The Senior Social Media Manager will play a crucial role in leading Alzheimer's Research UK's social media function, driving supporter growth, brand awareness, engagement, and income; as well as significantly advancing our influencing and advocacy goals. This role is a key investment in transforming our social media output, aligning with the broader Digital, Data and Technology and Strategic Marketing plans that are developing our future operating model.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing a compelling, integrated, proactive and reactive organic social media strategy that positions Alzheimer's Research UK as the leading voice in dementia research in the UK. This role will ensure our social media presence consistently reflects the highest standards of quality and creativity, while driving our strategic roadmap across platforms. Beyond responding to conversations and trends, this role will help the charity contribute to discussions, shape narratives, and influence public dialogue in ways that support our mission and values. You will lead a talented and passionate team, continuing to build a high-performing environment and acting as a visible ambassador for our socials both internally and externally.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Strategic Leadership
· Social Media Strategy Development: Build on an existing comprehensive, integrated social media strategy aligned with our fundraising, brand, communication, influencing, and advocacy goals, ensuring it contributes to our organisational strategy.
· Team Leadership & Management: Provide strong leadership and line management to the Social Media Manager, continue to build a high-performing social team of five others, setting clear objectives, and supporting their professional development.
· Cross-Organisational Integration: Work closely with senior colleagues across the organisation to integrate social media into wider marketing and organisational objectives, ensuring a fully prioritised, holistic 'engagement-first' approach.
· Future-Proofing & AI Adoption: Lead the strategic exploration, development, and implementation of AI tools within the social media function, identifying opportunities for AI while ensuring human guardianship for brand consistency and strategic alignment.
· Performance Reporting: Be accountable for social media performance, providing detailed and accurate reporting to senior stakeholders, using data and insights to drive optimisation and inform future strategies.
Operational Excellence & Innovation
· Content Strategy & Oversight: Oversee the development and delivery of proactive social media content that resonates with a range of audiences across multiple platforms (e.g. people with dementia/carers, decision-makers, supporters, wider public). This content should come from multiple teams and sources; and this role will focus on ensuring the highest levels of quality.
· Breaking News & Responsiveness: Ensure the team can react quickly and appropriately to breaking news and channel-specific trends, developing and executing robust processes and protocols for rapid, impactful responses.
· Community Management Excellence: Champion and oversee best-in-class community management, ensuring empathetic, timely, and on-brand interactions with our supporters, stakeholders and the public.
· Target Audience Engagement: Work with teams across the organisation to develop and manage processes to engage with key target audiences including celebrities, influencers, politicians and fundraisers.
· Out-of-Hours Coverage: Implement and manage a formalised structure for out-of-hours cover, ensuring consistent responsiveness and shared responsibility across the social team.

· Internal Training & Upskilling: Drive internal digital and social literacy by providing expert guidance, training, and support to other teams across the organisation, enabling greater shared ownership of social media best practices.
· External Partner Management: Provide strategic oversight and guardianship for any outsourced social media support, ensuring high standards of service, brand alignment, and value.
· Stakeholder Influence: Influence and collaborate at the highest levels with senior stakeholders across the organisation, advocating for social media's critical role in achieving campaign and organisational goals.

Additional Information:
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

About the Role
We're looking for a Therapy Manager to join the team. Leading a team of trauma-informed therapists while delivering trauma-informed therapeutic services. We are a dynamic service with a holistic service model, so the senior role is supporting wider than just direct delivery.
You'll play a key role in supporting clients, managing communications, supporting volunteers/placements. You will work closely with our community development team and criminal justice teams to ensure survivors have access to the right support. All staff have a thematic leadership area to expand the organisations knowledge in areas impacting male survivors and their loved ones.

You’ll be someone who is a qualified and experienced therapist working with trauma with a background of leading effective teams. We’re especially keen to hear from people with experience in working with men, sexual harms and supporting therapist and trainees, but we value transferable skills too. ShareAction’s Banking Standards team works towards holding financial institutions accountable for their impact on climate change. We have a history of campaigning on key aspects of banks’ climate strategies – such as their emission reduction targets or fossil fuel policies – and we are gradually expanding our work to include other sustainability themes and banking regulation. We have achieved significant wins, such as contributing to HSBC becoming the world’s largest bank to cease financing for new oil and gas fields, Barclays dramatically reducing its oil sands financing, and mobilising investors to call on Societe Generale to set a renewable energy target.
The team is structured around two main pillars: our campaigning and our research pillar. The research pillar ensures that the team’s campaigning and advocacy work is based on sound analysis and facts. The Senior Research Manager oversees the research pillar, currently composed of three more junior researchers. The Senior Research Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a research strategy that underpins campaign needs for analysis and insight in line with campaign timelines and available resources. You will oversee and contribute to the delivery of high-quality research outputs, including thematic reports, investor briefings, and surveys of Europe’s largest banks, and ensure that they are underpinned by clear and robust research methodologies. Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, this role will be responsible for personally securing high six- and seven-figure gift from Trusts and Foundations. You will be working closely with the whole Philanthropy team to coordinate on the overall strategy and targets for maximising philanthropic giving to the organisation.
The successful candidate will have significant fundraising or income generating experience and a proven track record of securing income at the high six- and seven-figure level. You will have demonstrable experience in managing a high value and diverse portfolio of Trusts and Foundations that include complex relationships.

We’re a Founder-led charity working to solve learn-to-swim for disabled children - and we plan to do it in the next 10 years.
We own and operate some of the UK’s most iconic outdoor swims - including the Dart10k and Bantham Swoosh - and we’ve built a growing series of 24-hour relay swims in lakes and lidos. Our swim events raise over £1m a year, with 80% of that income unrestricted. Our community of 3,000 fundraisers is at the heart of that success.

The role
As our Challenge Events / Supporter Journey / Fundraiser Experience Manager (call it what you like), you’ll lead the supporter journey for our 3,000 challenge event fundraisers - making sure every interaction is personal, motivating and meaningful.
You’ll plan and deliver comms across all channels, from automated emails to personal messages and calls. You’ll ensure people feel seen, valued, and inspired - and help them understand the difference they’re making.
Your goals will be to increase fundraising per head in the short term, and supporter lifetime value in the longer term. You’ll also help us explore opportunities for repeat fundraising, corporate giving, major donors, and regular giving - working closely with the wider fundraising and events team.
You’ll be the go-to expert on supporter journeys: leading, challenging, testing, and building evidence for what works. From refining the Fundraiser Hub to creating new stewardship ideas or in-person experiences, you’ll shape a journey that turns one-time swimmers into lifelong supporters.
You’ll also collaborate with our Events Marketing team - because our fundraisers aren’t just donors, they’re also our best ambassadors. The better their experience, the stronger our word-of-mouth marketing and the faster our events grow.
You’ll have a lot of freedom to test ideas - as long as you can show the financial model makes sense.

Learn
- Review and lead audience insight to understand motivations and barriers
- Spot opportunities to increase value, connection and community
Design
- Optimise our Supporter Journey plan to increase fundraising per head and product depth, and build strong, long-term relationships with supporters.
- Ensure that our ‘Fundraiser Hub’ and other materials meet industry best practice
Deliver
- Send all emails for 15-20 events, following the Supporter Journey plan
- Attend many weekend swim events throughout the summer, giving our fundraisers the best possible experience to ensure that they sign-up to an event in the future
- Deliver additional personal touches to deepen relationships, for example in-person events, training groups, information, offers, case studies, phone calls, hand-written cards, personalised thank-you communications, impact updates, recognition opportunities
- Lead our CRM use, keeping it up to date with supporter information
- Have a good knowledge and understanding of our ‘Swimmer Hub’ and where to access information about our swims
Deepen
- Cross-sell other fundraising products to our swimmer audience. We magic up 3,000 new relationships every year
- Maximise the opportunities each year to identify Corporates, Major Donors, Regular Givers, T&Fs and repeat fundraisers from this audience
- Develop new products - like Regular Giving or Memberships - with this audience in mind first.
Improve
- Take a data-driven approach to improving our Supporter Journey and Communications across our products
- Track data and deliver regular reporting to the Head of Fundraising and CEO to ensure that we remain on track for fundraising targets (e.g. JustGiving pages and amount raised so far)
- Continuously develop by learning and following industry best practice and current trends to identify opportunities to improve our Supporter Journey.
Supporting Individual Fundraisers
- Input to CRM - Design and deliver Supporter Journey
- Create tips, templates, and tools (like email drafts, social media post ideas) for effective fundraising.
- Respond to Fundraisers through our Fundraising email inbox and social media pages and messaging platforms.
- Work closely with our mailing house to post fundraiser thank you's where necessary.
Fundraising know-how
- Stay informed and educate others on the latest fundraising trends and tools by engaging with industry updates, attending webinars, and exploring best practices.
- Regularly share insights and recommendations with the internal team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement in fundraising innovations.
- Ensure that you are up to date with Fundraising Regulator best practice and legal process and attend regular training sessions on industry changes or updates.
Desirable skills and experience
- Customer Experience or Customer journey design & delivery
- Previous experience working in or with an ambitious charity or nonprofit
- Familiarity with fundraising trends and best practice
- A point of view on supporter upgrade, cross-sell, or stewardship strategies
- Experience working on donor or customer retention
- (For Manager Level) Demonstrable success overseeing and growing a broad fundraising mix, from T&F to Challenge Events, Corporate to Regular Giving.

You will have the overall responsibility for delivering timely data analysis insight of the ASF financial performance against prior years and budget/reforecasts, providing recommendations to facilitate improvements. Working closely and collaboratively with the financial accountant and the wider finance team.
This is a hands on role and some of your key responsibilities will be:
· Carrying out monthly trends / variance analysis covering the P&L, balance sheets and funds flow.
· Lead the budget and 3-year planning process working closely with the senior management team.
· Provide a quarterly forecast, reviewing salesforce data with the senior management and finance teams.
· Proactively meet with and support the COO, Head Office and Centre managers to discuss actions following regular salesforce data analysis to maximise sales opportunities whilst reviewing staffing levels and costs.
· Prepare meaningful reports for the senior management meetings and for board/Trustees’ meetings for the CEO.
· Work with the CEO and management team on scenario planning and cash flow forecasting.
· Assist with financial modelling and due dilligence of new activities and ventures.
