Title: Senior IG Officer, Retention
Salary: £33,000-£36,000 per annum, dependent on experience

This role will create and deliver supporter-centric and insight-driven retention campaigns to maximise the loyalty and income from our base of 30,000 individual giving supporters. Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager, you will develop and assess a range of supporter journeys and asks to best retain supporters across regular giving, raffle, lottery, cash giving and legacy - through digital, telemarketing and direct mail channels.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and grow the supporter retention and engagement programme within an agreed annual budget and calendar. Regular Giving is the backbone of our fundraising income, it currently generates £37million each year across our three existing products – Sponsor a Dog, Companion Club (a subscription product) and general Direct Debits. We are now looking for a Regular Giving Product Manager to help us deliver our Regular Giving strategy to increase retention rates and build lifetime value.
About this Job:
As a Regular Giving Product Manager, you will:
- Take a supporter-led approach to the development of campaign activity, understanding the key motivations and demographic of our regular givers and to deliver outstanding supporter experiences.
- Develop inspirational written and digital communications to our regular givers and produce fundraising materials in line with our brand guidelines.
- Manage relationships with any third-party suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee the campaign performance reporting, working alongside the Performance and Innovation Manager and our data agency to optimise our campaigns
About you:
We are looking for a highly organised person, with experience in simultaneously managing multiple projects and working reactively, all whilst maintaining high standards of communication and adhering to guidelines. You will be personable, and able to form strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of products. Your expertise in copywriting, coupled with your ability to evaluate campaign performance, will drive the continuous improvement of our Regular Giving products.

As Individual Giving Officer you will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies to attract, retain, and upgrade individual donors, ensuring a steady and growing stream of funding and support for the organisation.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Identifying, cultivating, and stewarding relationships with individual donors to maximise financial support
- Planning and executing individual giving campaigns, leveraging all available communication channels to engage donors effectively.
- Organising and coordinating donor events, creating opportunities for meaningful engagement and recognition.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align fundraising strategies with organisational goals.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of a comprehensive individual giving strategy.
This position would ideally suit a candidate with;
Proven experience in individual fundraising, legacy fundraising, donor relations, or related fields.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Familiarity with fundraising databases and CRM systems.
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in individual giving and philanthropy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
This is a homeworking role, however you will be required to be present at the Leatherhead office and events on a semi-regular basis, so is most suitable for candidates within a commutable distance.
