The role is a hybrid working role based at our London office close to Old Street tube station with travel throughout London as required.

About the Role
You will:
Effectively manage and provide a pro-active, high quality frontline service to male victims of domestic abuse. You will work within a multi-agency framework consisting of MARAC and multi-agency partners when required. This role requires a specialist understanding of the barriers faced by male victims of domestic abuse and harmful practices. We particularly welcome applicants who are male, as they are under-represented in the provision of support to domestic abuse victim survivors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage and develop a high quality, innovative and pro-active domestic abuse service for victims and their children, including those at highest risk
- Ensure that the service prioritises the safety, security and dignity of service users and their children
- Be the lead in crisis situations and provide advice and guidance on safeguarding issues and information sharing concerns.
- The role will work collaboratively with the Management team, in order to achieve the implementation of the business plan and the development of the service to maximise positive outcomes for clients.
- Manage a small team, conducting supervision and case reviews to ensure safe practice.
- Carry a caseload, supporting male domestic abuse victim/survivors to increase their safety.
- Develop relationships with partner agencies in this area.
About You:
Ideally, you will have knowledge of migration and asylum routes and the procedures for applying for refugee/asylum status in the UK, legal remedies for domestic abuse victims and have experience of working with housing, homelessness, drug, alcohol, mental health issues and have an understanding of the benefit system.
You will need:
- Experience of supporting people in vulnerable situations, having worked with victims of domestic violence & abuse.
- Knowledge of safeguarding issues, legal responsibilities and GDPR & data protection regulations.
- Have strong crisis management skills to support staff dealing with stressful and difficult situations
- Experience of managing a team delivering front line support to victims or domestic abuse or vulnerable people to a high standard
- A passion for working with male victim/survivors
- Experience of working with housing agencies or in a housing setting is advantageous

About the Role:
As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will provide pro-active, high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic abuse through on-going risk assessment, providing individual safety planning, trauma-informed support, guidance, information, and advocacy and enabling victim/survivors to access the services they need in the aftermath of the abuse and trauma they have experienced.
You may work within a Hospital Trust's Safeguarding Team to support both patients and staff in an Acute Hospital setting, who have experienced Domestic Abuse. You will make initial contact with victims of domestic abuse, explaining our services and assessing the impact of crime, or receive referrals from colleagues, in order to provide on-going support and case management.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out comprehensive risk assessments and safety planning, using tools such as DASH
- Advocate on behalf of survivors with statutory and voluntary agencies, including police, social care, housing, health, and legal services
- Represent and support clients through the MARAC process, ensuring risks and actions are clearly communicated and followed up
- Support survivors to understand their options around criminal justice, civil remedies, housing, and welfare

About the role
The Housing IDVA (Multiple Compound Needs) provides specialist domestic abuse advocacy to LGBT adults (18 ) who are at high risk of harm, are experiencing housing insecurity or homelessness, and are also facing multiple compound needs that create significant barriers to safety, stability and access to services.
This role is delivered as part of Galop’s commitment under the London Whole Housing Services Partnership (LWSHP) and focuses on supporting survivors whose experiences sit at the intersection of domestic abuse, housing need, and multiple disadvantage.
You will hold a high complexity caseload (approximately 15 clients) and provide time limited, consent based advocacy, typically over 3-6 months, with flexibility where risk or complexity requires longer involvement. The role involves working with survivors who may be transient across local authorities and who may face significant barriers to engagement due to past trauma, discrimination, or current circumstances.
The role sits within Galop’s Advocacy and Support team and works closely with colleagues and partner agencies across domestic abuse, housing and multiple-needs systems to support coordinated, trauma-informed responses.

Survivors in Transition has supported survivors of sexual violence and abuse for over a decade. We provide specialist recovery services across the East of England, working alongside statutory and voluntary partners to ensure survivors receive safe, compassionate and effective support.
We are looking for a Sexual Violence Caseworker / Practitioner to join our Navigation and Engagement Service.
This role sits at the front door of our service, supporting adult survivors of sexual violence and historic child sexual abuse as they take their first steps towards recovery.

About the role:
As an IDVA you will:-
- Ensure that male survivors' safety and housing needs are met by supporting survivors to access safe accommodation
- Provide a pro-active, high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic abuse through on-going risk assessment, individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
- Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse
- Promote the service and raising awareness of issues arising, minimising barriers and improving access to support
You will need:
- Experience of providing support those affected by domestic abuse
- An understanding of the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
- Knowledge of safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
- A good understanding of Housing Law to be able to provide up to date advice and information on housing related needs
- Strong communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals.

- Strong crisis management skills and the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations.

In the role of Sexual Violence Navigator, you will provide the first response which supports survivors to make informed decisions about the next steps on their recovery journey.
