We are looking for a confident and motivated Design and Marketing Assistant to join TACT’s Marketing and Communications team, who are based in the West Midlands.

Your role will be fast-paced and varied. You will report to the Design and Brand Lead, as part of the wider Marketing and Communications Team. The Design and Marketing Assistant will support the production of all branded assets and materials across the organisation.

We need a go-getter who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get involved. Day to day you will be getting involved in a variety of tasks related to the recruitment and retention of foster carers. Acting as a brand champion, you will help to ensure that all design work aligns with our brand guidelines and maintains a consistent brand identity across all touchpoints.

As this is a home-based role, we are looking for someone self-motivated, organised, and a confident communicator.

We are committed to supporting the successful candidate with training and development initiatives, providing a pathway to further enhance their skills and knowledge, including the opportunity to undertake an Apprenticeship program.

As a ‘not for profit’ organisation, TACT puts the needs of our children and carers first and looks to appoint individuals who are as passionate about fostering as we are. We are a homeworking organisation, and we pride ourselves on our flexible working opportunities, available from day one, an extensive wellbeing programme, and our benefits package, all curated to nurture a healthy work-life balance for all our employees so they can give excellent service to our carers and the young people and children we care for.

As a foster care charity, TACT invests all surplus income into services, staff, carers, and child development. This means that we have been able to invest in unique projects like TACT Connect, our unique and ground-breaking scheme for TACT care experienced young people and adults, as well as our expanding TACT Education Service and our new Health Service. All our activities are built on our commitment to becoming a fully trauma-informed organisation, in line with our key values and ethos.

TACT achieved 16th place in the UK Best Companies Work For survey results in 2023, with 91% of employees acknowledging that the organisation is run on strong values and principles and 94% stating they feel proud to work for this organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Marketing and Communications Team as they grow and develop.

If you want to be valued as a professional, be appreciated at work, and contribute to better outcomes for the children and young people connected with TACT, apply now.

Overall Duties of the Design and Marketing Assistant will include:

  • Support the Design and Brand Lead in creating marketing materials, literature, and visual assets for use across a variety of platforms and channels.
  • Researching and coming up with design content ideas, aligned with our brand guidelines.
  • Support members of the wider marketing team to regularly review and update content on our digital platforms, ensuring it is kept up to date.
  • Work with members of the marketing to produce and schedule content for social channels.
  • Understand and execute creative briefs, ensuring a consistent identity.
  • Assist colleagues across the wider Marketing and Communications Team on a variety of projects and campaigns.

TACT offers an excellent employee benefits package including:

  • 31 days paid holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Flexible working arrangements (including compressed hours, flexibility around core hours, and volunteer days policy).
  • Family friendly policies.
  • Homeworking ‘bundle’ including annual allowance, IT equipment, and a loan for home office set up.
  • Employee Assistance Programme (including CBT counselling, remote GP appointments, physiotherapy, mental health support, and second opinions).
  • Perkbox – retail discount scheme.
  • Stakeholder pension scheme (salary sacrifice).
  • Fantastic learning and development opportunities.

TACT is a home based workforce. We recognise the benefits that flexible home working creates for both the employer and the employee.

The successful candidate will be required to attend regular face-to-face meetings in the West Midlands at least 1-2 times a month.

As a remote working organisation, we are committed to working with our staff to enable consistent inclusion and engagement across the organisation to ensure the optimum standards of service for our carers and children.

A Standard DBS clearance is required for this role and will be processed by TACT on your behalf.
