The PDA Society is looking to recruit its first ever Head of role and we believe the right person could be transformative for our organisation. We are looking for a goal oriented, entrepreneurial individual who can help us maximise our fundraised and earned income through effective relationships and online communications. You will be part of a fast moving, high performing team who are determined to make a difference. This is a small organisation where senior team members do as well as plan. You’ll be supported by a small communications team and a small budget to commission trust applications, and you’ll hold responsibility for maintaining trust funder relationships and ensuring reporting is timely and accurate.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the coordination of an Early Help Service. The service will focus on identifying service gaps across Birmingham to enable families to access Early Help and support, through the application of Early Help. You will play a key role in leading quality assurance and the day–to–day delivery of the service, providing effective management and leadership to a team of Early Help Support Workers and Early Help Development Workers. As the Service Manager, you will be required to work in partnership with the Operational Manager to support the strategic development of the integrated service offer for children and families living in the West of Birmingham. You will be required to work closely with a wide range of stakeholders and actively engage in local and district meetings and with Birmingham Childrens Trust. As the Service Manager, you will be working as a part of a management team and be accountable for the quality standards in the service, building and sustaining professional relationships with all stakeholders.
The Service Manager will:

- Lead in the allocation of Family Connect Form.

The Bike Project is an award-winning charity which refurbishes second hand bikes and donates them to refugees. We were founded in 2013 by, Jem Stein, after he struck up a friendship and found a bike for Adam, a Darfuri refugee who had fled his home in Sudan after war broke out.

Duites and Responsibilities
This role oversees the securing and reporting of our Trusts and Foundation income, including working closely with colleagues to develop relevant, impactful and deliverable funding proposals and coordinate the stewardship of key trust and foundation relationships.
The role works closely with all colleagues to ensure a joined-up approach to income generation across the charity and our different supporter groups.
Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in preparing and submitting successful funding applications and proposals to charitable trusts and foundations, with a track record of securing five and six figure gifts, ideally within the refugee’s sector. You will have experience of working with, and applying for funding from, some of the larger grant organisations.
You will be experienced in identifying suitable prospects, developing pipelines, and managing funder relationships, adopting a strategic approach when working with colleagues across the organisation.
Location
This is a hybrid role, working from home with one day per week in either our London or Birmingham office. The salary is £42,000 for Birmingham-based employees and £45,000 for London-based employees, reflecting the London Living Wage adjustment

Overall purpose
The Data and Insights Manager will be a vital part of Breaking Barriers’ Data and Innovation Team, which has overall responsibility for Breaking Barriers’ data infrastructure and data analysis (relating to clients, programmes, fundraising, corporate partners and communications). They will oversee the gathering, processing, analysis and presentation of Breaking Barriers’ data, in order to ensure we are as evidence-based and effective an organisation as possible. This will offer the opportunity to influence decision making at all levels and have a genuine impact on Breaking Barriers’ clients. The Data and Insights Manager will also take ownership of various projects to improve the organisation’s CRM (Salesforce) and its integration with other applications. In addition, they will support the Head of Data and Innovation with the management of the Data and Innovation Team’s working relationships with other teams and with coordinating the Data and Innovation team’s work.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in CRM management, ideally having worked as a Salesforce Administrator. They should possess a high level of data literacy, with knowledge of data analytics and visualisation. They should excel as a project manager and a communicator with a willingness to work collaboratively across teams. There is considerable scope for personal development in this role, with opportunities to shape the organisation’s future systems with a key emphasis on self-driven learning and development. For over 15 years, Scotty's Little Soldiers has been supporting children and young people who have been bereaved of a parent who served in the British Armed Forces. Role Mission.
I am here to lead Scotty’s outreach to bereaved military families — helping more people find, trust, and access our support by creating a visible, welcoming, and engaged community.
I am accountable for:
- Developing and delivering Scotty’s Outreach strategy, aligned with the charity’s long-term vision and growth targets.
- Leading the development of a new in-house team, ensuring strong performance, alignment, and support across all outreach activities.
- Achieving our beneficiary reach and engagement targets, including community growth, email sign-ups & engagement, social reach, and event/webinar attendance.
- Ensuring all outreach activity is sensitive, on-brand, and audience-focused, particularly in the context of bereavement and the military community.
The key responsibilities of this role are:
- Shape and deliver the Outreach strategy to engage bereaved military families across the UK, helping us to a) reach more bereaved families, and b) maintain regular engagement with those families.
- Lead and support the development of the Outreach squad as it grows.
- Plan and oversee delivery of digital and offline outreach activity, including social media, email marketing, website content, printed publications, and event promotion.
- Initially take responsibility for the delivery of outreach activity (except social media) until the squad grows.
- Ensure strong audience insight, segmentation, and tone of voice in all comms.
- Set and report on performance metrics to the CEO, SLT, and Trustees.
- Work closely with internal teams, especially our Service Delivery, to align comms and campaigns with our Programme goals, and to ensure we sensitively engaged with the bereaved military community.
- Uphold the Scotty’s tone and brand across all outreach activity — adapting to the needs of a sensitive, bereaved audience.
The 3-month goals for this role are:
- Build a deep understanding of Scotty’s mission, our audience, the services we provide, and strategic direction.

It’s an exciting and important time for our charity as we work to help more people out of homelessness and poverty as part of an ambitious strategy.
The newly created role of Federation Development Lead will sit within the Partnerships and Federation Development directorate, to support the delivery of key charity and federation-wide objectives, as part of our mission to empower people affected by homelessness and poverty to change their lives for the better while using our voice to achieve social change.
The principal responsibility will be to support our ambition to become a best practice national body, responsible for leading on and supporting the development of key projects within Emmaus UK and the wider federation.

The role will also provide a critical role in the implementation and delivery of Emmaus UK’s ambitious plans to seek registration as a provider of social housing. As the Federation Development Lead, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth and development of the Emmaus movement within the UK, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, and supporting the overall success of the federation.
