One25 is a Bristol-based charity, specialising in supporting women to break free from street sex-work, addiction and other life-controlling issues and build new, independent lives. We provide night outreach (7 sessions weekly), a Health Hub and casework, giving person-centred support and advocacy to around 240 women each year.
One25’s outreach service is often how women first make contact with us, meeting us on our fully equipped outreach van. Three volunteers, one an experienced team leader, go out on the van at night and meet women’s basic needs by providing nutritious food, first aid, warm clothing, condoms, safety alarms etc. They provide the chance to talk and get advice in a safe space and encourage women to get more in-depth help by visiting our drop-in or seeing a caseworker.
We are looking for volunteers who are comfortable driving an Iveco Daily (manual) to deliver our evening outreach. This volunteer will also be responsible for taking case notes for the team and looking after the safety of the vehicle. The volunteer will also be responsible for speaking with the women and best practice/trauma informed.
It is an Occupational Requirement that applications for this post are open to women only, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1, of the Equality Act 2010. Enhanced DBS disclosure will be required.
Availability and commitments needed:
• Shifts: Monday-Thursday and Sunday nights from 8.45pm-12pm, Friday and Saturday nights 8.45pm-1.30am all year round.
• Available to commit 2 evenings per month, for at least a year
• To successfully complete a driving assessment during interview stage and when One25 gets its electric van (date tbc)
• To complete a Volunteer Induction, Safeguarding and Boundaries training (date tbc – online in evening)
• To complete the Volunteer Experience survey every 6 months
• Able to travel to and from St Pauls, Bristol after shift
• Attend probation review after 10 shifts and if requested external support (which we would fund).

Position: Trustee
Location: Trustee Board meetings and many of our charity’s activities take place in Dereham. In addition, some work may be required remotely using Zoom/ Teams, or in other parts of Norfolk from time to time.

Responsibilities
This role is suited to candidates who can demonstrate professional or skills-based knowledge of benefit to the charity. We would particularly welcome applications from people with experience in the third sector, PR, fundraising, governance, risk management, management and law, and accountancy.

We will customise a training and familiarisation package for the successful candidate based on prior knowledge and experience.

TST is in the unique position of having member agencies that are working with all victims and survivors of sexual violence and sexual abuse. TST is an independent inspection body for our UKAS accredited service standards for specialist sexual violence organisations.
We provide an accredited Diploma for Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVAs) and CPD accredited workshops. We have also established a quality mark for educational establishments and corporate organisations, our Trauma Informed Educator and Trauma Informed Employer Quality Marks (TIE).

This volunteer role involves being available for a mix of weekly drop-in IT sessions in which you will provide ‘floating support’ as well as pre-arranged one-to-one sessions in order to help clients complete more specific tasks relevant to them.

How does this role make a difference?
All of life’s activities - including job seeking, accessing and managing benefits and housing - take place online. Clients without IT skills are hugely disadvantaged. This role provides clients with support, helping them to overcome initial fears or learning barriers. With increasing confidence, they will be able to access the internet independently.
Who will you be helping?
Users are adults from diverse backgrounds and can range from those who are complete computer beginners, learning the basics of IT, to those needing access to the resource for learning, job search or managing household finances. The service helps clients seeking to address digital skills gaps and improve their confidence in order to access the internet.
What will you be doing?
- Meeting clients and carrying out weekly, one-to-one coaching sessions
- For the remaining time, offering ‘floating support’ to other clients, such as completing searches on the internet, formatting documents and using email
· Helping new clients to complete an IT Initial Basic Skills Assessment
What are we looking for?
- Although advanced technical skills are not required, a good understanding of MS Office (Word and Excel mostly) and a breadth of experience in using the internet are essential in order to coach and help vulnerable clients develop their skills.
- The confidence and willingness to work closely with clients and actively approach them where required.
· You have some experience assisting or coaching others.
· You are patient, a good listener and have the ability to motivate others.
· You are available for a period of at least six months to give you time to develop a rapport and fulfil learning objectives with the clients.
What is the time commitment?
We are looking to have open access sessions for clients twice a week, days will depend on your availability. one-to-one sessions can be arranged to fit with these days.

We are looking for a friendly face to help staff the Yeldall Manor reception desk for a few hours each week.
The role entails being the first point of contact for telephone callers, visitors and residents, welcoming and redirecting their queries/calls as appropriate. You will be comfortable using a computer in order to send emails, access the diary and assist with basic admin tasks, although there may also be times with less to do.
The role includes a lot of client contact, so you will have daily contact with those men whom you are helping. They inspire and motivate us just as much as we seek to encourage and support them. Following the decision by the Boards of all 28 London Citizens Advice charities to create a new and consortium, London Citizens Advice are seeking Trustees.
For the past two years London Citizens Advice has worked as an immensely successful informal coalition. On 27 February 2024 the Boards of the 28 London Citizens Advice charities approved the decision to transfer to a legal entity including registration with regulatory bodies and the draft Articles of the new charity.
We are looking for energetic, talented and committed individuals to join us as trustees.
The new charity will have up to twelve trustees. Five will be member trustees (one local citizens advice trustee for a London region), four independent trustees including the Chair of Trustees, and up to three co-opted trustees.
London Citizens Advice is a membership consortium of 28 Citizens Advice charities delivering advice services across London. Each of our members is a member of the national Citizens Advice network of around 250 charities. When we become legally constituted, we will be a consortium member of the Citizens Advice network.

Restore has been supporting individuals across Oxfordshire since 1977. Members can attend recovery groups weekly for up to two years and receive one-to-one coaching. People are supported towards their own mental health recovery goals, such as moving-on to employment, volunteering or training. Restore is also home to the Oxfordshire Recovery College for therapeutic peer learning, and Restore are expert providers of formal mental health training.
Restore benefits thousands of people each year, directly and indirectly. 5,600 attendances at recovery group sessions with 510 individuals benefitting. Hundreds of individuals receive coaching from specialists and around 1,000 are trained in Mental Health First Aid.

What will you be doing?
Our trustees work effectively together to hold Restore “In Trust” for those who it is intended to benefit. Trustees play a critical role at Restore as they are the people who make sure the charity does what it says it will.
There are five main things that trustees are responsible for:
- Ensuring that Restore has a clear vision, mission and strategic direction and is focussed on achieving these
- Being responsible, with the other trustees, for the performance of Restore and its culture
- Ensuring that Restore complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
- Being guardians of Restore’s assets, taking due care over their security and proper application
- Ensuring that Restore’s governance is of the highest possible standard

Time Commitment
You’ll need to be able to:
- Attend board meetings once per quarter from 4:30pm, which rarely exceed two and a half hours.
- Attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM) once per year.
- Join one of our subcommittees, linked to your skill set, in order to get a proper feel for what is going on and contribute to discussion and decision-making.
- Get involved in other activities depending on your skills/interests/preferences.
- Make visits to our recovery groups and head office teams to ensure we all stay close to the services we are providing
- Correspond by email to discuss items and make decisions between meetings.
Our meetings are currently hybrid, where attendance can be in person or online. We are aware that people who are working full-time or have family/other responsibilities may not always be able to travel to the meetings in person. It is important that Trustees are able to visit services, attend at least some meetings in person and have a connection with the community to which we deliver services. With this in mind, it’s unlikely that you will be based outside of Oxfordshire and its surrounding counties.
Trustees are appointed (at the November AGM) for a three-year term at a time which can be extended twice, meaning a maximum of nine years.
Specialist skills
We are particularly keen to talk to people with the following specialist skills:
- Property/architecture/planning/surveying/large building project experience
- Clinical expertise in mental health
- Public sector/health sector experience

We are Knottingley Foodbank, providing emergency food and compassionate, practical support to people in crisis. Since 2013 we have operated in the Knottingley area and are currently based at Ropewalk Methodist Church, providing 1,714 three-day emergency food supplies to people in crisis last year. Our foodbank is a project founded by local churches and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in our local area.
As a Trustee you will play a vital role by ensuring that we are meeting the demand for our services, providing help and support to people in crisis in the local community, as well as providing strategic direction for the charity.
Trustees have collective responsibility for the governance of the organisation and for all decisions made by the Board. They set the strategic direction for the organisation, ensuring alignment to our values, and are responsible for setting organisational policy, defining goals, agreeing the financial plan, evaluating performance, and ensuring that strong relationships are maintained between the Trustees and the Senior Leadership Group.
About you:
Knottingley Foodbank are looking for people who want to help their local community and work towards the eradication of food poverty whilst support the food bank to continue to provide emergency food to people who find themselves in crisis. We are seeking to recruit Trustees with an interest in helping others, who are willing to uphold the food bank’s values, and who can bring life experience to the board of trustees.Our ideal candidates would demonstrate a:
- Knowledge of and commitment to the work of Knottingley Foodbank.
- Willingness to actively participate in discussions concerning needs of the foodbank’s beneficiaries, staff, and the trustee board.
- Willingness to act in the best interest of the charity.
- Sound, independent judgement and ability to think creatively.
- Working effectively as a team member and demonstrating a willingness to learn and develop.
The food bank would particularly welcome applications from those with experience in one (or more) of the following areas:

- Fundraising in a charity through voluntary donations or commercial income.
You don’t need to have been a Trustee before, but you do need to be willing to do some training to help you understand the role and the responsibilities that come with it.

Expenses
You won’t get paid for your time, but we’ll make sure you aren’t out of pocket by covering the cost of your travel to meetings, childcare or other care if you need it, and a range of other expenses you might have while doing the role. We’ll book and/or pay for these in advance if you prefer.

If you accept, we’ll take up your references, do a DBS check and confirm your eligibility to act as a Trustee. If that’s all ok, you’re in! We’ll introduce you to the rest of the Trustees and get started with your induction.
