way.
The Social Change Nest is onboarding and supporting hundreds of new groups every year and we are working closely with funders across the UK and worldwide, helping them move large amounts of funding to unincorporated movements at the frontlines of social change. We are spending more time than ever raising awareness on how capital flows impact the ability of communities to create change, and how we can hack the system to enable more money to flow in an equitable way to unincorporated movements.
We are looking for somebody who is excited about all this and ready to hit the ground running. We are in the middle of a large capital raise, so we would like the ideal candidate to join the team as soon as possible to work closely with the Head of Development and the CEO, as well as the rest of the Development team, for 3 months, before the Head of Development goes on maternity leave. The Senior Development Manager will then take over part of the team support responsibilities of the Head of Development and share responsibility for the income targets with the CEO for the months that the Head of Development is on leave.

June/July to Aug
- Work closely with the Head of Development to deliver our Development strategy for the financial year FY25/26:
- Identify and secure new funding opportunities with clients, creating tailored proposals to appeal to funder appetite and needs.
- Deliver high-quality bid proposals and pitch documents to support business growth.
- Develop and implement client management and engagement strategies, including our philanthropic networks, enhancing relationships and delivering value.
- Quickly build strong rapport with funders and community groups to ensure effective implementation of our strategy.
- Get familiar with our processes and identify opportunities to support and collaborate with other members of the Delivery team and other teams across the organisation:
- Analyse and present HubSpot data to inform strategic decisions and refine our offering.
- Manage budgeting processes and prepare essential documentation for pitches and contracts.
- Support on the delivery of our strategic communications and marketing plans.
- Support the integration of Development with other departments.
September to December
- Continue carrying out the responsibilities outlined above, more independently without the Head of Development:
- Oversee the business development pipeline, ensuring its effectiveness and alignment with our strategic goals.
- Identify new development opportunities in line with the targets for the financial year, ensuring our pipeline stays healthy.
- Be an ambassador for the Social Change Nest, representing the business at industry conferences, events and workshops and grow strategic partnerships.
- Step in to support the team strategically where required:
- Oversee and contribute to external communications and marketing campaigns.
- Support and line manage members of the Development team, as required, in the Head of Development’s absence. The team of 4 works across business development, communications and marketing.
January and February
Ensure a smooth transition and handover of relationships as the Head of Development comes back into post after maternity leave.

In this integral role, you will lead on the management of data held by the Cancer Intelligence Team and support the generation of cancer intelligence and analytical outputs to drive impactful interventions.
As a central point of contact for internal stakeholders and the NHS, you will manage data access, our DPSt accreditation, data sharing and processing agreements, and ensure appropriate training is developed and delivered. What will I be doing?
Develop and manage relationships with key providers of health and social care data across the UK to secure access to critical data. This includes: Public Health England, the Health and Social Care Information Centre, Public Health Wales, NHS Scotland's Information Services Division and the N. Ireland Cancer Registry.
Lead the development and implementation of a UK-wide Cancer Data Trusted Research Environment
Influence external stakeholders on the development of new and existing datasets to meet CRUK's analytical data requirements.
Support requests for data - held by external bodies - by CRUK's Cancer Intelligence team and the wider Policy, Information & Communications directorate.
Manage data protection compliance and other technical/governance requirements for data received by CRUK's Cancer Intelligence team
Support the development of internal practices around the identification, capture and storing of data and intelligence from various sources

The Organisation
The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity that manages over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.
We also manage other important public spaces including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. Our eight Royal Parks and other iconic green spaces are among the most visited attractions in the UK with tens of millions of visits every year.
We are now looking for a Head of Projects to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 36 hours per week.

The Role
Working with the Director of Estates & Projects, as our Head of Projects, you will lead our Projects team in the delivery of a diverse range of capital projects across the Royal Parks estate.
From conserving historic sites to delivering innovative modern upgrades, you will oversee the successful planning and execution of projects that enhance and protect some of London’s most iconic green spaces.
In this strategic leadership role, you will lead, develop and motivate a high performing team of Project Managers, a Senior Architectural Designer, a Project Support Officer and two Assistant Project Managers.
You will operate as a member of the senior management team in the Estates & Projects directorate, and will shape and contribute to the development of the five-year capital plan, aligning projects with organisational goals, and managing the department’s risk and financial planning.
Alongside working with consultants and stakeholders, you will lead on consultancy and contractor frameworks, champion sustainability, accessibility, and innovation across all project work.
Additionally, you will:
- Take the lead on projects until they are fully resourced
- Critique project documentation and promote best practices
- Oversee financial forecasting, budget monitoring, and long-term capital planning
- Engage and communicate with senior stakeholders, local authorities, and heritage bodies
About You
To be considered as our Head of Projects, you will need:
- Extensive proven experience delivering large-scale and complex construction and refurbishment projects
- Experience in a leadership role with line management responsibilities
- Experience in contract management
- Experience managing external multi-disciplinary professionals
- In-depth knowledge of project and programme management delivery methodologies, project management documentation, governance, portfolio management practices and strategic planning principles
- A project management qualification (or the willingness to work towards this)

Job Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
· Ensure volunteers and people with lived experience play a clear, positive part in ending homelessness.
· Oversee every volunteering activity: night shelters, triage volunteers, office roles and more; making sure each runs smoothly, safely and inclusively.
· Organise and facilitate the Lived Experience Group, gathering insight, championing its recommendations and embedding their expertise across the charity.
· Work closely with colleagues across all teams, amplifying the voices of volunteers and those with lived experience.
· Champion volunteering across the organisation, showcasing its value and impact on our mission.
Volunteer Management
· Lead the full volunteer journey — recruitment, screening, induction, training, coordination and recognition.
· Produce and keep up-to-date role outlines and guidance so every volunteer understands their contribution.
· Act as the main point of contact for 20+ night shelter Volunteer Coordinators and for triage, office and translation volunteers, handling scheduling, queries and quality assurance while ensure a positive volunteer experience.
· Apply robust safeguarding practice across all volunteer activities.
Lived experience
· Organise and support the Lived Experience Group — schedule meetings, circulate papers, handle logistics, and recruit and onboard new members.
· Lead the charity’s lived experience strategy with the Director of Services and senior leadership, embedding co-production and meaningful involvement throughout the organisation.
· Champion lived experience insight across departments, advising colleagues on how to integrate it into their work.
· Promote trauma-informed practice when involving people with lived experience, modelling respectful and inclusive ways of working.
· Track and report how lived experience insight shapes services, communications and organisational culture, sharing clear evidence with leadership and trustees.
· Build external links with peer organisations and networks to share learning and widen opportunities for people with lived experience.

Support others managing volunteers
· Work with teams across the charity to identify and shape new volunteer roles and opportunities where services need them.
· Develop clear role descriptions and guidance so every volunteer understands their purpose and what’s expected of them.
· Provide practical support and coaching to staff who supervise volunteers, promoting consistent good practice.
Volunteer communications
· Respond quickly to enquiries, giving a great first impression of volunteering at Glass Door.
· Write and send the monthly volunteer newsletter, working with the Communications team on wider volunteer related communications.
· Coordinate Volunteers’ Week activities to recognise our volunteers’ contribution.
· Gather and organise volunteer feedback to keep improving our volunteering opportunities and the services they enable.
Support, training and guidance
· Develop, implement and review volunteer-management policies, procedures and processes so staff have clear, best-practice tools to support the volunteers who enable our services.
· Advise colleagues on creating roles, supervising and utilising volunteers, and resolving day-to-day issues.
· Design, produce and deliver role-specific training packages and induction sessions for large volunteer cohorts (for example, 800 night shelter volunteers), ensuring everyone is confident and equipped before they begin.
· Evaluate and refresh training and guidance materials regularly, using feedback, legislation and organisational priorities to keep content up to date.
Quality assurance
· Stay on top of legislation and sector standards; update processes when needed.

Essential
· Empathetic attitude towards people experiencing homelessness and other vulnerable groups, paired with a positive, engaging style that builds trust with volunteers, staff and others.
· Significant experience managing the full volunteer journey — recruitment, screening, induction, training, scheduling, support and recognition.
· An understanding of the value of lived experience involvement and the principles of co-production and co-design.
· Strong knowledge of best practice in volunteer management.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills and confident use of Microsoft Office and databases (e.g. Salesforce).
