We’re seeking a well-organised, enthusiastic team player to join a grants team as a Grant Support Officer.

Position: Grants Support Officer

Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week, flexible working
Salary: £27,101 rising to £32,323 per annum.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a friendly grants team. As part of the role you will work with a diverse range of voluntary organisations across Wales, supporting them to deliver fantastic projects.

The role is perfect for someone who is looking for a busy but varied role. If you enjoy working as part of a team and have great time management skills, this rewarding role will give you the opportunity to use your own initiative.

Some of your main duties will include:

• Speaking with potential grant applicants to determine how we may be able to support their activity
• Working as part of a team to complete assessments on grant applications
• Supporting a portfolio of organisations, with a flexible approach to ensure projects deliver

You will also have opportunities to work with other teams and funders.

About You

You will have:

• Experience using operational systems and processes, including online databases and grant management systems
• Proven experience managing funding schemes and supporting funded projects to deliver objectives and resolve issues
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across multiple formats (e.g. reports, presentations, social media, websites)
• Good numerical skills with experience working with financial data and using Microsoft Excel functions
• Excellent IT skills, particularly with databases, spreadsheets, email and word processing (preferably Microsoft Office)
• Highly organised, able to manage own workload, adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines consistently

The ability to communicate in Welsh is also desirable.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Our busy London offices will be welcoming a group of new interns to be part of the world's leading global sports and entertainment agency. This is an incredible opportunity to take part in our paid full-time 12-week programme which will run between Monday 12th January – Thursday 30th July 2026. This practical programme will help interns to develop their career in an industry they are passionate about.

Our Foundation Intern is required to work 4 days a week, Monday-Thursday, 10am-6pm, for the duration of the programme at one of our London offices and will support a variety of projects within their assigned department. Projects may include but will not be limited to; conducting research, providing general support for the Foundation Executive, admin and data entry tasks. We are looking for proactive self-starters with an enthusiasm for building a career in the entertainment and non-profit space. 

Strong admin, communication and organisational skills are a must, as well as a proven passion for and knowledge of both entertainment/sports culture and the charitable sector.

About you

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly formed Trusts and Foundations team, with a mission to raise funds for CARE International’s work globally to shift power and resources to women and local communities.

As part of the Partnerships & Philanthropy (P&P) team, you will form and nurture relationships with UK based Trusts and Foundations, securing five and six figure partnerships with small and medium sized organisations. You will manage your own portfolio of five and six figure UK based Trusts and Foundations, and support the Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager with large opportunities. 

New business is a key part of this role, and you will have the exciting opportunity to research, identify and engage organisations that could be great prospects for CARE, as well as stewarding a small number of existing donors through creative, gold standard, relationship management.

You will work closely with the Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager, Head of Partnerships & Philanthropy, country and programmes colleagues globally, engaging leadership as needed to progress donor relationships.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience of team administration

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a range of audiences 

• Excellent administration skills, including note-taking, presentation preparation and a positive, assertive and resilient approach to prioritising and juggling varying pressures and conflicting priorities 

• Experience in coordinating multiple projects simultaneously that meet the business requirements 

• Experience of developing and maintaining effective working relationships with all stakeholders 

• Experience of operating in a modern digital workplace, including using digital tools to work collaboratively and productively 

• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion 

• Ability to work flexibly and from home with very occasional travel
