Contract: Permanent, part-time (21 hours per week)

This is a part-time post, 21 hours per week to be worked on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Hybrid working available, with a requirement to be in the Battersea office 1 to 2 days per week.

BookTrust is the UK's largest children's reading charity. Working as a member of the Mass Engagement team, you will be part of the team tasked with growing individual giving income.  We are increasing the range of new donor audiences, expanding the range of fundraising channels and developing new fundraising products.

We are looking for an organised and motivated individual, who has excellent communication skills, an eye for detail and the ability to build relationships with people by email, on the telephone and in person.

You’ll be responsible for responding to fundraising enquiries across multiple channels including phone, email, and print, thanking supporters, collating campaign results and providing an exceptional experience to our supporters. You will ensure that all donor details are accurate and kept up to date on our CRM (Microsoft Dynamics).

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

 We are seeking an experienced fundraiser with a passion for our mission to equip our organisation with the financial resources needed to meet our objectives as we work to scale our fundraising by growing our charitable income across all funding streams, maximising supporter engagement and fulfilling fundraising operational duties

This is a new role, joining a small but growing Fundraising and Events Team, and having a real input into our plans and strategies for the future. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the successful candidate will oversee most fundraising income generation activity.

The Fundraising Officer will build positive relationships to secure significant income and develop new relationships with groups, business and individuals, bringing in regular and targeted income through regular donations, fundraising campaigns and events. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Fundraising Overview

1. Develop, deliver, and monitor a fundraising strategy for The Cinnamon Trust.
2. Maximise the contributions and connections with local business and individuals.
3. Coordinate all appeals including The Big Walk across all income and media streams.
4. Research and utilise new fundraising streams and opportunities such as Payroll Giving, Legacies (with help from The Legacy Officer), in Memory Giving and Online Giving.

Supporter Engagement and Stewardship

1. Establish systems, procedures, proactive stewardship, and an engagement programme to provide the highest levels of service to The Trust’s supporters.
2.  To be responsible for thanking all supporters and managing a supporter engagement journey – ensuring that effective processes are in place and driving levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
3.  Act as the ‘first point of call’ for all fundraising volunteers and maintaining excellent communication with supporters throughout these processes, in conjunction with other teams.
4.  Develop and implement Fundraising groups across the UK

Database Management

1. To ensure efficient, appropriate data capture and analysis for the purpose of effective stewardship, fundraising and communications.
2.  Maintain data management standards, assisting with the implementation of processes and policies ensuring best practice is followed.
3.  Train other staff members to support general fundraising.
4.  Ensure all records, fundraising data and fundraising administration is kept up to date and all information is GDPR-compliant.
5.  Reconcile fundraising income with the Finance Manager, including Gift Aid claims, missed, failed payments and Direct Debit cancellations.

 Individual Giving

1. Develop an Individual Giving and Acquisition strategy that drives growth for individual giving across multi-channel campaigns and initiatives.
2. Lead the growth of CT100 monthly giving.
3. Work with the Press and PR Manager on fundraising communication and to ensure donors are kept up to date on the difference their support makes.

Fundraising Appeals and Campaigns

1. Work alongside teams and PR and Communications Manager to promote The Cinnamon Trust.
2. Establish a corporate fundraising strategy with an accompanying narrative, alongside the PR and Communications Manager.
3. Tailor campaigns and appeals for different audiences and supporters alongside PR and Communications Manager to target corporates; smaller local businesses and individuals

Staff and Volunteers

1. Support with recruiting fundraising volunteers as appropriate.
2.  Work closely with Head of Operations and PR and Communications Manager  to ensure all fundraising is coordinated.

Wider organisational responsibilities

1. Read and adhere to all policies and procedures.
2. Lead on applications to charitable trusts or statutory bodies with support from the Head of Operations.
3. Undertake responsibilities associated with being a member of The Cinnamon Trust

This exciting role will work closely with the Director of Fundraising, Individual Giving Manager and Digital Marketing Manager to develop a strategy, plan and key performance metrics for digital donor acquisition and fundraising. Already expert and excited by digital fundraising campaign development, you’ll have a unique combination of creative and business skills. These will enable you to create engaging digital content and through your expertise in paid search, google grants and paid social, optimise the ROI for Starlight in terms of donor engagement, acquisition, and income. The Role

FareShare has a dynamic fundraising department that has seen incredible growth in support in an incredibly short space of time. We are now looking for a proven Supporter Retention Manager to join us as we embark on our next phase of deepening engagement with current and new supporters.

This newly created role is an integral part of the Fundraising team’s growth plans to become a £40 million income generating team.

Working closely with the Supporter Acquisition Manager, Supporter Experience Manager (Fundraising Operations) and the wider Fundraising team, the post-holder will lead on stewardship campaigns encompassing Warm Appeals, Regular Giving asks, Supporter newsletters and cross-sell campaigns across FareShare’s audiences. Line management of an Individual Giving Officer (or Assistant) may form part of the roles and responsibilities further down the line.

Main areas of responsibility

1.Plan and deliver the Warm Appeals programme in line with agreed budget targets and annual workplans

• Campaign manage the Cash Appeals programme at all stages, from initial planning through to supplier management and post-campaign analysis

2.Develop and manage a seamless supporter journey and consistency of messaging from the initial touchpoint through to longer-term giving

The Regional Fundraisers role is to mobilise and maximise local fundraising activities in order to raise income to support the work of the charity.  Working to the Director of Fundraising and with other senior fundraising staff, develop and implement a comprehensive regional fundraising strategy to maximize income generation and donor engagement within the region.  You will be required to be proactive within your area to identify opportunities for fundraising and raise awareness of the Charity as well as identify, cultivate, and grow relationships with community groups, schools, individuals, and corporate donors within the region, focusing on donor retention and growth.  You will also organise and coordinate fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives within your region, including virtual and in-person events when applicable.

Fundraising Manager – Job Description

Contract: 3 days a week

Location: Hybrid/home-based with at least half a day a week on site in Newham.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans to achieve annual income targets in alignment with organisational goals.

To support our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Trust Fundraising Officer to join our small yet dynamic Fundraising team to help grow our income through Charitable Trusts and grant making organisations.  This is an exciting time to join the organisation as we celebrate our 20th Anniversary year and look to a future of growth and building on our past achievements. 

About the role

- You'll research trusts and foundations funding opportunities to which IHP can apply.
- You'll prepare and submit compelling funding applications to trusts and foundations in order to grow our core income.
- You'll work across teams and build effective relationships with team members in order to identify suitable projects for funding in line with strategy and budgets.
- You'll support the preparation of funding applications by members of the team to other donors, including corporate donors, major donors and other charity partners (NGOs)​

• Relevant fundraising experience (trusts and foundations)

About MenWalkTalk

MenWalkTalk is a registered charity in England which aims to support an improvement of mental health in men of all ages by engaging in a walking group which is proven to be beneficial to their mental and physical wellbeing. The Stigma around Men’s mental health needs to be broken. MenWalkTalk also aims to reduce social isolation for men and provide signposting to specialist support for those who may be experiencing mental health problems. We want to provide volunteer-led walking groups in every county across England and then the UK. Our volunteers have mental health first aid training as a minimum and their aims are to discuss mental health within their walking groups, in a caring, supportive, and non-judgemental manner. We currently have 22 walk-leaders and 5 campaigners, all of which are volunteers.

Job Description – about the role

We are seeking to hire a self-motivated and enthusiastic Fundraising Officer to work with the charity team and to support the activities of the organisation.

The ideal candidate will possess a wide range of skills and be interested in playing a key role within a small and committed team, supporting the Trustees and Fundraising & Marketing Committee with the organisation’s activities.

As a Fundraising Officer your primary responsibility will be to develop, engage and grow corporate, trust, and individual supporters to help MenWalkTalk achieve its goals. Working closely with the CEO and Trustees. You'll contribute to the team by conducting research, managing appeals and fundraising efforts, handling administrative tasks, and providing event support across our team.

·Support the MenWalkTalk charity in achieving its annual income target by engaging corporate, trust, and individual donors. 

·Conduct research and develop a pipeline of potential supporters across various donor types to expand the charity's network. 

·Assist in implementing and maintaining an effective CRM system to ensure accurate and up-to-date partnership records, enabling efficient donor management and communication. 

Key responsibilities:

Fundraising

·Support the charity in achieving an annual income target from a mixture of corporate, trust, and individual donors. 

·Conduct research and create a pipeline of potential supporters across different donor categories. 

·Aid in the establishment and integration of a CRM system within the charity. 

·Ensure partnership records are kept up to date and accurate on our income CRM system (TBC).

General Responsibilities

·To understand, adhere to and actively implement all the policies and procedures of MenWalkTalk and its services at all times.

·To operate and comply with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 and relevant MenWalkTalk policies during the course of undertaking the role.

Guidance and support to the Chief Executive

·Liaise with the CEO regularly. 

·Liaise with the CEO and other staff to coordinate any external/charity appointments, attendance at such events and the detailed planning of special events.

·Keep the Fundraising & Marketing Committee and Trustees appraised with Funding outcomes. 

·Attend occasional events and exhibitions as requested by the CEO to represent the charity.

Do you have previous experience within fundraising or marketing? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Fundraising Engagement Officer to join our Community Fundraising Team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract at the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association!

You'll be at the heart of our fundraising efforts, recruiting passionate supporters and managing event logistics to maximise impact.

Assisting with the delivery of our Community Fundraising strategy, you will focus on marketing our portfolio of Community Fundraising products to ensure we meet recruitment, income and expenditure targets.

You will deliver our campaigns using various channels like digital, telephone, face-to-face and print to spread the word and track progress. Contributing to our social media and promotional plans will also be part of your remit.

Maintaining our community fundraising web pages and providing clear information through our email journeys to support individuals will be crucial. You'll also be required to attend some of our fundraising events, ensuring every supporter has a positive experience both leading up to and on the day.
