The Role

As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Abingdon site, ensuring that our Wood Shop, workshop, and facilities turn a profit and run smoothly, safely, and in line with our business plan. Key Responsibilities

· Ensure a positive customer experience for everyone accessing OWR services at our Wood Shop, online and over the phone.

· Lead and oversee our Wood Shop and workshop operations, managing retail activity and supporting staff with purchasing and merchandising.

· Develop and maintain business systems to ensure high standards of service, safety, and sustainability across the site.

· Take ownership of Health & Safety policies, procedures, and compliance across the Abingdon site and satellite facilities.

· Provide visible and motivational leadership to operational teams - including customer service, warehouse, and woodwork - promoting team development and high performance.

· Coordinate with the marketing function to grow profitable retail and commercial sales.

· Support and develop workshop-based manufacturing and bespoke wood projects, ensuring delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction.

· Actively participate in senior team meetings and contribute to strategic planning.

Warrington Voluntary Action have been invited to coordinate Warrington’s first Poverty Truth Commission (PTC). Poverty Truth Commissions are about bringing about change - changing organisations and communities behaviours and attitudes towards poverty and taking action to tackle it. The PTC brings together people who have direct lived experience of poverty with key decision makers to form a group of commissioners who meet and work together on the key issues guided by the Community Commissioners. 

The purpose of the Community Engagement Worker role is to coordinate and facilitate a Poverty Truth Commission where people and their stories are at the heart of truly understanding and addressing poverty, delivering a commission in a truly relational way, which prioritises the leadership of those who are more often marginalised or voiceless.

Key Responsibilities

• To reach and develop trusted relationships with people with lived experience of poverty, with the aim of recruiting Community Commissioners who are representative of our local community.
• Create effective conditions for learning and support the Community Commissioners to learn and share together easily, facilitating sessions that enable them to build solidarity with one another.

The School:

Merchant Taylors’ School is a large Independent Boys’ School, situated in 280 acres of parkland in Northwood, Middlesex.  The School was founded in 1561, is owned by the Merchant Taylors’ Educational Trust and moved to its present site in 1933. Fundraising

· Developing and innovating the school’s regular giving programme, the Merchant Taylors’ Fund, to ensure a consistent income stream and increased participation from alumni, parents and friends.

· In conjunction with external consultants, running our (currently) biennial telephone fundraising campaigns and Giving Days.

· Liaising with school departments, clubs and societies to identify exciting projects to motivate supporters.

· Segmenting and targeting recipients for appeals to ensure the greatest impact and returns.

 Stewardship

Reporting

· Reporting on progress against all objectives to the Development and Alumni Relations Sub-Committee of Governors.

· Where appropriate, working with the Development Executive (Events and Communications), to produce benefactor report publications and contribute to other Development publications.

The Willow Major Events Team hosts a range of events to engage Willow’s key supporters. These range in large-scale events such as the Willow Ball and London Football Awards, to smaller more intimate events such as Golf and Shoot Days.

Job purpose

About this job

This is a great opportunity to join a dedicated team who are passionate about improving the lives of people with MS. We are looking for someone who is confident in navigating social media channels and has a proven track record in creating engaging content for a range of audiences.

The successful candidate will be supporting the development and delivery of our digital communications to increase our reach across Northern Ireland so you’ll need to have confidence navigating Meta Platforms and online graphic design tools such as Canva or similar.

About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Coordinator to support our care teams in delivering a high-quality family support service in the region, working with families and professionals to ensure the families we support have access to the services they need.

Reporting to the Family Support Manager and working in partnership with health, education, and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for sourcing practical goods and services in the region, applying for grants and benefits, as well as working with other charities or community providers to obtain goods, equipment or funds for families that Rainbow Trust do not provide directly.
