About the Service

This is a pilot working as a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) with housing teams and Drug and Alcohol Services across District and Borough councils. These teams will be working with individuals who are presenting as homeless and have a number of Complex Needs.

Purpose of Post

Providing advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients who are experiencing mental ill health or need support with their mental wellbeing. These will be clients who are presenting to District and Borough councils as homeless and need intervention and support with their mental health and remain a source of independent support for all clients. Ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly and that a person centred recovery orientated and trauma informed approach is embedded approach in all aspects of the roles.

Service Objectives

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental ill health.
• To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental ill health in, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided by Herts Mind Network and other third sector and statutory providers.
• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• To reduce the use of police, ASB, tenancy enforcement, housing needs and environmental health services by clients whose primary need is related to mental ill health.
• To reduce the use of crisis services by people experiencing mental ill health without positive outcomes for the individual.
• To provide an assertive outreach approach for clients who are in crisis and/ or those that may have complex or multiple needs.
• To work collaboratively within an MDT consisting of CGL, District and Borough councils, housing teams and other professionals.

This work will be underpinned and supported through the development of a move on programme. As the Engagement Events Lead, you will oversee the planning, project management, and delivery of a diverse portfolio of bespoke events across the organisation. These events, ranging from dinners and receptions to webinars and VIP tours, will serve to maximize donor cultivation and stewardship opportunities. With a keen attention to detail, you will prepare and maintain project plans for each event, ensuring that deadlines are met, and budgets are adhered to while providing regular updates to stakeholders.

Working closely with colleagues across fundraising, particularly with the High Value Fundraising teams, you will build strong working relationships to ensure the successful delivery of events. This entails leading project group meetings, responding to inquiries from various stakeholders, and advocating best practices in event management. Additionally, you will supervise staff and volunteers at events and maintain excellent relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to facilitate effective collaboration throughout the event process.

To be considered, you will bring experience of delivering successful event/project management in a fundraising environment and will have planned and delivered a portfolio of events/projects to meet targets, within budget. You will also have a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with a variety of stakeholders from diverse backgrounds

About the role?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join our team covering North Ayrshire and surrounding area.  You will be a passionate supporter of quality driven, outcome centric, advocacy provision and in coaching others to achieve the exacting standards of excellence in advocacy required to support our clients.

Your role will require you to travel across the area to meet with your colleagues and be home based for administration; therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection is essential.

About you

We are looking for a strong and resilient leader with experience of managing a team. Desirably you will have worked or volunteered in a welfare, supporting role, or caring for adults or young people who have support needs.

You will be committed to driving high performance and practice standards by actively engaging with our Practice Management team to interpret data. Thereby, making informed decisions and ensuring that the highest standards of advocacy are achieved.

You will ensure a culture of learning and continuous development through a mix of team and supervision meetings, and reflective practice.

You will be experienced in managing risks relating to the safety and wellbeing of staff members and the safeguarding of service users.

You will be experienced in communicating with commissioners and writing up reports to demonstrate all performance measures.

How will you make a difference?

You will be responsible for ensuring your team delivery of the highest standards of advocacy, ensuring that all contact with clients is outcome driven.

You will support your team and ensure that they have the necessary skills to make a difference in peoples lives on a daily basis.  Assisting them to grow in confidence and empowering them to assist those in need of support.

You will work resourcefully and collaboratively with people across the organisation to assist you and your team, fostering a learning culture where all views are respected.
