The Net Zero Carbon Programme team is seeking a Programme Administrator who would play a vital role in providing administrative support, particularly the Energy Action Plans project.
The Energy Action Plans project provides fully subsidised energy audits to over 1000 of the highest emitting churches and church halls, plus a follow-up grant of £3k to enable the parish to implement some of the Quick Win measures identified in the audit.
This role involves supporting the team in executing a diverse and ambitious range of projects and collaborating closely with dioceses and parishes.
The post holder will hold key relationships with project leads and management teams within the Net Zero Carbon team. They will provide excellent communication and organisational skills across these teams as well as across our wider network of internal and external stakeholders.
The role will report directly to the Net Zero Carbon Programme Officer. The post holder will maintain strong lines of communication with the wider NZC Programme team to develop, support, and maintain robust administrative and operations processes across all Net Zero Carbon Programme projects.
- Administrative Support to Programme/Project Teams by providing support in arranging meetings using MS Teams and Zoom as required, coordinating meeting schedules and organising room bookings.
- Data and Record Keeping - Review filing systems, where appropriate making recommendations to Programme Officer/Project Managers for improvements to how records are organised. This includes being GDPR complaint.
- Correspondence and Communications - Draft and/or proofread correspondence materials prior to sending.
- Energy Audit Project - Act as the first point of contact for enquiries relating to Energy Action Plans project (scheduling audits and grant administration), dealing directly with them where appropriate or directing them to appropriate members of staff.
- This is a 12-month fixed-term home-based role with the expectation to work from the primary office location - Church House 1-2 days a month for face-to-face meetings when required.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be/have:
- Substantial hands-on administrative experience involving multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in developing, implementing and maintaining effective administrative systems and processes.
- Experience in administrative support within a programme context.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to use a range of tools for sharing key findings from data.
- Professional, cooperative and diplomatic manner, with the ability to work well both on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Extremely well organised with the ability to prioritise varied workloads, remain calm under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to develop good working relationships with staff at all levels and with diocesan officers.
- Relevant or transferable experience in project or grant administration.
- An understanding of the Christian faith and the structures and workings of the Church of England (Desirable).

Summary
- Act as a first point of contact for overall event management activities and undertake project planning programmes.
- Monitor and provide budget updates to the Head of Senior Leadership Development, ensuring expenditure is within budget.
- Responsible for setting up vendors through the procurement process.
- Liaising with freelancers and suppliers to ensure contracts are in place, invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner.
- Provide diary management support to the Head of Senior Leadership Development and programme leads to arrange meetings (booking internal and external meetings with Zoom/ Microsoft Teams/meeting rooms, administration support, minutes, agendas and papers).
- Coordinate the implementation, maintenance and reporting from the learning management system. This includes maintaining records of the people-related data and all module information on our online/learning platform and shared drive.
- The post holder is expected to work from Church House 1-2 days per week.
- The role requires the postholder to undertake travel, have overnight stays in venues across the country and on occasion work outside of normal office hours to support the planning and delivery of events.
Please note: This role is also suited for candidates who choose to work from home. If you opt to be a homeworker, you are responsible for your travel expenses to your primary/base location, as the role requires you to attend infrequent face-to-face meetings 1-2 days per month.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be/have:
- Experience in planning and organising activities and/or events which support project work, as well as contributing ideas to improve the efficiency of processes/work.

- Experience in designing e-learning content and virtual learning environments.

Role Overview
As a member of the Joint Leadership Team, the post-holder will contribute to the leadership, planning and delivery of cross-team projects, helping to influence and meet the charity’s strategic objectives. Specifically, they will lead projects and programmes to deliver improvements in quality and standards of health services for people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis. In doing so, they will work closely with not only the Director of Services & Evidence and Heald of Health Services, but also external stakeholders including health and social care organisations, academics, researchers and other charities. The post-holder will also be actively involved in leading, supporting and developing the Health Services team.
About You
Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have experience of delivering health service projects and programmes and have come from a health services or medical charity background. You will be adept at developing operational performance metrics, strategies and objectives and have a proven track record in developing strong working relationships with external stakeholders. Whilst not essential, experience of managing and leading a team would be beneficial, as would be an awareness and knowledge of the needs of people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis.

Our Location
We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for working from home, although there will be times when you will need to travel to events/conferences. You will be required to attend two Directorate days each year and occasional face-to-face meetings with your team or our partner agencies. In addition, the charity meets four times annually at its office in Hatfield (or a location in London) for its’ ‘All Staff Together’ days, at which attendance is mandatory.

Working directly to the Director for Climate Change and Evidence, the postholder will lead on and manage our existing large-scale data insights projects, including the Great Big Nature Survey (the largest UK-wide survey of nature values); oversee their analysis of internal data collected across the organisation; and undertake data analysis of their external impact, from brand awareness to their major public engagement programmes such as 30 Days’ Wild. In addition, the postholder will lead a new programme of work on how to better understand their impact, and support the coordination of data activities across relevant teams.

About the role:
This role is based in Rochdale Police station along with some hybrid working, you must be prepared to travel across the borough of Rochdale.
As a IDVA you will deliver specialist and enhanced support to victims/survivors who have experienced Domestic Violence Abuse. You will be responsible for providing high quality interventions through the development of individually tailored & risk assessed support and safety plans.
You will need:
- To conduct comprehensive needs and risk assessments and ensure each victim/survivor receives an individual tailored support package that fully meets their identified needs, including safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
- To Provide one to one support to victim/survivor who has been affected by domestic abuse.
- The ability to review the assessment of risk on an ongoing basis, ensuring appropriate and immediate action is taken in respect of any victim/survivor facing significant harm, making the necessary referrals to MARAC and local safeguarding processes as required given the legal framework relating to the protection of children and the policy and procedures of the Local Safeguarding Children's Board.
- To establish links with relevant statutory partners in Social Care, Education, Health, Police and Housing, with the intention of supporting children and young people who have been impacted by domestic abuse. Attend meetings as required.
- Ideally a background in Social Worker, Police or Domestic Abuse would be advantageous

The Programme Manager is an exciting and influential role at RCPCH Global, a specialist unit within the College, in which you will lead the management of our Early Child Development and Disability programme work in Lebanon and the wider Middle East region; you will also be responsible for supporting smaller programme development with our partner, the Paediatric Association of Sierra Leone. Based in our London office, you will oversee the implementation of the programmes, including the delivery of high-quality programme activities.
As Programme Manager, you will monitor and manage all financial and budgetary aspects of the programme in compliance with donor requirements and take the lead on all programme reporting to donors, maintaining and ensuring high-quality programme monitoring and evaluation processes are adhered to. You will also provide strategic/backstopping technical support on Maternal, Newborn and Child Health programme design, budget formulation, financial and activity reporting and M&E with the other members of the Global Team.
Crucially, you will be responsible for liaising with local programme counterparts and stakeholders in the field, which may include regular field visits. You will also take the lead on the recruitment and management of short- and/or long-term programme volunteer clinicians, as well as short-term advisory consultants, for the programme.
You will lead, with the Global Team members, on wider donor liaison, including development of fundraising strategies and target donor institutions, and you will help develop new programme grant agreements, as well as promoting RCPCH Global activities to external stakeholders.
Suitably qualified in international development, public health, international and global health, health systems strengthening and child health, or with equivalent work experience, you should have excellent project/programme management skills and have a background in a relevant international/development management or implementation role.
With demonstrable experience of designing, initiating and leading complex programme development processes, including with senior government counterparts, local partner organisations and international and multilateral donor agencies, you should have a significant understanding of budget management and financial reporting, including to bilateral and multilateral donors.
Previous experience of successfully managing large complex programmes, including supporting field-programme teams both remotely and in the field, within the international development and/or health sectors is essential, in particular with experience in working with Palestinian communities both in-situ in the West Bank and Gaza, and in other refugee camp environments as well as broader experience of working in developing countries is highly desirable.
Although based in London, this role may include some travel to Lebanon and other countries/regions as required.
RCPCH Global is a unit within RCPCH which designs and manages a range of international projects and programmes to improve neonatal, child and adolescent health, primarily in sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
