The role is a key part of the Doctors of the World (DOTW) UK Policy and Advocacy team, contributing to the implementation of our three-year strategy and maximising the impact of our policy and advocacy function. 2. Working with Communications and Learning and Development teams, internal networks and other stakeholders, to deliver better experiences for our disabled workforce from the point they apply for a role.

Essentials:

• Experienced in delivering strategic accessibility interventions and influencing positive change at all levels of a large and complex organisation and the wider sector
• Personal commitment to making a tangible difference to accessibility with a focus on physical disability, sensory disabilities and neurodiverse people and communities.
• An advocate and practitioner of accessible design and clear communication
• Background and confidence in working with people with lived experience of access barriers and providing support and advice to organisations around accessibility.
• Comfortable to proactively challenge internal policy, practices and communications to better include marginalised groups. 
• Expertise on accessible communications, with experience working to improve standards of internal communications and co-designing engaging content for external communication
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to role model and drive behaviour change across all areas of accessibility
• In depth knowledge of accessibility standards and best practise within the UK. Including: WCAG, social model of disability, universal design principles, access to work, reasonable adjustments and working application of the Equality Act 2010

The Role

​This post will operate at a national level alongside similar posts in the rail industry. It will seek to develop ties with all train operator and Network Rail communications team and will play a key role in delivering Samaritans messages at a national level.

Overall purpose of the role

The Senior Communications Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional communications to enhance Orbis UK's profile in both the UK and the Middle East. The position is responsible for implementing strategic plans for UK and Middle East audiences, while supporting the Media and PR Manager in boosting Orbis UK's brand presence. The role also includes leading reputation and crisis management responses and plans.

The Media and PR Manager reports directly to this position, and together, they will collaborate to deliver effective communications plans. We are pleased to be working with a charity that empowers young people, in their search for a temporary Executive Assistant to support their senior leadership team.

This role is starting as soon as possible, and running for 3-6 weeks in the first instance, however it might go permanent for the ideal candidate. This is a full time role, 37.5 hours per week. You will be required on site twice a week (Tuesday and Wednesday), and the remainder remote.

The Intensive Care National Audit & Research Centre (ICNARC) is a small, independent, nationally and internationally respected, scientific, not-for-profit organisation (c65 staff), that uses accurate data to help improve the quality of critical care through audit, research and education, conducted with and in the interests of patients and those who care for them.
 
We are currently looking to appoint an experienced HR Administrator. You will be responsible for administering an efficient, professional and confidential HR service to all at ICNARC and you will act as a key contact to colleagues and Managers, supporting them through a variety of processes within the employee lifecycle.
 
About the role
 
Your key responsibilities will include:

• Recruitment and onboarding of new employees
• Management of the offboarding process
• Collating HR data for monthly payroll and liaison with our outsourced payroll bureau
• Administration of benefit and schemes
• All HR administration including maintaining systems and employee records
• Acting as a point of contact, advising in accordance with our policies and procedures

 
What you will need to succeed
 
You will be a self-starter with a pro-active and positive manner and a willingness to demonstrate flexibility as part of a small team. As well as being highly organised and efficient, we are looking for someone who has:
 
Experience in a similar role within HR.
Sound understanding of HR policies, procedures and best practice.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook with a high level of general IT competence.
Experience in the use of a HR Information System (we use Moorepay).

It goes without saying that in this people-focused role, you’ll need excellent customer/stakeholder engagement and communication skills and an ability to manage sensitive and confidential information professionally.
