Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Floating Support Team Manager to oversee a new service aimed at providing essential warp-around support to vulnerable residents in the Borough of Hounslow. This temporary role offers a unique opportunity to lead a team of 20 staff members with the assistance of two team leaders and another manager as their sister project. Delivering crucial assistance to individuals striving for independent living.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all team activities to ensure adherence to standards and objectives.
- Provide skilled leadership and management within a complex and challenging environment.
- Contribute to and implement the team's objectives, work plans, and performance targets.
- Improve service effectiveness through high-quality outcome-focused support.
- Maximise the contribution of team members to overall organisational effectiveness.
- Ensure adherence to financial procedures and controls.
- Manage and motivate employees, trainees, students, and volunteers, including conducting supervisions and appraisals.
- Support project and support workers in key-work, case recording, face-to-face work, group work, advice giving, and advocacy.

The Service:

Support will be flexibly based operating out of a central Bromley office but delivered at various venues across the borough. Purpose of Post

Main Duties include:

- Lead and manage the Direct Payment Support Service across Richmond and Wandsworth Boroughs through an experienced DP Project Manager.
- Provide support to the DP Project Manager to resolve complex DP HR management issues around the area of employment law.
- Support the Project Manager in their work with the local authority to set targets for the project, monitor performance against these targets and identify and resolve any issues that arise.
- Report as required to the commissioners and the Ruils Board of trustees
- Work with the DP Project Manager and the CEO on new DP projects and funding applications as required.
CILS, Pathways and Counselling Teams
- Lead and manage the delivery of the Community activity, Befriending, Pathways and Counselling services.
- Work with the CILS partners to ensure that the service is meeting Local Authority targets
- Report as required to the commissioners and the Ruils Board of trustees
- Responsible for ensuring active promotion of the services to potential and existing clients and stakeholders and to ensure representation of Ruils at networking events.
- Work with the CEO and Fundraising Manager to ensure projects are fully funded and demand is well managed.

Here at Peabody, we have an opportunity for a Team Manager (Young Persons Service) on a permanent basis for two new Ofsted Registered Supported Housing Schemes in Lambeth, due to open in June 2024.
You, as the Team Manager will support a team of Housing Support Workers to support our young customers to remain in their home and take an active part in the community. Some of the things you would be responsible for as a Community Manager:

- Lead and implement a culture which provides confidentiality, promotes professional boundaries, protects data, and safeguards Companions, Volunteers and staff.

About the role:
You will be support victims of ASB, working with a multitude of partners across all local authority areas to ensure their expectations of services are clear and their personal needs are met. You will work with both adults and young people & work closely with partners. Ultimately, you will help them cope, recover and move forward from their experiences.
You will provide high quality support to all victims of Anti-Social Behaviour managing a caseload and offering support over the telephone and in person, including home visits. You will assess the victims needs and provide emotional support, advocacy and practical help.
You will also mentor and be responsible for volunteers who will assist you with your caseload and support lower risk victims.
You will work closely with the local Council(s) ASB team and environmental health department, police, housing and other agencies to achieve positive outcomes for victims, as well as a wide variety of people including people with additional vulnerabilities and repeat victims.
You will need to work well in a multi-agency environment, be dynamic, organised and flexible in how you work and support our clients.

About the role:
This role is based in our office at Whitecross Studio's, 50 Banner Street, London, with flexibility of hybrid working. The role requires travelling to other VS offices across London.
As a Senior Children and Young Persons Caseworker, you will be required to:
- Conduct risk assessment to ensure each CYP receives a tailored support that meets their needs, including safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support

CVAA UK is a membership organisation supporting not-for-profit organisations across the UK who specialise in adoption services. Over 3000 children in the UK need adoption each year because they cannot remain at home or with family members. The CVAA Practice Programme delivers 30 or more online courses each year to those working in the sector, primarily social workers. Due to a restructure of the team, we are now looking for a Training Manager who can oversee the delivery of the programme from mid to late July 2024. Initially fixed term, it is anticipated that this post will become permanent.
The Training Manager will work with the Head of Practice Development and the Programme Administrator to ensure that the courses are full, delivered effectively and evaluated. Part of the role will also be to source new trainers and support the creation of the programme into 2025.
The CVAA team work remotely across the UK so location of the postholder is not a barrier to recruitment as long as long as they can travel occasionally and come into London for team days. The team is small, diverse and dynamic. Experience of project management or delivery of training or events is more important than knowledge of adoption or children's social care. It’s one of our range of free Support Services that work with adults, young people, and/or families living with M.E. We support colleagues across the team to take part in and share reflective practice, self-care, peer-support and training.
Our Adults Advocacy service offers non-statutory, single-issue, instructed advocacy for adults with a confirmed diagnosis of M.E. We encourage self-advocacy where possible, though many of our clients are too severely affected by M.E. to be able to take undertake this.
As an Adults Advocate, you will manage a caseload of clients, as well as inputting and contributing to the triage process along with your Advocacy colleagues. You will meet with clients by phone, email, Zoom and/or SMS; we can also facilitate communication by post if this is required. We are not able to offer home visits or face to face meetings.
