Pathfinders is a user-led charity run by and for people living with muscle-weakening conditions. We support disabled people and those who employ personal assistants (PAs) through peer support, information, training, and advocacy. We believe in the power of lived experience and centre disabled voices in everything we do.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Project Coordinator to lead the delivery of an exciting new learning and development project for individual employers and personal assistants. The project will support people who employ PAs through direct payments and their PAs to develop the knowledge and skills they need through videos, peer-led training, discussion sessions, and case studies.

You will oversee the planning, coordination and delivery of the project, ensuring activities run smoothly, are well-attended, and meet the needs of learners. You’ll work closely with people with lived experience of employing PAs, guest speakers, partner organisations, and the wider Pathfinders team to deliver high-quality, accessible training and resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery of the training project, including scheduling and facilitating sessions, managing communications, and tracking progress against objectives.

• Work with Pathfinders staff, guest speakers and people with lived experience to produce a series of bite-sized training videos for PAs and employers.

• Organise and support delivery of:

  • Fortnightly peer-learning sessions for PA employers

  • Monthly case study sessions for PAs

  • Monthly “Train the Trainer” classes for employers

• Engage and support participants, including managing bookings, sending reminders, and providing follow-up information.

• Promote the project in collaboration with our communications team and external partners, including disability charities, PA networks, and local authorities.

• Gather feedback, measure impact and contribute to reporting for the funder.

• Support participants to access additional training opportunities (e.g. SfC resources, the Individual Employer Fund, local training).

• Ensure accessibility and inclusion are embedded in all activities.

Person Specification

Essential:

• Strong project coordination skills and the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously

• Excellent communication and people skills – confident talking to diverse audiences including disabled people, PAs, professionals and partner organisations

• A clear understanding of the challenges and responsibilities of employing personal assistants

• Good digital skills and confidence using online platforms like Zoom, Google Drive, Microsoft Office and social media

• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and meet deadlines

• Committed to inclusion, accessibility and user-led values

Desirable:

• Lived experience of employing PAs or supporting someone who does

• Experience creating or coordinating learning content or training sessions

ABOUT THE ROLE 

The Women Transport Workers and Gender Equality Officer will play a fundamental role in leading and developing strategies on organising and increasing collective bargaining and leverage for women transport workers, on behalf of the ITF. 

At the direction of the General Secretary and Executive Board, the Women Transport Workers and Gender Equality Officer will be responsible for leading the ITF’s Gender and Equality Programme. The role will be focused on developing leading campaign strategies to organise women workers and increase the capacity of our affiliates in this area. It will strategically engage with ITF affiliates, donor organisations and other relevant stakeholders to deliver projects globally, which includes managing relationships with multinationals to improve the state of gender and equality matters across transport supply chains.

This role will have accountability for the management of relevant staff of the Women’s Department, as well as budgeting and planning for all development initiatives.

Job Purpose:

• Identify community needs – gather information from local residents on what they value the most, the challenges they face, and what services or initiatives could benefit them. This could be done through informal conversations, community meetings, surveys

Location: Non residential service which is based in Brent (Close to the Civic Centre), you will provide support based in the main office and in the wider community, including homes

We are looking for two enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join the development/digital marketing team for a twelve month fixed term contract.

In 2023 the global charity raised $46 million for conservation projects in Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America. So, we are looking for an experienced Finance and Administrative Officer to join our small UK team to help us manage an increasing number of donations.

This is a varied role which will offer the successful candidate exposure to a wide range of tasks and responsibilities, including bank reconciliations, financial and performance reporting, some data upkeep and systems improvements. You will need to be good at juggling competing priorities, well-organised with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities (see attached job description for full list)

Finance (~80% of role)

• Carry out weekly bank reconciliations using Xero.

• Maintaining records of expenditure, processing monthly expenses, paying invoices.

• Prepare HMRC Gift Aid claims and maintain records of Gift Aid donations and payments.

• Assist with annual external financial audits.

• Import bank transactions onto CRM database and ensure donations are assigned to correct conservation projects.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual management accounts and annual budgets.

Administration (~20% of role)

• Maintain all accounts on UK portals (Benevity, Charities Aid Foundation, etc) and process, track and reconcile all portal donations, soft crediting these where necessary.

• Suggest changes or improvements to both financial and administrative processes (including automations) to increase accuracy, efficiency and potential cost reductions, then implement where agreed.

• Support with HR administration - keeping personnel and Trustee files up to date, keeping records of sickness, holidays and other absences, drafting new policies.

Working Arrangements and Travel Requirements

Rainforest Trust UK staff work remotely and the successful candidate will be expected to work primarily from home with an excellent internet connection. They may be based anywhere in the UK but will be expected to travel to work from a shared team space in London 1 day per month. In this role, you'll lead the cultivation and stewardship of a portfolio of donors capable of making £1 million+ gifts. With a particular focus on advancing research into children's and young people's cancers, your work will have both national and international reach - and a lasting impact.

What will I be doing?

• Work in partnership with the Associate Director of Philanthropy to spearhead a new philanthropic initiative to raise seven and eight figure gifts for children and young people's cancer research.

• Manage a portfolio of prospects with a primary focus on qualifying prospects and developing the engagement and stewardship of prospects through the full life cycle of giving and renewal. Ensure consistent pipeline movement and contribution of prospects both through their giving as well as helping to build CRUK's donor pipeline.

• Achieve agreed fundraising income and prospect cultivation targets and provide regular reporting and metrics against goals.

• Lead the development of the Wealth Advisors and Intermediaries strategy and engagement plan working in partnership with CRUK stakeholders.

• Partner with the CRUK Leadership, Chairman, Trustees, as well as scientists, Philanthropy colleagues to develop and implement strategies for gifts of £1M+; help the development and supporting the management of volunteer leaders committed to advancing CRUK philanthropy; guide discussions with senior leadership on prospect strategy;

• Own, develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders; including academics and researchers, institutional leaders, volunteer leaders, and writing briefings and coordinating engagement that will lead to gifts;

• Work closely with internal colleagues to coordinate engagement with CRUK funded scientists and leadership develop proposals and propositions.

Job Description

Catch22 are excited to be recruiting for a specialist Women & Girls Case worker for our new Home Office Funded County Lines Support and Rescue Service.

The Case Worker role will undertake 121 work with young people under 25yrs old and will specialise in working with female young people within the service.

County Lines Support Service A specialist support service for under 25’s and their families who are criminally exploited through county lines in London, the West Midlands, Merseyside and Greater Manchester.

Rescue Service a rescue service with out of hours capacity to facilitate the safe return home, at a critical teachable moment, of under 25’s from London, the West Midlands, Merseyside and Greater Manchester where they are identified outside of their home police force area in connection with county lines.

Some of your day-to-day tasks will be:

Provide one to one, end to end, appropriate support, and interventions to a pre-defined case load of female young people involved in County Lines activity (and their families where appropriate) who are referred by means of effective assessment, care planning and risk management
Act as the single point of contact and specialist in the region for women and girls involved in County Lines activity. Attend multi-agency meetings and engage with key stakeholders to raise awareness of the distinct needs and circumstances of women and girls and how the service can support them.  Act as point of contact in the region for our partners, providing gender based training, awareness and developing a differentiated offer to improve the impact and effectiveness of services for women and girls involved in County Lines Activity.
Proactively and continually assess and manage risk of caseload, using internal and external safeguarding procedures for escalation and where necessary and adapting case management frequency and methodology to reflect the individual needs and circumstances of young people.
To ensure that the diverse needs and aspirations of all groups of service users are considered in service planning and delivery and to enable all service users to fulfil their potential.
Liaise effectively with local partner organisations and other relevant agencies to ensure effective referrals, care and risk management as well as ease of transition and referral for young people and to promote the continued joint work of the service and other partners. Act as a sub-regional or district single point of contact where required.

This post will involve travel across the regional area, the ability be on call on a rota system and occasional evening and weekend working.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following:

A relevant qualification or equivalent experience in a related field such as youth work, community work, health & social care, or a similar discipline.

Experience working directly with young people (aged 8–25) and their families, particularly those identified as vulnerable or with complex needs.

A strong understanding of the unique challenges faced by young women and girls affected by exploitation and County Lines activity.

Proven experience of multi-agency working, ideally with Children’s Services, Youth Justice, or other statutory and voluntary organisations.

Knowledge of risk and vulnerability issues affecting young people, and the ability to assess and manage these risks appropriately.

Ability to deliver one-to-one and group interventions, and to adapt engagement strategies to meet individual needs.

Confident communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to maintain accurate records using data management systems.

Willingness to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as part of an on-call rota.

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
