We’re looking for a creative and hands-on communications all-rounder to support Climate Spring across digital, brand, marketing, events and general communications.

The Communications and Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Head of Communications and Events as well as the Development and Events Coordinator, helping to deliver and evolve the organisation’s communications strategy. The post holder will also support communications and content creation for Climate Spring's Climate Fiction Prize, a new literary prize celebrating novels tackling the climate crisis.

This is a broad and varied role ideal for someone with a strong visual eye, excellent copywriting skills and experience across digital, social media, website and brand management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

‍Digital and Content:

• Maintain and update the Climate Spring website (Webflow).
• Draft, edit and publish content across a variety of channels, including website, social media, newsletters and events copy.
• Support the management of Climate Spring's social media channels and calendars; create and post content.
• Lead on compiling and gathering content for Climate Spring’s monthly community newsletter.
• Support social media output for the Climate Fiction Prize as needed.

‍Brand and Marketing:

• Act as brand guardian alongside the Head of Communications and Events, ensuring consistency across all communications outputs and materials.
• Support the design and production of assets for Climate Spring and the Climate Fiction Prize using Canva (social posts, invites, presentations, event materials).
• Keep up with branding and marketing trends and suggest fresh approaches to drive engagement and community building across channels.

Events Communications:

• Support the promotion and communications around Climate Spring events (in-person, online and partner-led)
• Working with the Development and Events Coordinator to manage and send out event invites, manage RSVPs and event follow-ups.
• Support the promotion and marketing for Climate Spring’s workshops and training offerings.
• Help identify and coordinate new event opportunities.
• Attend Climate Spring events (in-person and online), take photos and cover on socials as required.

Reporting and  Admin:

• Track and report on communications activities, including press coverage, social, newsletter and website analytics to optimise impact and reach.
• Assist with general communications, events and marketing planning.
• Manage and maintain mailing lists (newsletter list, press lists).
• Maintain and share the communications and events calendar.

MINIMUM ROLE CRITERIA AND SKILLS:

• Proven experience in a busy comms, digital, marketing or public affairs role (agency or in-house).
• Excellent copywriting skills across web, social and editorial.
• Strong visual eye for branding and attention to detail.
• Experience of creating engaging social media content tailored to different platforms.
• Experience with CMS management (Webflow preferred).
• Highly organised with strong project and time management skills.
• Confident communicator who can work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent administrative and IT skills.

ADDITIONAL HIGHLY DESIRABLE SKILLS:

• Design experience (Adobe Creative Suite/Canva).
• Video editing skills (especially for social media formats).
• Experience with e-marketing tools (e.g. Campaign Monitor).
• Familiarity with social and web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, social media analytics platforms like Hootsuite/Buffer).
• Experience in digital marketing and running and tracking paid social media ads.

Position Title: Helpline Supervisor

Role Purpose:

The Helpline Supervisor will provide support, guidance and supervise the helpline advisors and in the future helpline volunteers. The role will further provide emotional support and debriefing for the helpline advisors and volunteers during each helpline shift and when appropriate after each reported incident. They will also oversee the quality of service and ensure each report is dealt with appropriately to a high standard and that reports are logged appropriately recording all relevant information, ensuring data is protected and all procedures are followed.

• Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance and emotional support to helpline advisors.

Funding Development

Hours: 14 hours per week (through an annualised hours working pattern).

Location: Remote working although the successful candidate will be expected to work from Cumberland Lodge a minimum of one day per month.  Applicants should be aware that Cumberland Lodge is not easily accessible by public transport, so alternative forms of transport (bicycle, car) are helpful.

Annual leave: 33 days including Bank Holidays which will be pro-rata. The charity is closed over the Christmas period which will be deducted from the leave allocation.

• Financial Stewardship & Forecasting: Providing regular, insightful forecasting of our grants pipeline (using Salesforce) and working with the Finance Team to ensure funds are being correctly used and logged - so we always know where we stand.  

I am responsible for:  

• Grant Strategy & Planning: Developing and implementing the grants strategy with a comprehensive, rolling programme of grant applications that are perfectly aligned with our charity’s strategic plans and agreed annual budget. We'll be focusing on securing those larger, transformative grants that make a real difference to starting each year with a higher percentage of funding already secured.  

• Funder Research & Identification: Proactively researching and identifying new, high-potential funding opportunities that truly resonate with Scotty's mission and strategic priorities. This means using industry best practices and relationship building to find our perfect partners.  

• Proposal Development & Submission: Leading the end-to-end development of high-quality, persuasive grant applications. This involves crafting compelling narratives from the heart, developing robust budgets factoring in overheads, and ensuring timely submission.   

• Relationship Management & Stewardship: Building and nurturing strong, long-term relationships with both our existing and prospective funders. This means regular, personalised communication, sharing impactful updates and acting as a Scotty’s ambassador at funder events and meetings.  

• Grant Management & Reporting: Meticulously managing all stages of awarded grants, including careful financial tracking (using Salesforce), ensuring we always adhere to grant agreements, and compiling comprehensive, insightful end-of-project reports that truly demonstrate our impact and foster continued support.  

• Internal Collaboration: Working closely with our Families team, Finance Team, Comms Team and Fundraising Team to identify funding needs, gather powerful impact data, and ensure seamless delivery and awareness of all grant-funded activities. We work to weekly transparent Success Measures (3 key agreed metrics which help show we’ve had a great week and give leading and lagging indicators on how we’re doing), monthly and quarterly budget targets and short, daily and weekly team huddles to share good news, keep our culture forefront and ensure we can best support each other and deliver for the charity.  

• Pipeline Management & Forecasting: Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of grant opportunities, regularly tracking progress, and providing accurate forecasting to help us make smart, strategic decisions for our future.   

• Data Management: Ensuring all grant funding information, relationships, and communications are accurately inputted and updated on our charity’s CRM database (Salesforce). Keeping things tidy and organised is key for good governance.  

• Grants landscape: Staying abreast of the trends and developments in the grants and trusts sector, identifying new approaches and opportunities to enhance Scotty's fundraising efforts and keep us ahead of the curve.  

• Team Support: Providing a helping hand with administrative support to other areas of the charity if required. We're all good team players here at Scotty's, and we always support each other.  

3-Month Goals:  

• Onboarding & Immersion: Dive deep and achieve a comprehensive understanding of Scotty’s operating system (The Scotty’s OS), our values, our behaviours, our mission, and the significant impact we have. This will happen through intro meetings with everyone on the team and a tailored onboarding program.  

• Grant Portfolio Audit & Handover: Conduct an audit of our existing grant portfolio, reviewing active grants, reporting schedules, and our funder relationships. We'll begin the handover process for existing relationships with the Head of Fundraising, ensuring a smooth transition.  

• Funder Engagement & Feedback: Reach out and initiate contact with at least 5 key existing funders. This is about listening, gathering their valuable feedback, understanding their priorities, and beginning to build those personal, trusting rapports.  

• Pipeline Initiation: Identify and qualify a minimum of 5 new potential grant-making organisations. We'll prioritise those who truly align with Scotty's mission and have the capacity for significant, multi-year funding – our future partners.  

6-Month Goals:  

• Income Target Ownership: Take full, enthusiastic ownership of ensuring we are on track to hit our existing grant budget lines. You'll provide regular and accurate forecasting, keeping us all informed and confident.  

• Relationship Deepening: Strengthen relationships with at least 5 key funders, leading to demonstrable progress towards increased or renewed multi-year support.  

• New Grant Acquisition: Secure at least 2 new grants of significant value (e.g. £10k+) from previously untapped funders, showcasing your success in converting those pipeline opportunities into real impact.  

• Strategic Grant Mapping: Develop a comprehensive grant funding strategy, outlining key target areas, funder tiers, and a detailed timeline for our major applications for the next 12-18 months.   

• Impact Reporting Enhancement: Collaborate internally to refine and enhance our reporting mechanisms. We want to ensure our data is readily available and tells the most compelling story for our funder reports.  

9-Month Goals:  

• Multi-Year Grant Success: Secure at least one new multi-year grant partnership with an annual income of £50k+, truly demonstrating your ability to unlock larger, sustained funding that makes a lasting difference.  

• Pipeline Expansion & Value: Add £100k+ of new, qualified grant fundraising opportunities to our pipeline each month, always with a keen eye on those high-value prospects.  

• Income Exceedance: Be on track to exceed the annual grant fundraising target, demonstrating strong performance and strategic growth that helps more bereaved military families.  

• Innovation & Best Practice: Introduce at least one innovative approach or best practice (e.g. involving AI) to our grant fundraising strategy. This could be a new, heartwarming cultivation event, a bespoke reporting format, or a new research methodology – anything that helps us grow.

Animal Equality’s campaigns have driven Parliamentary debates, legal victories, policy shifts, corporate commitments, mainstream media coverage, and inspired thousands of individuals to change their diets.

We are seeking a creative, driven, and strategic Campaigns Coordinator to deliver our current high-impact campaigns with a view to exposing the cruel animal agriculture industries, influencing decision-makers, and mobilising the public to create lasting change for farmed animals.

Working closely with team members, the Campaigns Coordinator will design and deliver imaginative campaigns while working in alignment with the organisation’s wider mission: to end factory farming. • Stakeholder management: Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers, experts, regulators, allied organisations, and members of the public to strengthen campaign outcomes.

WE ARE SEEKING A SAFEGUARDING LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT FACILITATOR

About the Department/Role

The Church of England is continually striving to improve its safeguarding practices. The 2020 report by IICSA on the Church highlighted failures in respect of child sexual abuse and, more broadly, the challenges facing the Church to get safeguarding right.

The Church's aspiration is that safeguarding is not experienced and approached as a matter of administrative compliance. Rather, it should be what the Church is - something that flows from its core beliefs and values, part of its DNA.

The Church has made important and positive strides over recent years. There is, however, still much to be done to keep children and vulnerable adults safe, and to promote their well-being. The Church is a complex collection of different bodies. Most of the safeguarding work is carried out locally within the 42 dioceses and cathedrals in England. This work is supported centrally by a National Safeguarding Team (NST).

The NST itself comprises three departments: Casework, Programmes and Administration, and Learning and Development, which provides high-quality safeguarding learning, policy, and guidance to those working, paid or unpaid, licensed or lay, in the Church of England. This role will be pivotal to delivering learning and development.

What you'll be doing

In this vital role, you'll join a dynamic team committed to nurturing high-quality safeguarding practice throughout the Church. You'll work alongside our two National Safeguarding Learning and Development Managers, delivering engaging in-person and online training for senior leaders, diocesan staff, and safeguarding officers.

Main responsibilities

• Deliver national learning events, including SLSP, with a focus on systemic theory and leadership development.
• Facilitate sensitive conversations around safeguarding culture, ensuring a safe and reflective learning environment.

• Organise and lead professional development programmes for Safeguarding Officers and Trainers.
