About the role:
The role is based in our Wakefield office.
As an Antisocial Behaviour Champion you will be providing tailored one-to-one, specialist support to vulnerable and persistently targeted victims of antisocial behaviour.
You will need to be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with people from all areas of the community and be able to assist with the monitoring, evaluation, and administration of written statistical reports on the project for management and our external funders.
You must have extensive experience of planning and delivering caseloads, be able to provide co-ordinated, tailored support to meet the needs of high risk, vulnerable and repeat victims of ASB. You will be required to conduct an impact and need/risk assessment with those victims meeting the project criteria.
Good IT skills, knowledge of criminal justice issues, knowledge of ASB legislation to protect victims of ASB are also desired requirements.

About the role:
This role is based in Shipley with travel across West Yorkshire a requirement of the role.
As an ISVA your primary role will be to provide a pro-active service for victims of sexual violence both within and outside of the criminal justice system. You will carry our risk assessments, support clients in accessing their rights, along with health and other services they may require. You will keep victims informed of case progress and provide support through the criminal justice system. You will have a focus on ethnic minority and diverse communities across the district.
You will be required to attend relevant meetings and will provide regular reports to your line manager and also undertake talks and presentations to local groups and agencies on the work of Victim Support, developing networks and partnerships and increasing the role of the service in the community.
You should have experience of planning and delivering caseloads, with strong crisis management skills and an understanding of the needs of victims experiencing sexual violence. You will have an approved and accredited ISVA qualification or a willingness to undertake the ISVA qualification.
Good IT skills, knowledge of criminal justice issues and an understanding of the impact a court appearance can have on are also essential.
You will be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with people from all areas of the community and be able to assist with the monitoring, evaluation and administration of written statistical reports on the project management for our external funders.

About the role:
This role is home based (Homeworking allowance paid & London Weighting allowance where applicable).
As an iMatter Initial Response Officer, you will be making contact with victims of domestic abuse via the telephone to complete risk assessments. The Initial Response team is responsible for assessing the needs/risks for women referred onto the iMatter Programme, which is an online programme for female victims of domestic abuse. You will be required to manage your own caseload and offer support and advice to victims alongside completing risk assessments.
You will need:
As an Initial Response Officer you will need to be resilient, confident supporting people by telephone, happy to work as part of a team, and willing to constantly learn and adapt to new situations. You will enjoy being part of a busy working environment and be able to communicate effectively with victims of domestic abuse in a professional and supportive manner. You will have strong customer service ethics and be competent in the use of IT skills. Training will be provided in the use of our Case Management System.
You will need to have the ability to prioritise work and deal with competing demands in an organised and methodical manner. About the role:
The post is full time, Mon-Fri 9-5 although there will be a need for flexibility. The post is initially offered fixed term until March 2023 but may be extended depending on funding. This post is home-based but some travel around the Cumbria area may be required.

Read moreRFEA are looking for a highly motivated self-starter with knowledge of the Armed Forces and Ex-Services charity network and the ability to understand the challenges more vulnerable veterans must overcome, particularly those who have entered the Criminal Justice System. This person will be home based (ideally in the North Yorkshire and North East area) travelling extensively around the region to provide face to face support to veterans within their home locations and partner organisations premises.
The successful applicant for this role will have a track record of delivering high quality results, with a strong beneficiary focus and be capable of working independently to targets and deadlines. Strong communication, IT and organisational skills are essential along with mentoring and coaching. Experience & knowledge of the criminal justice system, local government agencies and the ability to develop a network of contacts are also required, along with a clean driving licence.
Specific Responsibilities
Engagement
- Support the National Nova Manager to create and maintain strong working relationships with referring organisations in North Yorkshire and North East Area, including the Police and NHS Liaison and Diversion.
- Receive details of referrals from the Nova Client Advisors, or directly. If referrals are received directly share information with the Nova Client Advisors.
- Engage with veterans face-to-face for the initial visit and as necessary throughout their engagement with Project Nova, following the Case Management Guidance, RFEA Policies and the Project Nova Procedures.
- Register each Nova Veteran’s details on the CRM and obtain consent to share their data with organisations in the support network and any further information required by the Project Nova registration.
- Undertake a comprehensive needs assessment with each Nova Veteran.
Case Management
- Provide emotional support to veterans through regular contact whilst they are engaged with Project Nova.
- Establish a care coordination plan with each Nova Veteran that provides for support from within RFEA and Walking with the Wounded and with the organisations in the Nova area support Network.
- Work with families to ensure their effective participation in the Criminal Justice System, with other statutory services and with the support network.
- Keep clear records for each case on the CRM.
- Record the veterans journey on Outcome Star
- Ensure confidentiality, the family is a separate case to the veteran, who is also supported by Project Nova.
- When the Nova Veteran is ready, develop their employability and suitable opportunities for employment either, directly using RFEA employability tools and working with local employers or, through the wider RFEA or Walking With The Wounded.
- Project Nova is an active intervention. Close cases once the progress of Nova Veterans has reached its full potential, identifying long term social contact, formal or informal, in every case.

Essential Competencies
- Highly motivated and independent, capable of working remotely across a wide geographical area.

IRC UK
IRC UK were established in London in 1997 to support the organisation’s global activities and particularly to diversify its donor base and be able to better advocate with European policy-makers on behalf of the people we serve. The Purpose of the Role
The Client and Community Outreach Officer will serve as a navigator for new arrivals from Ukraine with the goal of providing accurate information and referral sources to support refugees in attaining self-reliance. You will be the main point of contact for refugee clients enrolled in the project, delivering one on one and group activities.
Key Working Relationships:
Position reports to Head of UK Programmes. Position works closely with the Integration Officers and Refugee Employment Specialist.
Key Accountabilities
- Facilitate Orientation for Newcomers group sessions virtually and in person on everyday life in the UK for new arrivals predominately from Ukraine;
- Outreach, recruit, screen and enroll participants for project activities including the completion of individual integration self-sufficiency plans through referral and follow up with local partner staff;
- Provide regular client one on one coaching, ensure client interaction is documented and conduct follow up with clients by phone and in person;
- Research, identify and outreach to services and resources that enable clients to meet their short and long-term goals and facilitate external referrals;
- Effectively collaborate and develop relationships with external partner organisations such as local council staff, charities and diaspora groups, including attending coordination meetings responding to the needs of Ukrainian arrivals;
- Input client information in database and assist with tracking and reporting and administering assessments;
- Regularly gather client and partner feedback in order to assess programming needs and responsiveness through focus groups, key informants, surveys, etc.
- Assist with project logistics, such as setting up the training rooms or events, preparing participant materials.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
- Minimum two years related professional experience working with refugees, migrants or other vulnerable populations;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills: the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, partners and clients in English and Ukrainian and/or Russian language;

Have you worked on an offender-led support project, had personal experience of the criminal justice system, or served a prison sentence?
If so, join St Giles Trust as a Women’s Specialist Caseworker where you will utilise your expertise on Footsteps, a holistic, person-centred support service at St Giles Trust. Footsteps offers gender and trauma-informed support to vulnerable women who have been involved in the criminal justice system and are returning to Yorkshire, both via intensive one-to-one casework and a weekly women’s support group.

About this exciting opportunity
As our Women’s Specialist Caseworker, you will focus on providing a comprehensive and holistic assessment, advice, referral and support service to women and exploring innovative and effective methods of case working which will reduce the risk of them offending. This will involve producing support plans and risk management plans based on assessments, promoting inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process, and including appropriate agencies in the delivery of the service.
We will also count on you to undertake pre-release visits to service users (in prison where possible) in order to identify suitable project service users and deliver an outreach service that includes meeting service users at the prison gates, courts, police custody or from transport hubs – providing a practical service that will include setting up access to social and housing support, benefits, registering with GPs/Dentists and attending appointments.
What we are looking for
- Experience of providing support, advice and advocacy and the ability to assess each client’s needs
- Experience of engaging successfully with challenging people, for example people who have complex needs, people who are reluctant to discuss their needs, and people who are angry and confused
- A relevant qualification such as Advice and Guidance Level 3 or equivalent
- An understanding of the need to use support plans
- Strong IT, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- The ability to use and develop monitoring systems to record all aspects of the project
- A full UK Driving License with access to a vehicle

About this exciting opportunity
Our successful candidates will work closely with a caseload of clients to produce individual action plans that support the individual to overcome barriers to social inclusion and employment, including housing, training, employment and debt. You will also coordinate a range of planned community assessments and interventions that keep clients engaged and motivated, plus deliver effective small group workshops and short courses.
Identifying and establishing progression routes into further learning, work placement and employment opportunities and supporting clients to access them is a vital element of the role, as is providing regular updates of your clients’ progress.
To secure this pivotal role, you must have:
• An Advice and Guidance qualification, or equivalent, to at least Level 3
• Excellent case-management skills & proficient with inputting on data systems.
• An ability to work to key set targets, whilst remaining calm under pressure.
• A proven track record of successfully working with unemployed people and assessing their needs, plus supporting them to make progress towards, or into, employment
• A strong understanding of the issues faced by unemployed people with multiple barriers to employment
• The ability to deliver tailored group workshops
• Strong experience of engaging successfully with employers and training providers
• Calm, flexible and adaptable, you must be an impressive communicator, both verbal and written

The Refugee Council is one of the leading organisations in the UK working with asylum seekers and refugees. Our operational teams based in various locations in England provide advice and assistance across a wide range of issues, including helping asylum seekers through the complexities of the asylum system, addressing issues of destitution and assisting refugees and people seeking asylum to access key services including housing, welfare benefits, health, education and employment. Context and Purpose of the Job
The resettlement team provides advice and support for resettled refugees to help them access services and mainstream provision, and establish community links. Working closely with local stakeholders and in partnership with other voluntary sector agencies running similar services across the UK, the Refugee Council resettlement team promotes both the integration and independence of this group.
The Refugee Council has agreed to work in partnership with Migration Yorkshire and Local Authorities across Yorkshire and Humberside to deliver the regional Resettlement programmes.
We will be working with Ukraine nationals who have arrived under the Homes for Ukraine programme and their hosts, who provide accommodation for a minimum of 6 months across the area. The resettlement area team will provide integration support for 12 months, including welfare benefits, health, employment, housing advice, safeguarding, mediation and community links.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To provide a safe and welcoming environment for Ukrainian refugees ensuring that standards are maintained, monitored and that the service meets all statutory and other requirements.
- To assess need for interpretation, taking into consideration complexity of information or advice.
- To assist refugees who may be in a confused or distressed state in understanding systems in the UK and making appropriate referrals to health and/or mental health support.
- To provide advice and support to refugees on statutory, voluntary and mainstream services, Welfare benefits, education (including ESOL), health services, housing and employment.

About this pivotal role
You will provide a tailored one to one high-level service of engagement, advocacy and support. - Drive, enthusiasm and determination to lead the team in order to deliver targets
