We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Knowledge and Information Manager to lead our recently expanded Knowledge and Information team. In this role you will have responsibility for leading the development of our highly regarded information and resources, to support, and empower everyone affected by Crohn’s or Colitis. This includes our evidence-based online and printed publications, web content, research summaries and other information, ensuring it is relevant, and accessible to all.
You will be driving new initiatives and developing tactical plans for the team which meet our strategic objectives.
You will be a member of the charity’s Management Development Forum, providing leadership across the organisation and liaising with the Senior Leadership Team and contributing to the leadership, planning and delivery of cross-team projects.

About You
You will be skilled in the translation of complex medical and health information into engaging and accessible patient information, and have experience of working with patients and healthcare professionals to develop information resources in line with recognised standards.

About the role:
Kinship are seeking to recruit experienced event co-ordinators with a whole range of skills and great energy to join our brand-new training team. They will be responsible for delivering this first ever programme of its type supporting kinship carers across England in their caring role.
As a pivotal part of the team, you’ll be supporting delivery of high-quality in-person and online training events across England. You’ll be the first point of contact for the team and be experienced and responsive in dealing with enquiries. You’ll be used to working with suppliers and have proven experience of planning, co-ordinating and supporting the delivery of large events. You’ll bring significant working experience of using Microsoft tools, and other platforms and technology including Zoom. You’ll have a positive, can-do approach and the ability to work with initiative, being curious and always thinking ahead to anticipate need and deal with issues.
Collaboration will be key to your approach, and you’ll be detail orientated and be great at managing your time and priorities, and working to consistently high standards. You’ll plan, co-ordinate and support the successful delivery of all our online and in-person events, including being available and involved as needed on site.
In this role, you’ll travel across England and may have overnight stays from time to time. We offer training and support to enable you to be successful in your role and we’re happy to discuss requirements if you have kinship caring responsibilities.

The Role
Reporting to the Compliance Lead, the Compliance Officer will drive the development of an improved Compliance culture throughout the charity whilst ensuring that we adhere to all relevant regulations and laws.

Charity People have partnered with a £4million turnover NFP organisation called Advice UK, to help recruit an IT Officer.
This is a newly created role, fully remote where you are required to come to London once a month. The role offers a salary between £32,000 - £34,000 per annum + Regional Weighting, which will be pro-ratad for three days a week.

About the role
This vacancy is for a University Access Officer to work in the West Midlands across up to 4 schools (maximum) along with working remotely; exact school location(s) to be confirmed at interview. Our schools are shown on a map of The Access Project schools on our website. Access to own transport or reliable transport would be ideal. The University Access Officer works with school staff at all levels, volunteers, and with the rest of The Access Project’s team to ensure that the delivery of the programme is optimised.
Role responsibilities
Some of our schools undertake our Accelerate model, which includes mentoring and coaching. Other schools also have tutoring included on our Accelerate Plus model. Depending on the model in the schools you are based in, role responsibilities will include:
Accelerate
- Engage with students in school and enrol them onto the programme
- Assess student progress towards being able to make successful university applications
- Upload information onto the Salesforce database (training is provided)
- Support the Volunteering team with the management of volunteer coaches to ensure they have a positive experience of the programme
- Work with school staff to ensure their cooperation and timely completion of activities contributing to the smooth running of the programme
- Chair and present at school meetings with Senior Management to report on programme progress.
- University Access Officers support the volunteering team by helping to deliver volunteer training sessions, and attending university site visits, which take place on occasional Saturdays and weekday evenings (paid time off is provided).

Hope and Homes for Children is looking for a Funding Coordination Officer (this is the job title used internally for this role), who'll play a key supportive role in the Grants Partnerships team and Marketing, Communications and Fundraising (MCF) department, contributing directly to the Grants team income target as well as supporting fundraisers across the department to access compelling information in support of their fundraising.

We are recruiting a full-time Funding Officer working across Birmingham & Solihull on a fixed term contract up until December 2024.
You’ll be part of a team of 6, led by two Funding Managers and working alongside 3 other full time Funding Officers, as part of The Birmingham & Solihull patch which works within a larger Midlands team.
Ideally you will live in or near to Birmingham and have an excellent knowledge of the city. This role is classed as mobile working which means you will be expected to work from and visit several locations across the area, including your home. The ability to drive and have access to a vehicle is therefore beneficial, although not essential.
- You will assess applications for funding and manage grants using local knowledge, best practice, thematic expertise and the experience of customers and stakeholders to improve our grant making and inform our decision making.

This role is responsible for research and evaluation across all areas of the organisation to support strategic and operational decision-making. This includes primary research (surveys, interviews, focus groups, participatory research etc.) and data analysis skills to produce recommendations and actionable insights to drive behaviour change, and adapt and improve our practice.
You should have experience of designing and leading mixed method research projects (quantitative and qualitative), using a range of tools to analyse and evaluate a variety of datasets and interpreting your findings into robust recommendations. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to adapt these to different audiences. The role will support the Research and Insight Manager.
Ideally, you will bring a high level of expertise across all the knowledge and skills we are looking for, as set out further below. We will consider candidates who require some development in areas of their knowledge and are willing to learn whilst in the role.

Main duties
- Design, manage and deliver multiple community-based research and evaluation projects.
- Use a range of research methods such as interviews, surveys, focus groups, case studies, participatory research, journey mapping, literature reviews, case studies and stories.
- Use a range of data analysis tools to interrogate mixed method research data (quantitative and qualitative) and produce robust findings. This will include the use of NVivo, SPSS and Microsoft Excel.
- Turn primary and secondary research findings into actionable insights, providing evidence and recommendations for problem solving, critical thinking, decision making and innovation.
- Identify, analyse and interpret relevant local and national data sources and evidence to provide actionable insights and contextual understanding.
- Use excellent written communication skills to produce outputs including reports, briefings, profiles, presentations and infographics, and tailoring these to a variety of audiences.
- Work collaboratively with the team, other directorates and stakeholders to understand their research needs, to implement research processes and procedures, in-line with organisational priorities and the needs of funders.
- Understand and adhere to information management policies, research ethics and governance legislation, including, data privacy and data protection legislation, including GDPR.

- Experience of using a range of analytical tools and software that will allow you to apply your skills in mixed method research (quantitative and qualitative), to produce robust findings. This will include the use of MS Office, SPSS, MS Excel (advanced) and NVivo (transcription and coding). (Essential)
- Excellent written communication skills with experience in producing outputs including reports, briefings, profiles, presentations and infographics, and tailoring these to a variety of audiences. (Essential)
- Experience of building and maintaining strong working relationships, including working collaboratively with teams across an organisation and with external stakeholders (Essential)
- Knowledge and experience of information management, research ethics and governance legislation, including, data privacy and data protection legislation, including GDPR. (Essential)
- Experience and understanding of behavioural research, behavioural insight, and/or, the COM-B Model. (Desirable)
- Experience of sourcing, analysing and interpreting existing national and local data to produce trends and comparisons. (Desirable)
