We are looking for a new Regular and Mid-Value Giving Officer – someone who brings a passion for hospice care and wants to play a part in establishing an integrated individual giving programme at the Hospice of St Francis.
This is an exciting opportunity to grow the Friends of St Francis, the Hospice’s regular giving programme, develop and test creative new approaches to regular giving and optimise the programme for the digital age.

The opportunity......
You will play a central role in growing and maintaining income across the Hospice and positioning us as the local charity of choice.
You will help establish an integrated individual giving programme, review and develop our regular giving offering, the Friends of St Francis, and establish a new mid-value segment.
This role will provide the opportunity to develop and test new ways to grow the supporter base whilst driving engagement and retention.
You’ll bring creativity and a results-oriented outlook, contributing to the wider success of fundraising at the Hospice.
The must haves......
- Fundraising Success: At least three years’ experience operating and growing income in an Individual Giving Role (or with relevant transferable skills)
- Data management and analysis: Strong data analysis skills with experience of approaches to data segmentation and developing data management systems and processes
- Project management and collaboration: Ability to manage complex projects, working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
- Results orientated: Knowledge of developing and tracking KPIS and ability to drive regular giving that maximises ROI

Skills/Experience Required:
* Have worked in a charity legacy marketing and individual giving fundraising team.

* Experience of acquiring, converting and stewarding existing and new supporters through to legacy (acquisition and retention).

What you do
Main purpose of post
This is a senior and strategic role in our fundraising team. You will be
responsible for leading the development and delivery of our Individual Giving
strategy, ensuring sustainable growth in income from individual donors. You
will oversee the retention and stewardship of existing supporters and
implement creative, data-led campaigns to attract new donors across multiple

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Development and Planning
Lead the development and execution of a multi-year Individual Giving

Campaign Management
Plan, manage, and evaluate a portfolio of Individual Giving campaigns

Ensure all communications reflect the charity’s tone, values, and brand.
Donor Retention and Stewardship
Design and implement supporter journeys that deepen donor

Work with our Marketing Manager to oversee donor communications to
specific audience groups and stewardship activity, ensuring a positive
supporter experience.
Monitor donor behaviour and lifetime value to inform stewardship and
upgrade strategies.
Legacy and In Memory Giving
Provide strategic oversight of legacy and in-memory income streams.
Line manage and support the Legacy and In Memory Manager to deliver
agreed targets and KPIs.
Support the development of a legacy marketing plan to grow our legacy
pipeline.
Support development of relationships with legacy pledgers and inmemory
donors
Budgeting and Performance
Manage income and expenditure budgets for Individual Giving.
Track and analyse campaign performance against KPIs and ROI targets.
Maximise all gift aid opportunities within the agreed audiences.
Report regularly to the Head of Fundraising on performance,
opportunities, and risks.
Cross-Team Collaboration
Work with Communications, Digital, and Data colleagues to ensure

The Role – Individual Giving Assistant Manager
The Fundraising Department of Chester Zoo, a major wildlife charity, with a mission of Preventing Extinction works to secure income which contributes towards the delivery of our strategic development plan and ambitious conservation plan, helping to ensure nature can survive and thrive.
Reporting to the Fundraising & Philanthropy Lead and working with the wider Fundraising team, the Individual Giving Assistant Manager will lead on securing and managing small to medium donations from individuals. This includes our newly created Patron Scheme, multiple fundraising campaigns and all challenge events for the zoo (including Run for Nature).
We are looking for a proactive and conscientious individual who will take a data led approach to raise money in effective and creative ways, working with our Senior Marketing Manager and Senior Data and Insights Manager to identify patterns and drive donations through individual giving. - A demonstrable track-record in individual fundraising and/or high-level customer service
- Experience of using a database to manage and track donor gifts, relationships and pipeline
- The ability to create exciting and compelling fundraising campaigns across a range of different channels

About the Role
As Individual Giving Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering an ambitious individual giving programme that brings in over £1.5 million annually. Our charity-sector client is seeking an experienced Individual Giving Manager to join their Fundraising, Engagement & Communications team for approximately 2 months.
This is a hands-on role, leading all aspects of individual giving fundraising (excluding major donors and digital) — from delivering direct mail appeals to managing donor stewardship and supporting key fundraising events. The Role
