Team Leaders at the Centre are responsible for the day-to-day delivery by their respective team. This new role will contribute to and support the Delivery Manager to achieve the overall objective of the Centre, which is to deliver services that enable our clients community to thrive.
The Team Leader – General Social Prescribing will line manage the Social Prescribing Link Workers and Coordinator within Generalist Social Prescribing and also deliver frontline services and 1-2-1 support. The split between front-line delivery and management for this role will be agreed with the Delivery Manager but they expect it to be around 80%-line management and 20% delivery (as floating delivery support to the team). The role will oversee the delivery of the social prescribing service, supporting individuals in the team and providing a reflective space to discuss caseloads. It will also involve managing relationships with key stakeholders.
The Team Leader will promote a positive culture of collaboration and innovation amongst their direct reports and team and support the development of viable service propositions to reflect the needs of the community.

Our clients Social Prescribing service helps to strengthen personal and community resilience and reduce health inequalities by addressing the wider determinants of health, such as debt, poor housing and physical inactivity. The service aims to increase people’s connection with others and their local community and empower them to take control of their own health and wellbeing.
Their service provides:
• Rapid social prescribing: Urgent, one-off support often around isolation, food, money and medication. People are contacted within two day
• General social prescribing: Longer term emotional and practical support. People are contacted within two weeks and offered three to six sessions to explore challenges, set goals and offered a coaching style of support
• Social welfare advice social prescribing: Specialist support delivered by a qualified social welfare advisor to address housing and benefit needs.
• Mental Health Community Connectors: Supporting people with serious mental illness (SMI) to achieve better mental health and wellbeing, increasing independence and reducing reliance on services.

Role Overview:
We are recruiting to fill Senior Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser role at our London office. The Senior Trusts and Philanthropy Fundraiser is an integral member of a proactive and dedicated relationship fundraising team of three, managing current donors, building new relationships and communicating the great impact the charity has with vulnerable young people.
The appointed post holder will help to deliver a brand-new trusts and philanthropy strategy which is taking shape now. This is a fantastic opportunity to get out, meet donors and work with funders of all sizes to help Depaul UK reach its ambitions.
Key deliverables
- Making successful funding approaches to trusts and major donors in line with the charity’s needs
- Responsibility for small trusts and mid-value donors

- Researching new funding opportunities
- Leading and participating in meetings and project visits with donors
- Keeping accurate records on Raiser’s Edge database.

What We Are Looking For – Person Specification:
- Experience of raising funds from trusts and/or major donors
- Experience of securing single gifts over £25,000 (desirable)
- Working to team targets in excess of £500,000 (desirable)
- Proven experience of a high standard of bid writing
- Experience of reporting effectively to trust and/or major donors against agreed outcomes
- Understanding of the principles and processes of high value fundraising

Location: Covent Garden, London
Hours: 34 hours per week (early finish on Fridays)
Contract: 12 month Fixed Term Contract; probationary period of 6 months
Hybrid: Work from home up to two days per week (after completion of induction)
Salary: Circa £21,573 - £23,477 (dependent upon experience)

Main responsibilities
- Accurately processing and inputting Gift Aid envelopes (GAEs)/donations and claiming the valid Gift Aid tax relief.
- Dealing with telephone/reception queries.
- Responding to relief chest holder queries.
- Image/data capturing on to FileDirector and other Electronic Document Records Management.
- Maintaining records and archiving in line with Data Protection Act and department policies
- Banking cheques and cash
- Assisting with team administration tasks including stationery monitoring and ordering
Person specification
Essential
- Excellent data input skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail

- MS Office Suite with intermediate standard of Word and Excel

Our Programmes and Client Involvement team work with a wide range of people across our regions, from those living in our supported accommodation services or staying in the homes of volunteers on Nightstop, to those accessing family support services, outreach activities or in schools. We are looking for someone to work with a clear strategy and then develop, grow and successfully manage our Youth Advisory (YAG) and Alumni groups, as well as lead the engagement of families / support networks. The ideal candidate is someone who will ensure interns accessing the DFN Project SEARCH model are at the heart of decision making and who will champion their rights and their participation. We are looking for someone who has a strong understanding of advocacy and the rights and entitlements of young adults with special educational needs and disabilities.
We are in our third year of running our YAG and yet to launch our Alumni offer. This role will therefore involve leading the implementation, development, and growth of the membership of both DFN Project SEARCH YAG and Alumni group. This will include planning and facilitating a programme of activities throughout the year for YAG and Alumni members, which we hope will be a mix of in person and online events.
This post holder will also provide ongoing training to YAG, Alumni and parent/carer members and facilitate their participation in our advocacy work. There will also be opportunities to deliver training to our central and partner teams alongside members of these groups
