As Head of Development and a member of the Leadership Team, you will play a key role in shaping and leading a new and ambitious Development Strategy to secure the resources we need to grow our frontline and influencing impact. This is an exciting role for a first-time leader - you will be fully supported by an experienced CEO and a collaborative Leadership Team, with a focus on your professional development. You’ll be joining at an exciting time of growth and building on a strong fundraising track record.
Our ambitious new strategic plan aims to support more Londoners than ever by 2030 and build the evidence for transforming national resettlement policy, with a staff team of 30 dedicated individuals aiming to push forward that vision. We have two roles available - one is permanent and the other is a three year contract.

The post holder would be responsible for:

* Providing specialist advice and advocacy service to the homeless guests of our services, which include Partner Day Centres and Night Shelters throughout the winter season.

* Employing creative thinking and practices to ensure that guests are supported and motivated to achieve their goals.

* Attending appointments with guest occassionally when needed

* Referring and signposting guests to accommodation providers, health service and other relevant internal and external support services, as necessary.

* Maintaining good communication with the Managers of our partnered Drop In Centres, Glass Door colleagues and local statutory and non-statutory services.

* Attending meetings with the Casework team, external service providers and partner organisations when required.

* Collating statistics and outcome measurements of the casework servicce for both internal and external use.

* Maintaining a well organised and easily accessible administration system for the casework programme in line with relevant legislation (eg GDPR)

* Undertaking any other duties as required by the charity.

Person Specification

Essential:

* At least one years experience of working one-on-one and assessing the needs of homeless people or similar disadvantaged client groups

* Empathic attitude to homeless and vulnerably housed people

* Up to date knowledge of the welfare issues and legislation affecting homeless people

* Knowledge of relevant support services available to homeless people, particularly in West London

* Confident approach to and experience of, dealing with challenging behaviour

* Ability to maintain good relationships with colleagues and external service providers

* Highly organised with strong time management skills

* Ability to keep clear and up to date case records

* Experienced and competent in MS Office packages

* Ability to work independently and take the initiative to make important decisions.

Together with service users, you will develop person-centred recovery plans focused on social goals and community integration, building strong therapeutic relationships through trauma-informed and strength-based approaches. You will help individuals access local resources, attend appointments, and engage in wellbeing activities, peer support, and psychoeducational groups. Collaboration is central to the role, as you will liaise with statutory and voluntary organisations, attend clinical meetings and community events, and advocate for recovery-focused, jargon-free communication. You will ensure accurate documentation, uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards, and actively participate in supervision, training, and professional development.

What do I need to bring with me?

Here's what the team will be looking for

We are looking for someone with NVQ Level 4 in Care (or equivalent) or at least two years' experience in a mental health setting. You will bring a strong understanding of mental health issues, recovery, and co-production principles, alongside experience of working collaboratively with professionals, services, and communities. Knowledge of care planning, risk assessment, recovery tools, and the Mental Health Act is essential, as are excellent communication, relationship-building, and group facilitation skills. You should be confident using IT systems, resilient and adaptable, able to work independently or as part of a team, and committed to person-centred, trauma-informed practice.

About the role

Solace Women’s Aid is delighted to be the lead partner for this innovative cross-borough project, funded by MOPAC. We are looking for an experienced, dynamic Psychologist to use their knowledge and skills in psychological theory and practice to support non-clinical advocates working with women experiencing VAWG and severe and multiple disadvantage.

About you

You will have experience working as a clinical, counselling or forensic psychologist. Your role will include fostering trauma-informed practice in the project, providing clinical support to non-clinical advocates through conducting ongoing Reflective Practice and clinical supervision.

You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the intersection between severe and multiple disadvantage and VAWG and a strong understanding of how this can make it difficult for women to engage with support. You will have worked with people experiencing various aspects of severe and multiple disadvantage: homelessness, substance use, mental health issues, insecure immigration status, prostitution, offending history and children taken into Care.

Play a key role in a pioneering £1m Maudsley funded programme transforming how primary care supports young people. As Research Fellow, you’ll lead research and evaluation activity across four South London boroughs and help build WCC’s growing national evidence and insight function.

This post offers an exceptional opportunity to be part of an innovative and rapidly developing programme that blends real world service change with high quality research. Working across the South London and Maudsley (SLaM) boroughs — Lambeth, Lewisham, Southwark and Croydon — you will document, analyse and demonstrate the impact of new youth friendly primary care approaches as they are designed, implemented and adapted.

Supervised by Dr Ann Hagell (Consultant to The Well Centre Charity) and Professor Johnny Downs (King’s College London), you will join a collaborative and multidisciplinary partnership that includes KCL’s CAMHS Digital Lab, primary care teams, youth workers and community stakeholders. This is a rare chance to contribute foundational insight to a charity entering its national scaling phase.

About The Well Centre Charity

The Well Centre Charity exists to ensure every young person has access to health support that is holistic, youth friendly and free from barriers. Our model brings together GPs, Health and Wellbeing Practitioners and mental health practitioners to deliver integrated care in a way young people value.

Rooted in Lambeth, the Well Centre model has inspired services across South London and beyond. We are now building the research, learning and system infrastructure required to scale this approach nationally. Joining us now means shaping our evidence base and strengthening our role as an innovation partner to local and national systems.

This post is funded by the Maudsley Charity, but the employment contract will be held by Herne Hill Group Practice, the home of the original Well Centre.

About the Role

As Research Fellow, you will lead research and evaluation for the Maudsley programme and contribute to the wider evidence and insight function of WCC. You will use both qualitative and quantitative methods, support digital innovation with KCL, and help ensure that young people’s experiences, outcomes and priorities shape service development.

Your work will inform commissioners, clinicians and system partners working to reduce health inequalities and strengthen support for adolescents across South London and beyond.

What You’ll Do

You will:

• Design and deliver research and evaluation that tracks the rollout of new Well Centre–style services

• Use mixed methods to understand how services improve young people’s outcomes and experiences

• Analyse quantitative and qualitative data and translate findings into actionable recommendations

• Work closely with the CAMHS Digital Lab to support digital innovation and data capture

• Contribute to co production and engagement with young people and community voices

• Prepare protocols and support ethical approval processes

• Produce high quality reports, presentations and publications

• Synthesise evidence for commissioners, clinical partners and funders

• Champion evidence led practice within WCC and the wider programme

About You

We are looking for a thoughtful, curious and motivated researcher who wants to make a tangible difference to young people’s lives. You’ll value collaboration, bring intellectual rigour and enjoy working in a small team where flexibility, initiative and shared purpose matter more than hierarchy.

Essential Criteria

• Postgraduate degree (e.g., MSc) in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, social sciences or related discipline

• Experience setting up or supporting research studies, ideally in adolescent or population health

• Ability to translate complex findings into accessible insights for diverse audiences

• Strong literature synthesis and critical appraisal skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities

• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams

• Knowledge of ethical research practice and GDPR compliance

• Ability to form effective working relationships with colleagues, partners and stakeholders

• Experience of qualitative research with young people

Desirable

• PhD (completed or near submission) in a relevant field

• Experience in adolescent health, youth development, primary care or CAMHS

• Familiarity with NHS datasets and publicly available health and mapping data

• Understanding of SNOMED, Read Codes or clinical phenotyping systems

• Experience with ethical approval and information governance processes

• Strong quantitative or analytical skills using R, Python or STATA

• Experience of co design with young people

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional to support the Senior Finance Manager in the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations. What We are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have experience in a finance or accounting support role, with working knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting procedures—ideally including QuickBooks. They will demonstrate strong administrative and organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a sound understanding of VAT, expense processing, and reconciliations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
